For years now ancient skeletal remains and artifacts including stone walls, stone dwellings, stone fireplaces, altars and petroglyhs carved in stone have been discovered all over New Zealand.
These remains are anscestors of this country, but instead of studying and/or preserving these priceless discoveries they have been left unprotected and under constant threat from development.
In 2005 in the Kaipara District a pig hunter found human bones. A curator of the Dargaville Maritime Museum and a team of researchers investigated the findings. They found 3 types of skeletons, some were 7-8 feet tall, some were of a small pygmy size, the others were normal.
A specialist who examined the the remains likened the small ones to a race of people living in Wales 3000 years ago. This discovery was not made public. The size and shape of the skulls found were clearly not polynesian.
An archaeologist found carbon datings around one of the one of the stone cairns near the Waipoua forest 2.3 metres down that proved there were people living in New Zealand 5000 years ago. Stone dwellings, walls and other ancient stone artifacts were also found in the Waipoua forest.
* The remains of twelve skeletons were unearthed by contractors doing earthwork on a farm in Taranaki. They were in a formal European burial ground which was similar to the bog burials of Britain. The burial ground was not known, even to the local iwi. The skeletons were well preserved in woven material but no photography or forensic testing was permitted.
* Just over a deade ago in Waikaretu, skeletons were once again discovered by earthworks contractors. They were found in a cave in stone crypts. Anthropologists were called in but the site was shut down and a 75 year moratorium was placed upon it. Stone housing found near the Waikaretu stream was crushed to use for road metal.
These are just few of the hundreds if not thousands of discoveries that have been made over the whole of New Zealand (including remains found on my family farm in Raglan) and not just recently but over many decades.
These ancient people need our voice, our strength and our unity to protect and preserve their very existence!!!

10. Maltreatment of Africans by European Airlines Must Stop!
The long history of exploitation and maltreatment of African people by European airlines can no longer be ignored. In fact, they must stop.
The petition below is a rallying call for an end to such exploitation and maltreatment which are obvious to any one who travels to and from Africa with any one of these European airlines.
Specifically, this is our position: Since African people are a part of the human race, European Airlines should treat them with respect and dignity, just like they treat any other group of human beings who are not Africans. As such, the apparent maltreatment of Africans by the European airlines will no longer be ignored.
We must stop this maltreatment NOW.

Re: The European Union ban of the LTTE will not yield peace in this troubled nation.
The International Community(IC) and European Union (EU) had failed to put adequate pressure in action on the Sri Lankan leaders to address the legitimate Tamils grievances which was widely accepted by the IC for well over fifty years.
Especially within the last four years of peace process, the Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL) had the best opportunity to put forward an alternate solution through negotiation with Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). There were number of agreements reached between the negotiating parties.
Instead of implementing those agreements to move forward the peace process towards the permanent peace the State cunningly used the peace time to divide the Tamils and the LTTE and unleashed the worst form of terror against them covertly and overtly.
If EU is to take serious note, any decision arrived in these last four years of peace talks never implemented by the GOSL on the ground. The latest and most deplorable act of the GOSL was failure of the non implementation of IC and EU pushed the Post-Tsunami Operational Management Structure (PTOMS) agreement which was signed between LTTE and GOSL.
The PTOMS agreement merely an aid distribution mechanism to the Tsunami affected Tamil victims. This agreement was also tossed by the state into dust bin but IC or EU was not able to force or penalize the Sri Lankan state for the non implementation of that agreement.
These are the real reasons for the current impasses for the peace process and the upsurge of violence in Sri Lanka. This violence was systematically unleashed by the Sri Lankan state to distract and divert the attentions of the IC and EU.
The Tamils were continuously denied their legitimate rights after the British rule and all form of democratic expressions of the non violent Tamils were dealt with brutal heavy handedly by the Sri Lankan rulers and its forces.
The genocide against the Tamils were systematically unleashed in 1958, 1961, 1974 and 1977 where thousands of thousands Tamil men, women and children were massacred in cold blood and perished in the hands of the terror state of Sri Lanka. Millions of Tamils were forced to displace from their homes and their hard earned properties were destroyed to call the Tamils into submission.
The LTTE was not existed in the time of the above genocides against the Tamils. The sustained state terrorism against their own Tamil citizens only forced the Tamils to defend themselves; the LTTE came into existence to defend the grand agenda of Total annihilation of Tamils from Sri Lanka by the state rulers.
We Tamils are oppressed for well over fifty years by the successive Sri Lankan governments. We should not be victimized and vilified by the International Community when we turn to LTTE to protect us from horrific sustained state terror against us for so long. Tamils used the arms struggle as a last resort to protect themselves from the complete annihilation by the Sri Lankan Sinhalese rulers and its armed forces.
It is the global and moral duty of the International Community including EU to do everything possible to see the true plight of Tamils and help them from total annihilation by the Singhalese rulers in Sri Lanka and
help them to achieve just and fair solution to their longstanding
legitimate struggle.
I urge the Your Excellency, not to yield to the pressure by the Sinhalese leaders to ban the Tigers in EU countries. The EU ban will further strengthen the Sinhalese hardliners' and hawkish rulers' grand agenda of committing genocide against the Tamils by isolating the Tamils and LTTE from the International Community.

