Whiteroom fans are making waves in Australia. The Sunday Telegraph (the biggest newspaper in Sydney) picked up the story as follows:

More than 1300 fans of Melbourne rockers, The White Room, have signed an online petition aimed at getting the band onto the bill at the summer festivals, Big Day Out and Homebake.

On a good night, The White Room - Formerlly known as Plunja - are drawing between 300-350 punters to their gigs in Melbourne, and about 150 in Sydney.

An EP of their heavy and melodic rock, Enemies Closer, is available now, with an album to follow in August.

Last week the band flew to New Zealand to appear at a retail music conference.

Singer Marc Collis told me the band was close to snaring the support slot on a national tour with a well-known artist.

"I can't say who it is, because we've been sworn to secrecy", Collis said.
