Petition Tag - terrorist
Since the tragedy’s at Columbine High School on April 20th of 1999, our nation has bared witness to more than it's rightful share of school shootings, massacres and terrorists acts.
The most recent of such attacks happened on December 14, 2012, at Sandy Hooks Elementary School in Newton, CT killing 20 six and seven year old children and six adults. Our children are not safe. This cannot be tolerated any longer in simple hopes of a better solution. Our children have the right to go to school and be safe from the tyranny of terrorists.
It is up to you Mr. President and our respected, elected officials to grant us the means necessary to better arm our schools and shield our beloved. This threat cannot be solved by written law to try and deter terror. Taking away guns leaves our children left to fate and that’s a risk parents are not willing to take. We want our schools armed.
ASCAT demands that every school have at least one armed Police or Military Officer on campus during school hours and extended activities after school hours. The following is a list of other demands we want to see enforced:
1. Five willing and evaluated teachers from every campus to undergo police and firearm training, licensed to carry a concealed firearm.
2. Required firearm training and carrying license for the principal of every school and have them armed on campus.
3. Gun safes in classrooms of participating teachers and principals office to restrain access by students.
4. Panic buttons placed in every classroom with a unique sound that can be delivered throughout the school and to police to alert of terrorists attacks.
5. Teacher & Staff anti-terrorists seminars and workshops.
6. Act and Respond panic drills for students.
7. Locks on classrooms with reinforced doors and glass.
8. Better front door security and reinforcements.
9. Secondary devices such as electric tasers for participating teachers and principal.
10. Secondary reinforced door access to student population.
This isn’t a battle that is going to end without a fight. For the safety of our children and our educators we must arm our schools. It is just a matter of time before this happens again and when it does we must be ready.
You can’t stop a terrorist from attempting an attack, but you can stand up against them when the attack is made.
As Canadians deeply concerned with public safety and national security, we demand federal action in investigating and acting upon residents and citizens who have misrepresented their ties to terrorist and fundamental organizations to gain entry and/ or citizenship in Canada.
I own a legal firm north of Toronto and have extensive experience in human rights tribunals and immigration related litigation.
Omar Khadr, the terrorist convicted of killing American medic Sgt Speer in Afghanistan, is attempting to return to Canada. His family, who are known Pakistani terrorist sympathizers, gained Canadian citizenship despite clear ties to fundamentalist Islamic groups like al Qaeda.
Similarly, Canada is infested with Islamic individuals, groups, and mosques promoting hatred and genocide.
This year alone, Toronto’s East End Madrassah was caught with anti Semitic teachings in its curriculum. Additionally, the Walk In Islamic Info Centre, which advertises in the TTC and in street corner booths, was found to have website links to preachers promoting genocide and bigotry.
In July, Islamic street preacher Al-Haashim Kamena Atangana was found to be teaching followers that Western women who wear revealing clothing deserve to be raped. This individual also runs websites with links to groups promoting genocide and hatred.
Martin Collacott, former Canadian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Senior Fellow with the authoritative Fraser Institute, has repeatedly stated that there has been inadequate screening of arrivals to Canada from terrorist infested regions, such as Pakistan and the Middle East.
Section 10(2) of the Canadian Citizenship Act states that:
A person shall be deemed to have obtained citizenship by false representation or fraud or by knowingly concealing material circumstances if the person was lawfully admitted to Canada for permanent residence by false representation or fraud or by knowingly concealing material circumstances and, because of that admission, the person subsequently obtained citizenship.
On July 19th, 2011, Immigration Minister Jason Kenney announced his intention to revoke the citizenship of 1800 people who have obtained their status through fraudulent means.
In view of widespread terrorism, genocide, and fundamentalism in certain regions of the world, and taking into account the recent epidemic of Islamic hate mongering and fundamentalism in Canada, it is reasonable to ask for an audit of all citizens and residents who have arrived in Canada from Pakistan and the Middle East over the last three decades.
Canadians United against Terror
As Canadians deeply concerned about public safety and national security, we demand transparency in the matter of Omar Khadr’s imminent return to Canada.
In 2010, Khadr was sentenced by an American jury for the 2002 murder of army medic U.S. Sgt. Christopher Speer in Afghanistan. Khadr admitted in 2010 that he was given multiple chances to surrender, thought the soldiers entering his compound were looking for the wounded and dead and believed the firefight was over. He still threw a grenade that killed Speers.
Although the prosecutors were asking for sixteen years, based on the strength of expert forensic psychiatrist, Dr. Michael Welner’s testimony on stand, the jury still gave Khadr a harsh sentence of forty years.
