Background (Preamble):
Former Chiefs star Joe Delaney gave his own life while trying to rescue drowning children, while he himself could not swim. Due to his giving the ultimate sacrifice to save children he had never met, we believe it is the least the Chiefs could do to add him to their ring of fame.
Petition:
We fans of the Kansas City Chiefs and other NFL teams believe it would be very much appropriate for the Kansas City Chiefs to add Joe Delaney to the Ring of Honor at Arrowhead Stadium. Mr. Delaney selfishlessly gave his own life trying to rescue children he had never met. We believe the Chiefs should pay tribute to his heroism by proudly bestowing this honor up him.
