1. HCPT - Believe in Miracles!
HCPT (The Pilgrimage Trust) is dedicated to taking thousands of children with disabilities or special emotional needs on an Easter pilgrimage to Lourdes in France. The children travel in small family-style groups with experienced volunteer helpers, doctors, nurses and chaplains. These are not trips to the usual hospitals and hospices!
The children stay in hotels as honoured guests and get as much out of their holiday as other children - trips to cafes, a donkey ride in the mountains and the warmth and fun of a holiday with caring friends. This means many volunteers are needed to accompany the children, all paying their own expenses. Then £600+ must be raised for each child.
There are huge benefits from these trips for the children, even if you don’t believe in miracles! Children come from all walks of life and may belong to any religious background, or none at all. There is no aim to ‘convert’ the children!
They find new HOPE!
2. Promote Social Cohesion in Schools
Social Cohesion helps bring people from different walks of like together.
Without it, there is anarchy and unrest and over the last 10 years there have been many violent rioting eg. Bradford Riots.
By showing there is Cohesion in school, we can tackle it in society.
3. America for Americans in Maryland
As Americans we are tired of giving illegal immigrants our jobs, our education, our healthcare and degrading citizenship in our country.
4. Review New Immigration Rules
On 18 March the Immigration Minister Phil Woolas announced parallel changes to the Immigration Rules (for settlement applicants). As of the 7th of April any training / education organisations that were teaching ESOL with Citizenship has to be registered with one of the Home Office regulated bodies.
Accreditation UK
British Accredited Council
Accreditation Body for Language Services
Accreditation Services for International Colleges
The reason behind this measure is the Home Office are aware that there are a lot of centres who cheat the system and do not actually ensure students meet the home office criteria for ESOL Skills for Life.
Due to this the Home Office have taken a drastic action and changed the law. Now a training centre who is registered with one of their recommended accredited boards can only deliver this course. The four mentioned are very expensive and time consuming. For small businesses it's impossible to pay £4000 plus wait 3-6 months to be approved.
English Speaking Board International should be allowed to be part of the recognised board. As all their centres have their students externally assessed to ensure they meet the requirement by the Home Office for ESOL 'Skills for Life'.
The "Honourable" Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration removed all references to Same-sex marriage, and gay equality, from the new guide for New Canadians. This was done against the repeated explicit advice of his officials.
The bigotry has been exposed by dozens of newspapers and news programs in Canada -- here are two of them:

6. Grant citizenship to persons born in the UK after 1983!
All individuals born in the UK before 1983 (when the law took effect) acquired citizenship automatically, they now had to be born of someone `settled' (i.e. permanently resident) in the country. The only individuals consequently excluded from citizenship were illegal migrants, temporary visitors to the UK and individuals who had not fulfilled the four-year requirement for settled status.
In addition, anyone born and resident in the UK until the age of ten has a right to citizenship. It's been a standing law in the UK imposed by Margaret Thatcher that anyone born in the UK after 1983 shall not be awarded automatic citizenship. I believe this law should be reviewed and changed. I personally am affected by this law. This law is practiced only by the UK in the entire world. How come? Even the United states grants citizenship to all who were born in the US.
I speak for youths all over the world who are asking the same question of the British government as to WHY they have upheld this law. I believe this law needs to be revoked. This would truly show concern on behalf of the British government for the rights of young ones all over the world who were born in the UK and have not yet been granted citizenship.
The intercountry adoption process is a long, tedious process for American citizens seeking to adopt a foreign born child. Paperwork includes home studies, finger printing and criminal checks. The process can take up to three years to complete. At the completion of the adoption, the child must be approved for a U.S. immigrant visa in order to enter the U.S. and gain citizenship. The immigrant visa is required despite the fact that the “immigrant” is the child of a U.S. citizen. The U.S. is one of the few developed countries in the world that requires internationally adopted children of citizens to immigrate in order to join their new families.
Most countries recognize internationally adopted children as citizens upon the finalization of their adoption. The Foreign Adopted Children Equality Act (FACE Act) would recognize that internationally adopted children deserve to be treated as children of American citizens and accorded the same citizenship process as children born abroad to American citizens.
Under the FACE Act, Adoptive parents would apply for a U.S. passport and Consular Report of Birth instead of a visa. These documents provide adoptive parents with immediate proof of citizenship for their adopted child and provide immediate proof of U.S. citizenship.