Khadr’s defense team and the Obama administration fought relentlessly and succeeded in preventing Welner’s sixty page final report and eight hours of videotapes interviewing Khadr from being evidence at the trial. However, they couldn’t keep Welner off the stand. This evidence was deemed so incriminating that had the jury actually seen it, they may have sentenced Khadr even more harshly than forty years!
Unfortunately, the jury verdict was meaningless as a secret deal was struck between the Obama administration and the Canadian Foreign Affairs minister. Khadr was given a light sentence, eight years with the provision that Canada take him back after one additional year in a U.S. prison.
However, there may be a way to keep this highly dangerous, unreformed al Qaeda terrorist out of Canada according to Ezra Levant in his book “The Enemy Within”.
According to Section 10 of the Canadian law, the ITOA (International Transfer of Offenders Act), the decision to accept a prisoner from another country is made by the Minister of Public Safety. Yet Canadians and the Minister of Public Safety have not been allowed to view Welner’s incriminating evidence on Khadr.
According to Section 10(1)(a) of the ITOA, Canada must consider whether the transfer of Khadr “would constitute a threat to the security of Canada”. Section 10(1)(b) of the law asks whether Khadr “left or remained outside Canada with the intention of abandoning Canada as (his) place of permanent residence” Section 10(1)(c) asks whether Khadr has “social or family ties” in Canada. Section 10(2) adds “whether, in the Minister’s opinion, the offender will, after the transfer, commit a terrorism offence or criminal organization offence”.
Khadr spend nearly his entire life in Pakistan and Afghanistan, joining al Qaeda. Most of his family are a self-described cell of al Qaeda while remaining Canadians of convenience. Welner concludes that Khadr is highly dangerous, remorseless and unrepentant, and the chance for successful de-radicalization is unlikely.
The Obama deal states that the U.S. government does not have the authority to “bind the government of Canada to allow the accused to enter the country, or to direct, control or otherwise influence the accused’s confinement, transfer, parole, or release while in the custody of the government of Canada”. The Americans may complete the paperwork for the prisoner transfer but Canada can refuse Khadr’s entry.
All too often we are reminded that terrorism continues to inflict pain and suffering on people’s lives all over the world. Almost no week goes by without an act of terrorism taking place somewhere in the world, indiscriminately affecting innocent people who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Countering this scourge is in the interest of all nations and the issue has been on the agenda of the United Nations for decades.
Eighteen universal instruments (fourteen instruments and four amendments) against international terrorism have been elaborated within the framework of the United Nations system relating to specific terrorist activities. Member States through the General Assembly have been increasingly coordinating their counter-terrorism efforts and continuing their legal norm-setting work. The Security Council has also been active in countering terrorism through resolutions and by establishing several subsidiary bodies. At the same time a number of programmes, offices and agencies of the United Nations system have been engaged in specific activities against terrorism, further assisting Member States in their counter-terrorism efforts.
To consolidate and enhance these activities, Member States in September 2006 embarked upon a new phase in their counter-terrorism efforts by agreeing on a global strategy to counter terrorism. The Strategy marks the first time that all Member States of the United Nations have agreed to a common strategic and operational framework to fight terrorism. The Strategy forms a basis for a concrete plan of action: to address the conditions conducive to the spread of terrorism; to prevent and combat terrorism; to take measures to build state capacity to fight terrorism; to strengthen the role of the United Nations in combating terrorism; and to ensure the respect of human rights while countering terrorism. The Strategy builds on the unique consensus achieved by world leaders at their 2005 September Summit to condemn terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
No one is looking at Nigeria Terrorist group at present; Nigeria is a very good save heaven for the Terrorist because of bribery and corruption that was used in building the nation. The Security is very relaxed due to the low paid salary giving to the security agents and no good DNA systems and tracking of individual person involved. The border is free and anyone can claim to be a Nigerian at any time because the country hardly knows its citizens.
Religious belief promotes and honors a lazy intellect. And it is by appealing to ones lazy intellect that one can be persuaded to perform the most horrendous of acts.
To get beyond the tragic events resulting from 'fanatical' religious activity as evidenced thought human history people need to begin to think. And thereby begin to understand their purpose right here on planet earth.
Britain's counter-terrorism strategy was thrown into turmoil when a judge ruled that two Pakistani students posed a serious threat to national security but could not be deported because of the risk they would be tortured or killed in their own country.
A special immigration court ruled that Abid Naseer was an al-Qaida operative who remained a serious threat, while his friend Ahmed Faraz Khan had been radicalised before coming to the UK and was willing to participate in terrorist activity.
Neither man was allowed to see the evidence upon which the court reached its decision, and nor was their solicitor. After they had been publicly identified as terrorism suspects, the court also ruled that it was not possible for them to be deported to Pakistan, where terrorism suspects face torture or death.
