If a woman has committed a violation the point of view of her family, the family has the "right" to kill her in order to bring honor back to the family name. Not only does this happen in places such as South Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa; It happens right in the United States.
As United States citizens, it is our right to know what is happening in our own country. This issue, however, is never spoken about. In 2008, 930 women and girls in the United States alone were killed by a family member in the name of honor. Did you know that?
Although there wern't many deaths during the 9-11 attack can you really put a number on it? Injuries were created and the smoke inhaled caused many breathing problems. I know from personal experience because a close family friend had these problems.
Lives were still lost no matter how many. I believe the September 11th attack should be marked as a holiday. There isn't really a strong reason to get it off paid for workers or to get it off of school but atleast mark it as a honor type holiday. Hey, if some shadow spotting groundhog marks his space on our calender should'nt September 11th?
3. Legalization of industrial hemp and medicinal marijuana / Honoring of God in public places 
I am a target suspect for glaucoma, yet if I were drug tested for it, I would rate a positive THC and be fired.
In the workplace I am not allowed to honor or speak of God as I want while profanity and sexual flirtation occurs in public places.
4. Honor Brigadier General Strong Vincent
On July 2, 1863, Colonel Strong Vincent, Commander of the Third Brigade, First Division, Fifth Corps, of the United States' Army of the Potomac, moved his men, without orders, to the top of Little Round Top, at the summons of Major General Gouvernor K. Warren, and was mortally wounded while rallying his wavering men atop the hill known as Little Round Top near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
Vincent, even from his wounded position, lying on the ground behind the line of the 83rd Pennsylvania, called on his men to hold firm. The line held, and the actions of the Brigade possibly saved the Union Army from a complete military disaster. Vincent's subordinate, Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, received all the glory for the victory, including the Congressional Medal of Honor. Vincent was read his promotion to Brigadier General on his deathbed, and, most likely, did not even hear it.
5. There is No Honor in Killing - Stop the Honor Killings
Honor killings are an embarrassment to humanity.
Fellow human beings are being assassinated in the most inhumane methods. Daughters and wives are being brutally tortured, stoned, and murdered by their own families, all in the name of "honor." This widespread epidemic of such atrocious acts fueled by fundamentalist thinking—dating back to pagan times—is inexcusable. Honor killings are often supported, overlooked, and undermined by authorities and persons of influence.
These murders are committed not just in Muslim countries but around the world, with alarmingly increasing rates on such continents as Europe and North America, which contain some of the most advanced countries of the 21st Century. It is a shame to all humanity that women (and some men) are subject to such barbaric crimes—threatened, tortured in agony, dying the most gruesome deaths.

- 93% of honor killings worldwide are committed against women
- 91% of honor killings are committed by Muslims
- 81% of honor killings committed in Western civilizations are for being “too Western”
- 81% of female victims of honor killing 25 years or younger are murdered by their family of origin
- 68% of women who are victims of honor killing are gruesomely tortured
- Approximately 50% of honor killings are committed by multiple perpetrators

6. Re-naming of Perry High's Baseball Field
The Perry Bullpen is seeking support in attempting to re-name our High School Baseball Field in the name of Head Coach Frank Gamble. Coach Gamble has coached in Ohio for 37 years and 20 years at Perry. He is in the Top 10 in the state in total wins as a coach (537), belongs to 4 Ohio High School baseball Halls of Fame, has a .614 winning percentage while at Perry, has the Top 12 most winning seasons in Perry History and 15 of the top 20 seasons.
Additionally Coach Gamble has led the charge in raising of $500,000 in financial support for our baseball program. This includes (New lights, New dugouts, Fencing, Batting Cages, Score Board, Grass Seed, Replacement dirt, Brick Dust, New Concession Stand and much more) We would like to petition the Perry School Board for approval in renaming our field in Coach Gambles honor.
My name is Latonya Brown and I would like to introduce a resolution to the House of Representatives. Yesterday, we saw how the world came together in recognition of a legend. Michael Jackson has done so much for the world so much that Congressman Lee announced there's a resolution 600 that would name Michael Jackson A Humanitarian, LEGEND, and WORLD Icon.
Michael Jackson deserves a day of recognition for all of his humanitarian acts. I am no writer but I am a concerned fan and citizen. For years, people have misunderstood all that Michael Jackson was and is to so many. I think it's high time that he finally gets the respect that he truly deserves.
8. Change Arlington Cemetery Burial Honors (Enlisted vs. Officer)