12. Do not BAN Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam in EU

Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam have been fighting for Tamils, for Freedom, for a HOMELAND (Tamil Eelam) for very long time. Now, they are close to achiveing their goal.
We, Tamils from around the world, must show our support to the heroes that are sacrificing their lives for our good.
13. Human Rights for Guantanamo Detainees
At least 210 detainees have been on hunger strike since 11 August in protest at their conditions. An earlier hunger strike was stopped when the US authorities promised some changes. They reneged on these promises and the detainees have resumed their protest.
Anyone familiar with the Irish hunger strikes of the 1980s will realise that these detainees are at a critical stage - it's a matter of life and death. Please contact your civil representatives in European, national, regional and local bodies and urge them to press the American authorities, as a matter of urgency, to release those held without detention and allow families, medical practitioners and democratic representatives access to these detainees.
Detainees have now been held at Guantanamo for over three years without proper access to a due process of law. Their families are refused access and they are not even allowed proper access to their legal representatives and where that access is allowed unreasonable restrictions are placed on the lawyers concerned.
This situation needs to be resolved and proper rule of law established in places that are used as prisons by the American administraion and its allies.
14. Call for the Denouncement of the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact

These days, when many are celebrating the 60 years passed since the victory over fascist Germany, the inhabitants of Eastern Europe cannot help but remember the year just before the starting of WWII. At that time, as a consequence of Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact, signed by the fascist Germany and Stalinist USSR, entire countries or territories belonging to East European countries have been occupied by force by the Soviet Red Army, and incorporated in USSR. Thus, the Baltic Countries and Eastern Polish Provinces, but also Bessarabia, Bukovina and Hertza Region, all former Romanian provinces which have been included in USSR, have disappeared . The Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact, based on its provisions, also facilitated the starting of the German's aggression against Europe. The pact offered free hand to Germany to attack Western Europe, and a free hand to Stalin in Eastern Europe.
The Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact has violated all international laws as well as the sovereignty of all European Countries. In spite of this, the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact has not yet been denounced nor annulled by Germany and Russia . Therefore, the celebration of these days means a victory over fascism and recognition of those who suffered but cannot be considered complete until the denouncement and annulment of the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact.
That is why we, members of the Romanian World Council, Inc., are asking for a united effort to resolve the injustice created by this Pact that caused countless loss of lives, tremendous sufferings and destructions.
Romania, like all other countries of Europe, wants to live in peace with her neighbors, developing a spirit of friendship, cooperation, and good will.
We are asking the leaders of Germany, Russia and Ukraine to denounce and recognize the annulment of the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact as a small compensation for the injustice that Romania has had to live for 66 years.
We ask all Europeans to join us in our efforts to eliminate one of the last tragic and painful events in the history of Europe.