Mr Justice Mitting, chair of the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (Siac), said that in Pakistan "there is a long and well-documented history of disappearances, illegal detention and of the torture and ill-treatment of those detained, usually to produce information, a confession or compliance".
Mr Naseer, 23, was one of 10 Pakistani men arrested last April as part of a massive counter-terrorism operation in Liverpool and Manchester.
Christians are denied their human rights in orissa, karnataka and gujrat in India.
There is a complete breakdown of law and order there.
Iceland is an island in the middle of Atlantic ocean, without an army and has newer invaded any country in the world.
Conflicts in Iceland have been solved by peaceful ways for over 600 years, and can easily establish a safe and peaceful environment, necessary to solve arguments and conflicts throughout the world.
On September 11, 2001 two terrorist planes struck the World Trade Center along with one other terrorist plane that struck the pentagon. The World Trade Center collapsed, with people still inside.
In total, 2973 people were confirmed dead, and 24 remain missing as a result of the terrorist attack. Those people were ordinary people, citizens of the United States. Those people had family all around our country and even the world.
Because of the terrorist attack on 9/11, The United States remains in a war in Iraq, where al-Qaeda and the other terrorists came from. It has been almost five years, and the war goes on. An official count of 19,890 Americans have died in combat, but it has been estmated as 20,000 - 48,100.

Under truth-in-advertising principles, the ACLU should be an acronym for Anti-God Communists and Lunatics United instead of American Civil Liberties Union. But cunning far leftists prefer seductively sensible-sounding names to truth in advertising.
Likewise, the Center for Constitutional Rights should be renamed the Center for Unconstitutional Wrongs.
The Associated Press reported that these two self-misdescribed "civil liberties" organizations filed lawsuits in United States District Courts in New York and Detroit attempting to block President Bush's warrantless eavesdropping program (which is designed to prevent the horror of terrorist attacks on America), arguing, absurdly, that such electronic surveillance is unconstitutional, because it involved Americans receiving calls from abroad from terrorists or suspected terrorists.
The New York suit, filed on behalf of the Center and individuals, named President Bush, the head of the National Security Agency, and the heads of the other major security agencies, challenging the NSA's surveillance of persons within the United States without judicial approval or statutory authorization.
It seeks an injunction that would prohibit the government from conducting surveillance of communications in the United States without warrants.
The Detroit suit, which also names the NSA, was filed by the ACLU along with the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Greenpeace and several individuals.
Just what America needs during a War on Terror: to distract the government's attention from that war to litigating with egomaniacs bent on undermining America and aiding and abetting the terrorists.
Were companion suits filed against the terrorists, along with a request for an injunction against them calling people in the United States as part of their war on America?
Of course not.
President Bush has explained that the wiretapping is legal and necessary, pointing not only to his inherent power as Commander-in-Chief, but also to a congressional resolution passed after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, that authorized him to use force in the fight against terrorism as allowing him to order the program.
The program authorized eavesdropping of international phone calls and e-mails of people deemed a terror risk.
To protect America, a President can go much farther than that, of course..
In 1944, during World War II, in Korematsu v. United States, the United States Supreme Court held that it was legal to exclude all persons of Japanese descent from their homes and communities by military fiat power, the threat of the Japanese during World War II being perceived, rightly or wrongly, as sufficient in the circumstances, because "the power to protect must be commensurate with the threatened danger."
These days, with World War II won and the threats of Nazism and Communist distant history, the United States Supreme Court decision in Korematsu is viewed as having gone too far. Perhaps so (as former Federal Bureau of Investigation Director J. Edgar Hoover argued to Franklin Delano Roosevelt, then America's President and Commander-in-Chief). But surely President Bush's limited warrantless surveillance is hardly "unreasonable" after September 11, 2001.
The Fourth Amendment protects property and prohibits only "unreasonable searches and seizures." It implicitly acknowledges that some warrantless searches and seizures would be reasonable and it was not written and ratified to help America's enemies wreck havoc.
In 1921, in Gouled v. United States, 255 U.S. 298, the United States Supreme Court explained not only that the Fourth Amendment banned only such searches and seizures as are "unreasonable," but also that it is to be construed in the light of what was deemed an unreasonable search and seizure when it was adopted and in a manner to conserve public interests as well as the rights of individuals.
Protecting America from terrorist attack trumps the interest of Americans who prefer that their calls with terorists and/or terrorist suspects be private.