8. Say NO to citizenship and visa fee increases!
US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) are increasing visa fees 66% on average. The cost will go to upgrading computers, hiring more Immigration Officers, and improving the overall application process.
However, the cost for these improvements should not be solely on the applicants and petitioners. The U.S. Federal Government need to take responsibility in supporting the incurred cost of improvements and upgrades to the USCIS bureau.
Some of the application fee increases include (but not limited to):
Application for U.S. citizenship from $330 to $675.
Application for Fiance(e) visa from $170 to $455.
Application for Relative visa from $190 to $355.
Adjustment of Status fee will increase from $325 to $1010
As you can see, the fees were already high to began with, but now they're are ridiculously steep. The new fees will be an enormous financial hurdle for countless immigrants and foreigners. It will be a terrible burden for families who are trying to reunite with one another, or people trying to bring their foreign spouse over.
9. Keep Lynda and Salim Together
How many people abscond in the UK every year - can the Government give a figure?
How many married couples is the Government proposing to remove from the UK?
Over 15 thousand non-EU families were given compassionate leave to remain in the UK in 2003. Why can't the same compassion be shown to British Citizens married to non-EU nationals?

Dear Mr McNulty
Re: Mahmad Salim Yadun - Home Office Ref: Y70236, CTS ref: M22375/5
We ask that you allow Mahmad Salim Yadun, a Mauritian man, to stay in the UK with his wife, Lynda, who is a British Citizen. They met in 2001 when he moved from London to Aberdeen to work. Salim has been in the UK for nearly 14 years, however the Home Office wants to remove Salim to Mauritius and have him re-apply for entry clearance to the UK from there. Here is a brief timeline of events:
Sept 1992: Salim arrives in London from Mauritius.
June 1997: Asylum is denied. Solicitor advises Salim to wait for "due process" to take effect.
1997 onwards: Solicitor continues to write to Home Office - NO REPLY.
July 2001: Salim moves to Aberdeen to work.
Aug 2001: Lynda & Salim start dating.
20 May 2002: Lynda and Salim marry.
June 2002: Application lodged for Salim to stay through marriage to Lynda.
23 Mar 2003: Both Salim and Lynda interviewed by Immigration Office at Aberdeen Airport. Salim advised that he is to be deported and that Lynda "could reasonably be expected to live in Mauritius". Lynda has worked for a major oil company for over 20 yrs and would not be able to obtain same type of job in Mauritius. Salim's Passport is retained by Immigration at Aberdeen Airport. From that day, Salim has to sign in at Police Station every Monday.
During the 13 years he has lived in the UK, Salim has been allowed to work and has paid his taxes. He has been self-sufficient and of no burden, whatsoever, to the State. He has no criminal record and is not involved with any political or other organisation that is against the public interest. He has done voluntary work for charity (Transportforall.com) and has promoted interest in dancing, as he and Lynda taught a modern jive dance class together for several months. There is a shortage of Salim's job skills in the UK oil industry.
To remove Salim from the UK and have him re-apply for entry clearance from Mauritius, would cost the UK Tax Payers thousands of pounds. And what about Lynda? Surely, she has a right to have her husband here with her in the UK? They have been married for over 3½ years now. The stress that Salim and Lynda have been under is unimaginable. Salim has been displaced from Mauritius for so long - the UK is now his home.
10. Rescind deportation order against Rabia Benhmida
Please show your support for our friend, Rabia Benhmida, and sign this online petition demanding that the motion for her deportation be rescinded and that she be allowed to be in the U.S., be given permanent resident status, green cards and the right to apply for US citizenship.
Then we ask you to pass this petition on to your family and friends.
11. Revoke Alanis Morissette's U.S. Citizenship
Revoke Alanis Morissette's NEW U.S. Citizenship.
12. Withdraw Canadian Citizenship from Canadians who endorse terror
March 24, 2004
This petition is in response to a growing concern that the Canadian government is merely paying lip service to the problem of terrorists and terrorist support/logistics in Canada.
In 1995 the then Prime Minister Jean Chretien personally intervened on behalf of a Canadian citizen, Ahmed Said Khadr who was being held in a Pakistani jail on charges relating to the bombing of the Egyptian Embassy in Islamabad. He had moved his family to Afghanistan and befriended Osama Bin Laden yet denied links to terror.