The difference between a Full and Standard Honor Funeral is dramatic, however, unless you have worked at Arlington, you would never know the difference. In fact, the only way an Enlisted Service Member can receive a Full Honor Funeral is to be a Medal of Honor Recipient, which are usually awarded well after burial, meaning a Enlisted Medal of Honor Recipient wouldn’t receive Full Honors at time of burial.
Basically, a Full Honors at Arlington consists of a Horse Drawn Caisson transfer from Chapel to gravesite, 8 pallbearers, Army Band, 1-2 escort marching Platoons, Cannon Salutes for General Officers, “Cap Rider-less Horse(0-6 and above), firing party, bugler and a Chaplin. A Standard Honors Funeral consists of a hearse transfer, 6 pallbearers, firing party, bugler, and a Chaplin. Another misconception is that E-9’s receive Full Honors as stated in Army Regulation 600-25, however, they don’t, in addition to the Standard Honors rendered above, they get the Caisson, 1 escort marching platoon, and a drummer, which contradicts what Army Regulation 600-25 states they will receive the band.
I might add, the above Special Officer Honors rendered at Arlington, are not offered at any other National Cemetery in the United States. I feel Arlington Honors should mirror the rest of the National Cemeteries.
For the last year, I have addressed this with the President, multiple Congressman and Senators, multiple Veteran Organizations of which I am a member of, and Army Offices in Washington D.C., but have received little to no response back. The ANC Superintendent sent me a response stating that he agreed with my position, however, he believed changes would be difficult to implement. I have talked to numerous Senior Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers as well who support this and are addressing this in their own direction.
The bottom line is this, a 2nd Lieutenant can die in a car accident 2 days after graduating Officer Candidate School and get a Full Honor Funeral, while a Master Sergeant in the Army, Air Force, Marine Corp, or Navy with 22 years of Service can die in Combat in Afghanistan or Iraq, receive a Silver Star for Valor, and receive a Standard Honor Funeral. This is flat out disgraceful. In a place our Nation considers to be the most hallowed ground in America, a place that demands our respect, I think this issue deserves to be looked at. Honors rendered should be equal, based off actions, not just rank. A panel should decide official criteria for Honors rendered based off individual careers, and circumstances of death, not just by rank. I think the Funerals should be like the Tomb Stones in Arlington, all the same. At a minimum, all Active Duty Soldiers’ killed in Combat should receive a Full Honor Funeral.
Official criteria needs to be re-looked at is the bottom line, this disgraceful discrepancy has been passed over as “customs and courtesies” too long.

9. Let the Monroe Boys Play Football
The Cougar Board is not allowing Tanner or Jared Monroe to play Cougar football in the upcoming 2008 season. The board is refusing to abide by a signed letter from the Monroe Parents.
The parents have agreed to the boards terms, they will not coach or be team mom, they will not send mass emails if boys are allowed to play, and they have already sent out a mass apology as requested by the board. However, the board refused to honor the letter.
The Cougar organization is a public youth sport program and needs to honor the right of kids to play football. Censor the parents not the kids!!!
Please help get the boys back in the Cougar program. Please stand together in unity and let the board know we will not accept children being kicked out of our program.

Each tenants rights have been violated by the Highland Park Housing Commission. Due to the fact that the Comission itself made a decision without tenants approval.
Thereforth it is our rights to block the decision of the Commission on the grounds that (We the Tenants) do not feel that the election Director is qualified to serve in the directors position.

My name is Chasidy Walker and I attend Pebblebrook Highschool of Mableton, Georgia and as of today January 11, 2006 I was notified by my school teachers that there will no longer be extra credits given to the students who attend honor classes.
We work hard, we strive to bring home the best grades to show our parents our ability, not just our parents but ourselves! One of the people or groups of people we reflect with our outstanding progress is our own school... the very school who comes to take away the privilege we recieve along with grades; when one attends a honor class and makes a passing grade we recieve points, extra points that goes toward our GPA.
I belive this was an unfair act, no reward for working hard, but yet and still those students on level and below are now going to recieve the same credits we recieve?
Why take something away from us that we worked hard to earn?

20. Honor a plea bargain made in good faith
My son was given a plea bargain in exchange for a guilty plea. The state offerred the agreement in good faith and my son was told that the judge would honor this . He would never have pleaded guilty except for this promise. Part of the plea bargain was for him to be released from prison on a "judicial release" after 9 months incarcerated. The state had a hearing after 11 months and decided not to honor the plea agreement stating that he has not served enough time for the charges.

The charge is amost serious one because it appears in HONOR BOUND:American POW in Southeast Asia-1961-1973, a book released by the Naval Institute Press in Annapolis, Maryland. According to the chapter, "The Zoo,1967-1969: The Cuban Program & Atrocities, "Americans were tortured by Castro's thugs, sometimes to death. Senator John McCain, in his book, Faith of my Fathers, confirms this atrocities.
Castro's torturing of Americans was not an accident. To this day, Nazi war crimes are investigated by the US Dept of Justice. Wy no this one?