Wiretapping was NOT within the purview of the Fourth Amendment. So said a majority of the Supremes, correctly, in Olmstead v. United States, 277 U.S. 338 (1928). In Olmstead, the Supremes reviewed convictions obtained on the basis of evidence gained through taps on telephone wires in violation of state law. On a five-to- four vote, the Court held that wiretapping was not within the confines of the Fourth Amendment. Chief Justice Taft, writing for the Court, set forth two sound reasons for the sensible conclusion: (1) inasmuch as the Fourth Amendment was designed to protect one's property interest in his premises, there was no search so long as there was no physical trespass on premises owned or controlled by a defendant; and (2) all the evidence obtained had been secured by hearing, and the interception of a conversation could not qualify as a seizure, for the Fourth Amendment referred only to the seizure of tangible items.
Chief Justice (and former President) Taft was right! Winning the War on Terror and avoiding catastrophic terrorist attacks are legitimate public interests, since the Constitution was not created as a suicide pact.
This petition is to pressurise Government of India, International community to form a group for a massive anti-terrorism operation.
On 11th july 2006 terrorism struck and again on Mumbai (India).Seven Local trains were blown up not in one but at seven different places of mumbai within a span of 15 minutes, leaving more than 190 killed and 700 wounded.
These blasts were followed by blast in Srinagar(Jammu & kashmir),a regular feature in srinagar. While the Assam blast(JUNE 08) and varanasi blast(march 7)are still afresh in the minds of people.
Terrorist attacks have become regular feature in most of the countries including america, Britain,India Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka, afghanistan. In month of May, maharashtra police arrested 3 terrorists belonging to LeT (Lashkar-e-tayyaba) and SIMI with 33 kg of RDX,but one car and two of its accomplice managed to escape.
So it was clear that the person who escaped must have been carrying RDX. This should have immediately raised the alarm to protect the nearest important city which is mumbai, but the government did not take careful notice of it and the result is out now.
Two weeks back NSCS(National security council secretarait) official S S Paul was arrested for his involvement in espionage. The above incidences suggest a strong failure of India's Intelligence bureau.
Morever, government is unable to arrest terrorists like Dawood Ibrahim(mastermind of mumbai blast 1993) who is hiding in Pakistan and Abusalem, another prime accused of mumbai blast-1993 who is under custody is not yet proved guilty. And above all banned terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda, LeT, Jaish-e-mohammad, ULFA are creating
attacks on a regular basis.
A recent rise of terrorism in bangladesh is going strong day by day. This shows that either the government is going soft on terrorist based
policies, or is inefficient or are insufficient in their resources to nab them.
Now time has come for India to give its reply to terrorism. India should give an example of its crusader-terrorism image example by arresting Dawood Ibrahim, trying abu salem, Babloo srivastava.
Other nations and oranisations like united nations and other countries should support india and work together to launch massive operation against terrorism.
Stop India from Exporting Terrorism to Nepal.
India has been creating economical as well as political problems for Nepal for the last 58 years it has become Independent from the British. Nepal wanted to become trade free zone just like Singapore, it pressurized Nepal to abandon the idea. It wanted to turn to market economy 20 years ago but India forced it to have high custom tariff. India is building dams in the border area to flood Lumbini the birth place of Lord Budha so no tourist will visit this submerge area.
Nepal has to endure Indian arm twisting because it is landlocked so it has to use Indian port for sea cargo. It took ten years to convince India to allow Nepal to link India port with railway and another three years for the train to star service after completion of the railway link. Even after 15 years the railway link in not functioning properly. India has denied Nepal right of transits numerous times and dictating its terms on Nepal economy, as a result it is now one of the poorest country in the world. Now Indian foreign minister is threatening Nepal that it has leverage against Nepal which is noting but Nepal geographical compulsion to ship cargo through India.
India has been exporting terrorism to its neighbouring countries to keeps these countries in line to the Indian wishes. Terrorism as been the inbuilt nature of Indian politics. According to very credible numbers published by human-rights groups and the Punjab judiciary, the government of India has murdered more than 250,000 Sikhs since 1984, in excess of 200,000 Christians in Nagaland since 1947, almost 75,000 Kashmiri Muslims since 1988, and tens of thousands of Assamese, Tamils, Manipuris, Dalits, and others. In 1994, the US State Department reported that the Indian government paid out over 41,000 cash bounties to police officers for killing members of the Sikh minority.
An Indian Prime Minister was killed in office resulting from hobnobbing with terrorist. A former Prime Minister Mr. Rajib Ghandi who supported and armed one of the deadliest terrorist LITTE against Sri Lanka and as result was killed by them. In 1985 it armed and trained Ramraja P. Singh in India to conduct various terrorism activities in Nepal the result was several innocent civilian were killed.
After fourteen years of corruption and misrule by corrupt politicians King of Nepal has taken a popular step and assumed direct rule. The result has been positive. Whith the polular support of the general public peace in returing to the country. Kathmandu has seen four months without bombing or innocent people being killed. It this the first time in decade three months have gone without any kind of forced strikes in Kathmandu and other towns of the country. Gradually situation in becoming normal in the country side.
