Petition to All Current Sponsors and Donors of The OSPCA

PETITION TO ALL CURRENT SPONSORS AND DONORS OF THE OSPCA

We, the undersigned, residents of Canada wish to bring to your attention that the events surrounding the York Region OSPCA “ringworm outbreak” have undermined the public’s confidence in the OSPCA. The OSPCA has not been transparent about the details and facts regarding their original decision to blanket euthanize 350 animals at this animal facility. The SENIOR MANAGEMENT has admitted that this horrible tragedy could have been prevented had there not been a breakdown in “protocols”. As a self governing body and a charity, WE CANNOT REST ASSURED that the necessary oversight is in place if THE CURRENT BOARD OF OSPCA DIRECTORS AND THE CURRENT OSPCA SENIOR MANAGEMENT MEMBERS ARE allowed to continue forward as such.

THEREFORE, we call upon ALL CURRENT SPONSORS AND DONORS OF THE OSPCA to take control of this situation and demand FULL accountability and public responsibility. WE DEMAND THE IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION OF THE ENTIRE CURRENT BOARD OF OSPCA DIRECTORS AND THE CURRENT OSPCA SENIOR MANAGEMENT MEMBERS.

WE WILL BOYCOTT ANY OSPCA SPONSOR ALONG WITH THEIR AFFILIATES DURING THIS TIME UNTIL EACH AND EVERY OSPCA BOARD OF DIRECTOR AND SENIOR MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL LISTED ABOVE HAS BEEN REPLACED. WE REFUSE TO CONTRIBUTE FINANCIALLY TO THE OSPCA UNTIL EVERY OSPCA BOARD OF DIRECTOR AND SENIOR MANAGEMENT INDIVIDUAL LISTED ABOVE HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THEIR POSITION.