15. No to EU's Arms Sales to China
October 2, 2004
After the Tiananmen Square Massacre in 1989 the European Union Parliament adopted a resolution banning weapons sales to China. Now France and Germany suggest lifting the ban.
We strongly oppose this as human rights in China continue to deteriorate and China already has over 500 ballistic missiles aimed at Taiwan. Furthermore, lifting the ban would directly endanger Taiwan, lead to a regional arms race and destabilize global peace and stability.

While all members of the European Union have a common code of ethics and culture based on Christian roots and tradition, Turkey simply does not match.
Turkish people in the EU do not attempt to integrate themselves. Instead, they demand host countries to adapt to THEIR culture and while doing so, build one Mosque after the other.
No more crosses in classrooms? Turkish as subject in schools? Islam as subject in schools? HOW DEEP DO WE HAVE TO GET ?!
Once Turkey is member of the European Union, its citizens can travel, settle and work freely among Europe.

19. Discontinue unlawful customs and excise restrictions on EU travellers
The stopping of people bringing goods such as tobacco and alcohol into UK from another member state of the European Union is contrary to European law but the government are refusing to comply. As a result thousands of people are having goods and vehicles unlawfully ceased at ports and airports throughout UK every year, and if any of them try to appeal against the decision customs and excise, as an act of revenge are prosecuting them even though they have broken no laws. The result of this is that many people end up paying heavy fines or even end up in prison.
20. Abolition of the TV licence in Britain
A report calling for the abolition of the TV licence was sent to the Commission, the BBC and HM government in February 2002 but nothing has yet been done.
The white supremacist intellectual John Campbell, in his 1851 refutation, Negro-Mania: Being An Examination of the Falsely Assumed Equality of the Various Races of Man, rather hysterically agreed. "I take it for granted that no dark race of man has ever been equal to the white race." Indeed, insisted Campbell, "never at any given time from the most infinitely remote antiquity until now, has there ever appeared a race of negroes, that is men with woolly heads, flat noses, thick and protruding lips, who has ever emerged from a state of savageism or barbarism, to even demi civilization."
Real scholarship could not uphold that fiction and a few courageous European scholars broke ranks with the conspiracy of fabrication and acknowledged the historical realities. Constantin de Volney, a French scholar who visited Egypt between 1783-1785, remarked that the "ancient Egyptians were true Negroes of the same type as all native-born Africans. ... Just think that this race of black men, today our slave and the object of our scorn, is the very same race to which we owe our arts, sciences and even the use of speech!"

27. FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS CONCERNING THE USE OF OPERATING SYSTEMS IN EUROPE
We, citizens of Europe, ask our representatives in the European Parliament to vote in favour of a European law which will protect European consumers.
This law forces computer manufacturers to supply the operating system on a media (CD-ROM or DVD-ROM) separate from the computer's hardware. Furthermore, this law adds minimal rights concerning the use of operating systems: the operating system must be used on a single computer, but this computer may change over time; the operating system may be installed and used on a laptop computer if the user already owns a licence for a desktop computer. This law must guarantee that the individual has the right to choose, freely, his or her operating system and the computer in which that operating system will be used.
This measure must allow the consumers to reinstall the operating system under the following conditions:
- my hard drive has been destroyed and I have to buy a new one;
- I'm buying a new computer and I certify that my old computer is disabled and that it has not been sold or given to a third party.
We recognise that software publishers have the right to protect themselves against software piracy, but not at the expense of the citizens. They must find a way to counter software piracy which does not have a negative impact on the citizens.
Let's collect 100,000 signatures in United Kingdom, in Ireland, and more than ONE million in Europe.

28. Manifesto against Bullfighting
The Anti Bullfighting Committee Netherlands campaigns against the cruel tradition of bullfighting. Main tasks of the Committee are informing tourists not to visit bullfights, publishing a newsletter and organizing protest actions. The Committee cooperates with anti bullfighting organisations in Spain, France and Portugal and lobbies on the European Union.
Founded in 1991, the Committee has 18.000 supporters, 4 professionals who work at the central office in Utrecht and 150 volunteers throughout the country.
By giving us your signature, you are supporting the current campaign in which we demand the European Union to discontinue the subventions for breeding bulls.