Normal Nepal has chance of being out of grip of India. So now India in supporting terrorist Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) to fight against the Nepal Army. It is repeating the same story it did with Sri Lanka. Recently several terrorist who have red corner notice from the Interpol have been reported holding meetings with Indian Intelligence Agency and Politicians. India is planning to arm and train terrorist to teach Nepal a lesson.

It is supporting TERRORISM, RACISM and VIOLENCE and we do NOT need it on our great planet.
The ruthless killing of innocent Tamils by Lankan military and police should come to an end in Eelam. The Lankan military should face LTTE as their opponents not the Tamil race as a whole. Civilian killings should be ended soon.
It is ridiculous to call LTTE as terrorists. Does a terrorist group has uniformed militia anywhere? Does a terrorist group hold talks with amnesty and red cross? Does a terrorist group run administrative bodies and police station? Does a terrorist group fight against inhuman laws of a constitution? Does a terrorist group ban alcohol, smoking and drugs among its members?
An ignorant international community should stop heeding to undemocratically censored editions of Lankan media. If East Timor and Palestine are supported by the international community then why not Eelam?
Currently under Anti-Discrimination Law it is virtually impossible to even criticise Islam or Muslims. Muslims in Australia, including fire-brand clerics abuse the tolerance and protection given under Australian law by calling for the very destruction of the democratic institutions that allowed them into the country in the first place. Under the guise of religious tolerance, mosques are being used to train, brainwash and incite hatred against any non-Muslim.
We are at war against terrorism. Yet even "moderate" muslims become strangely silent when innoccent civilians are killed in atrocities committed by Muslims in the name of Islam. Where are Muslim Australians when Sept 11, Bali and Madrid and many other atrocities happened? If they sympathise with the enemy then they ARE the enemy. Mosques should not necessarily be treated as places of worship but as terrorist training camps.

This petition is in response to a growing concern that the Canadian government is merely paying lip service to the problem of terrorists and terrorist support/logistics in Canada.
In 1995 the then Prime Minister Jean Chretien personally intervened on behalf of a Canadian citizen, Ahmed Said Khadr who was being held in a Pakistani jail on charges relating to the bombing of the Egyptian Embassy in Islamabad. He had moved his family to Afghanistan and befriended Osama Bin Laden yet denied links to terror.
While living with Bin Laden in Afghanistan, they raised money in Canada amongst Muslims who were told they were aiding Afghan orphans. They had their sons trained in Al Qaeda camps to handle guns and explosives. They encouraged them to become martyrs for Islam, even suicide bombers. They nursed their hatred for Americans.
In 2001, in a grotesque family get together, they celebrated with "smiling, laughing" when Al Qaeda-comandeered jets slammed into the World Trade Center and other sites killing 3000 including 23 Canadians. Yet even today years after leaving Canada and five months after Ahmad was killed in a battle with Pakistani troops after being identified as an Al Qaeda founder and financier, his wife Maha finds her Canadian citizenship handy.
Incredibly, from Pakistan she is pressing Ottawa to issue her and her children new passports so they can roam the world armed with their extremist views. One son, Abdul Karim was paralyzed in the battle in Pakistan that killed his father; another, Abdullah, is in hiding in Pakistan; and a third, Omar is in the American detention centre in Cuba as an "enemy combatant" for killing a U.S. Army medic with a grenade. A Daughter, Zaynab, is with the mother.
"We are an Al Qaeda family", a fourth son, Abdurahman, flatly told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.
He admitted to the Toronto Star he had been "lying to everyone up until this point" about his role in the saga. Upon his release from detention in Cuba, Abdurahman was flown to europe and released. He made his way to Pakistan where he contacted his Canadian relatives. They made an appeal to the Canadian government and once again a Canadian Prime Minister (this time Paul Martin) intervened and made a public statement that if Abdurahman made his way to a Canadian consulate, he would be "welcome" to return to Canada.
These repeated interventions by the Canadian government to help known terrorists holding Canadian citizenship is damaging the credibility of Canada as a nation that can be counted on in the war on terror. In addition these actions are needlessly advertising Canada has a gullible weak link to be exploited by terrorist groups wishing to operate unhindered here.
Thirdly it increases the risk to public safety and implants doubt in the minds of Canadians that the Canadian government is taking a proactive approach to preventing future terrorist attacks on Canadian soil.
No one has right to Blame on indian govt
It is terrorist(Pakistan) who are Killing out kashmiri people this the truth But why their Killing innocent kashmiri people. Pakistan aim is to destroy Kashmir As India is a democratic

The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, or LTTE, is not a " terrorist" organization, but rather an armed force in a war against the government of Sri Lanka. Characterization of the LTTE as a "Terrorist" organization is politically motivated, having no basis in law or fact.