While living with Bin Laden in Afghanistan, they raised money in Canada amongst Muslims who were told they were aiding Afghan orphans. They had their sons trained in Al Qaeda camps to handle guns and explosives. They encouraged them to become martyrs for Islam, even suicide bombers. They nursed their hatred for Americans.
In 2001, in a grotesque family get together, they celebrated with "smiling, laughing" when Al Qaeda-comandeered jets slammed into the World Trade Center and other sites killing 3000 including 23 Canadians. Yet even today years after leaving Canada and five months after Ahmad was killed in a battle with Pakistani troops after being identified as an Al Qaeda founder and financier, his wife Maha finds her Canadian citizenship handy.
Incredibly, from Pakistan she is pressing Ottawa to issue her and her children new passports so they can roam the world armed with their extremist views. One son, Abdul Karim was paralyzed in the battle in Pakistan that killed his father; another, Abdullah, is in hiding in Pakistan; and a third, Omar is in the American detention centre in Cuba as an "enemy combatant" for killing a U.S. Army medic with a grenade. A Daughter, Zaynab, is with the mother.
"We are an Al Qaeda family", a fourth son, Abdurahman, flatly told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.
He admitted to the Toronto Star he had been "lying to everyone up until this point" about his role in the saga. Upon his release from detention in Cuba, Abdurahman was flown to europe and released. He made his way to Pakistan where he contacted his Canadian relatives. They made an appeal to the Canadian government and once again a Canadian Prime Minister (this time Paul Martin) intervened and made a public statement that if Abdurahman made his way to a Canadian consulate, he would be "welcome" to return to Canada.
These repeated interventions by the Canadian government to help known terrorists holding Canadian citizenship is damaging the credibility of Canada as a nation that can be counted on in the war on terror. In addition these actions are needlessly advertising Canada has a gullible weak link to be exploited by terrorist groups wishing to operate unhindered here.
Thirdly it increases the risk to public safety and implants doubt in the minds of Canadians that the Canadian government is taking a proactive approach to preventing future terrorist attacks on Canadian soil.
13. Immigration Reform in the USA
We the undersigned are United States citizens and are registered voters, and hereby request that Congress pass these laws effective immediately regarding immigration reforms. These reforms are to promote loyalty and to ensure vested interest in the well being of our individuals and society as a whole.
14. Vote against expansion of UE
This petition is to the People of Ireland to block formally the expansion of European Union in fall referendum by voting against the Nice treaty.
15. Promote Human Rights of Expatriates in Oman
The Omani government does not recognize the human rights of the foreign aliens in this country.
Children of Omani fathers automatically acquire Omani citizenship at birth and must enter and leave the country on Omani passports. Omani authorities usually confiscate the U.S. passports of U.S./Omani dual nationals. This does not constitute loss of citizenship by U.S. standards, but should be reported to the U.S. Embassy in Muscat. Child custody decisions are based on Islamic law. It is difficult for an American woman, even a Muslim, to obtain custody of her children through the Omani courts.
The Sultan and the Govt. of Oman should take this issue seriously as more and more omanis get educated - the donkey's days law will have to go away.
The People who are born and lived in Oman for over 100 years have not been given their citizenship or naturelization due to the law of the country.
16. Expel Greece from European Union
This petition is to expel Greece from the European Union. Greece is violating European Citizenship Convention forcing its citizens abroad to military service and denying Greek citizens right to Greek passport when applying for foreign citizenship.
This is unacceptable a day before expansion of the European Union and could create the precedence for similar situation in Poland and other new members of European Union.
The Greek citizens in the USA, mainly army enlists, are suspected to force citizens of Eastern European countries to military service in their country and block legal immigration.
17. Ban Polish citizenship to enter USA
This petition is ban Polish citizens from entering the United States on grounds other than the political asylum.
Republic of Poland is in strong violation of the basic right of emigration.
18. Delay expansion of Europeanian Union
This petition is to delay Poland's membership in the European Union.
Poland is currently to join the European Union in the year 2004.
19. Stop forcing foreign citizens to Polish citizenship
This petition is to abandon Soviet citizenship law forcing foreign citizens
with Polish origin to Polish citizenship. The original law is based on the rule of Stalin forcing foreigners to the citizeship for the purpose of military service.