There is a war in Sri Lanka. The LTTE are organized militarily, with a military commander and military chain of command. The LTTE uses traditional, modern military weaponry in its combat against the military forces of the government of Sri Lanka. The LTTE uses a variety of military tactics, including open warfare, raids or guerrilla warfare. The government armed forces use similar military means against the armed forces of the LTTE. Most armies in the past 200 years have utilized essentially the same tactics. The war in Sri Lanka may be characterized as a civil war or war of national liberation in the exercise of the right to self-determination. A civil war exists if there is armed conflict inside one country between government armed forces and at least one other force having an identifiable command and having sufficient control over territory to carry out "sustained" and "concerted" military action and the practical capacity to fulfill humanitarian law obligations. The LTTE has clearly met this test for more than 10 years.
A war of national liberation exists if armed conflict exists between the armed forces of a government against the armed forces of a people that has the right to self-determination. The war in Sri Lanka is a war of national liberation because Tamil people have the right to self-determination. This is because the Tamil people, the original inhabitants of the north and east of the island of Ceylon, had their own state complete and separate from the Sinhala state prior to colonization by the British. The Tamil people, primarily Hindu, and secondarily Christian and Muslim, speak their own language and have their own traditions and customs. The Sinhala people are primarily Buddhist, and secondarily Christian and their traditions and customs reflect that heritage.
With the forced unitary rule, first as a result of colonization and then under the post-colonial Sinhala majority rule, the Tamil people were increasingly threatened. In the late 1970s, after nearly 30 years of attempted peaceful resolution to profound differences, the Tamil people began forming armed defense forces. At present, Tamil forces are consolidated in the LTTE, which continues to defend Tamil areas in a war against the Sinhala government's armed forces, "home guards" and other armed entities.
If the war in Sri Lanka is a civil war, outside states are required to be neutral- a civil war is by definition an internal affair of a state. This is known as the duty of neutrality. If the war is a war of national liberation, outside states are required to support the side with the self-determination claim- the Tamil side. This is because of the jus cogens nature of the right to self-determination. This does not mean another state must provide direct aid to the Tamil armed force. However, the other states must not engage in any activity with the Sinhala government that in any way undermines the realization of self-determination by the Tamil people.
Both parties to the armed conflict on Ceylon violate the rules of armed conflict or humanitarian law. However, the mere fact that one side or the other violates humanitarian law norms does not deny either the rights or duties of combatant forces. Accordingly, the LTTE may not be called a "terrorist" organization because in the course of the armed conflict, some of its soldiers have violated the rules of armed conflict. In the same light the government cannot be called a "terrorist " state because some of its military operations have violated armed conflict rules. Neither side, of course can be considered to violate humanitarian law for carrying out military actions.
I have noted "condemnation" of the LTTE by the government and others for carrying out military operations not prohibited in humanitarian law. For example, the LTTE shot down number of airplanes and sank a number of ships of the Sri Lankan forces. These are not violations of humanitarian law and therefore are not "terrorist".
I do note, however, the rampant disregard of humanitarian rules by government forces in military operations against hospitals, schools, market places, churches and locations with historical and cultural significance to the Tamil people. I also note the difficulty in establishing the culpable party (ies) in situations where the LTTE has been accused by the government of killing civilians. This is not to say the LTTE has not resorted to killing civilians. However, the fact that the government accuses the LTTE does not mean the LTTE actually carried out the acts in question. The government's rejection of impartial, international fact-finding makes ascertaining the truth ever more difficult.
The international Court of Justice decided that all states have an obligation under Article 1 common to the Geneva Conventions to "ensure respect" for the Geneva Conventions even when not directly or indirectly involved in a conflict. From my point of view, this requirement mandates at least that the international community insist that the government of Sri Lanka allow both humanitarian reliefs to all victims of the conflict and international, impartial fact-finding to take place

The judicial courts of Germany, Argentina and Unites States have found the Islamist regime of Iran guilty of terrorist crimes.
Terrorism Awareness Month
19-Aug to 19-Sep
Whereas terrorism is a threat to the global peace, regional security, human rights and freedom.
Whereas the judicial courts of Germany, Argentina and Unites States have found the Islamist regime of Iran guilty of terrorist crimes.
Whereas the terrorists who fire-bombed the Rex Theater on 19-Aug-1978 in Abadan Iran; had the same purpose as the terrorists who caused the World Trade Center inferno on 11-Sep-2001 in New York.
Now therefore We, the undersigned, announce the period of 19-August to 19-September as Terrorism Awareness Month .
We also urge the Heads of the world's democratic states and General Secretary of the United Nations to facilitate warrants for the arrest of the Islamic regime in Iran to be carried out.
Five Cubans are political prisoners of the United States. They suffer an injustice in different American jails. They are the victims of injustice handed out by the traditional enemies of Cuba, the extreme right wing of Miami and Washington. With fraud, pressure and maneuvers they were able to get the jury to indict them for espionage, even though it was never proven and even though in the trial the accusers recognized that they had not gained any intelligence secrets nor were they responsible for the shooting down of the two planes.
It is a crime to convict 5 heroic persons who, without ever resorting to violence, without injuring anyone, were carrying out the duty of gathering information on Miami terrorist groups and their plans against Cuba. They were treated inhumanely by a corrupt Miami court system, and are now confined in five different jails in the United States.
Almost a year after their arrest, cynically, the grave charge of murder conspiracy was leveled against them, relating them to the shooting down in February of 1996 of the two planes over international waters. Planes under the command of Jose Basulto, a shadowy Miami figure that was involved in the Bay of Pigs invasion, and a terrorist who, in 1987, had machined gun a hotel on the coast of Cuba. It can be added that for years Basulto and his band of pirates had violated Cuban airspace with full knowledge and tolerance of US authorities.
Save Millions from Death & Poverty in Iraq & preserve the Liberties of the Free World.
In the aftermath of various terrorist attacks worldwide including attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon and the Bali bombings, we implore the leaders of the United States and the Free world to ensure that justice be served by protecting the innocent citizens of all nations all over the world.

We encourage a thorough investigation of terrorist events before any retaliation.
We call for PEACE and JUSTICE so that Millions in Iraq will be saved from Death & Poverty.
The world's no 1 terrorist group, LTTE has been outlawed by USA, UK, MALAYSIA, INDIA and SRI LANKA. As the world's opinion has been changed against the terrorism, LTTE is in a great trouble internationaly. To avoid this difficult situation and bring some respect to the organization, they came forward for so called peace talks and demand for lifting the ban imposed in 1998. If Sri Lanka lifts the ban then LTTE can request other countries to do so, enabling them to collect money freely from Tamil community to wage the bloodiest terrorist campaign in Sri Lanka.
The whole world realized how destructive terrorism
could be after the September 11th attack. The paradise
island of Sri Lanka had been experiencing similar
attacks for the last 18 years resulting untold
hardship to all the ethnic groups, but the world never
paid any attention to the reality for so long enabling
LTTE terrorists to get stronger day by day. Though
late and a major damage is done, the UK government did
identify terrorist organizations which are operating
from the British soil and banned them following the US
footsteps. Obviously notorious LTTE was included in
the list of terrorist groups banned in the UK
completely destroying the claim of LTTE being a group
of freedom fighters and labeling them as terrorists
rightly so, due to the activities they have been
involved in the past. While all the peace loving Sri
Lankans would like to pay gratitude to the UK
government and its officials who took the first step
of fighting against terrorism, there are a lot more
work needs to be done. It is a very well known fact
that the LTTE operates several offices and some of
their key personalities are still based in the UK
providing them a safe heaven to plan, raise funds and
carry out more and more barbaric attacks against
humanity. The only way to stop them from doing so is
by closing all their offices and arresting the LTTE
leaders including their theoretician Dr. Anton
Balasigham and Mrs. Balasingham, who is an Austrian.
It should be noted that Mr. Balasingham holds a
British passport that is being heavily used to gather
international terrorist momentum. In addition to
arresting and charging him on terrorism counts, he
should be charged by immigration authorities for
illegally leaving the UK soil and entering other
countries. The most recent case being his entry into
the war zone in Sri Lanka and returning to the UK via
Thailand by illegal means. All the other LTTE front
organizations and their leaders also should be treated
the same way before it is too late. As shown in the
recent past, community unrest is popping up in the UK
and it will not take a very long time for the LTTE to
start a separatist movement in the UK along with
similar claim in Canada.
Once again, the leader of the LTTE terrorists Mr.
Velupillae Prabakaran is trying to side step and buy
more time until the dust settles of the US attacks by
claiming that he is "willing" to consider a settlement
short of a separate state. Even though the media has
given a vast coverage to that statement we should not
forget the fact that it is a very ambiguous statement
and he has never kept his proclaimed commitments in
the past. To start with, he purposely used the word
"willing" in his statement, which does not have any
binding. At the beginning of the Norwegian peace
efforts he committed to start peace talks without any
pre-conditions but later started putting up one
condition after the other. So the only way forward is
to shrink his international network by closing all the
front organizations and arresting leaders operating
openly. In that sense the UK government is better
equipped than any other EU members to lead from the
front. It should be noted that if Afghanistan is
guilty of harboring Mr. Osama Bin Laden and his Al
Quaida network, the UK government and other
governments in the world who keep a blind eye to the
LTTE activities in their own backyards are also guilty
of the same crime. Of course Sri Lanka is not a super
power but how can anyone justify over 62,000 deaths in
Sri Lanka in addition to infrastructure damages worth
hundreds of billions of dollars?. After all, the core
issue of discrimination is not only confined to the
Tamil community. Each and every citizen of Sri Lanka
except a select few multi millionaires are
discriminated regardless whether he or she is
Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslim or Burger. The only way out
is a complete destruction of the LTTE terrorism with
the assistance of the international community and a
free and fair political culture in which every Sri
Lankan can live in dignity.
We urge the UK government to proceed to the next step
of fighting against terrorism by arresting the leaders
and closing terrorist networks particularly the LTTE
which is the largest such group operating on the
LTTE, a ruthless Terrorist network like Al Qaida (or Al Qaeda) have staged a war in Sri Lanka. LTTE has been fighting this war for the past 25 years. LTTE have staged more suicide bombing attacks than anyone else in the world. In fact, LTTE is known around the world for forcing children to fight in this War. LTTE followers are openly operating from countries like Canada, England, Germany, and France.
LTTE is already banned in USA and England. However they have managed actively to raise funds in the western countries. LTTE says that they are in the war due to discrimination faced by minority Tamils in Sri Lanka. However, LTTE have killed many Tamils who voiced against LTTE bogus propaganda. A large number of Tamils living in Southern Sri Lanka peacefully with other communities and there are few Tamil members in the Sri Lankan parliament.
LTTE has killed Indian Prime Minister already and have shown that they are capable of carrying out operations in foreign countries too.
Please sign this petition and help send a message to the world that they are another Terrorist organization like Al Qaida and a severe threat to the Whole World.

It is our wish, as citizens of The United States of America, to ensure that the attack perpetrated on September 11th, 2001, will never be forgotten by anyone. We believe that the site in New York in which many bodies of those slain still rest, is now considered by us all as a sacred place, and that we should set up a memorial there for those who lost their lives, including the passengers on flight 93 and those who were killed at the Pentagon.
We believe that this memorial should be something seen from a distance by night or by day, something that no terrorist can destroy, so that all who see it will know that we shall overcome and that this horrible tragedy has not killed our spirits, but has made us stronger.
On September 11th, 2001, the terrorist world declared war on the United States. But the terrorist world has been at war with much of the rest of the civilized world for quite some time already. It is time for the civilized world to defend itself.
This is a petition asking the civilized world to unite to prosecute war against terrorist organizations and the states that harbor them.
After the amount of terrorism that has been going on, I ask that all signers declare that they 1) will not knowingly harbor a terrorist, 2) Report a possible terrorist threat, 3) Do whatever is neccessary to stop terrorism when they have the power to do so.
Osama bin Laden is by all reasonable standards a madman. He has been confirmed to have been involved in numerous terrorist acts, including the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, and the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole in Yemen. Yet we, as a government, have done little but whine about his continued freedom in Pakistan/Afghanistan. While he takes the lives of American servicemen, no attempt is made to force his extradiction and inprisonment.
It is my firm belief that this freedom has resulted in his latest terrorist act, the crash of 2 jetliners into the World Trade Center Buildings and 1 into the United States Department of Defense office, also known as the Pentagon, and the death of thousands of Americans.
We can no longer allow our freedom to be compromised for his. We, as Americans, need to exercise our right and demand justice be brought to those who have harmed our innocents. I ask that you sign my petition and show our government what its constituants want.
Since it came into existence, Pakistan has been trying to break India. It has fought three wars with India and more recently in 1999 tried to occupy Indian territory in Kargil. In this process Pakistan itself got disintegrated, but still it has not given up. Its latest weapon against India is it poor and unemployed youths, who are brain washed into becoming Islamic fundamentalist and sent to India to kill innocent people.
Due to this Islamic fundamentalism Pakistan has become threat to civilized societies. Pakistan supported and promoted Taliban has wrecked havoc in Afghanistan. Pakistan is trying to do the same thing in India.
Despite the 1997 election of President Khatami, widely perceived as a moderate who would ease restrictions on women, his limited political power is being overridden by more conservative authorities in the regime who continue to limit women's freedom in all areas of life - dress, marriage, education, divorce, occupation and health.
However, pressure from national and international women's groups has in the past been demonstrated to be successful in pressuring the government to reverse some restrictive policies.
Please stand for Human Rights in Iran. Don't let the extremists be accepted and legitimized as the representatives of the Iranian people. A terrorist regime must be recognized as a terrorist regime and nothing more.
