2. No to Adult User Fees Proposed For Jimmie Simpson
The 2011 City budget proposes to add adult user fees at Jimmie Simpson. This means that unless you qualify for the city’s “Welcome Policy” that Adult Programs at Jimmie Simpson will cost between $48 and $75 for a 9 week session.
If we don't do anything about it now, the City can continue doing this for all the other free community centers that some of us need.
3. Stop Derbyshire County Council's Attacks On Social Care
Derbyshire County Council (DCC) has announced plans to drastically change social care provision for vulnerable residents, particularly elderly and disabled people.
The planned changes include closing two thirds of all care homes in the county, making all service users pay up to £200 a week for care which has always been free at the point of delivery, changing the criteria for qualifying for care so that only those subjectively judged to have substantial or critical needs may access services, making those with stairlifts pay a further £122 a year for a 'warranty' and to remove the automatic top-up grants necessary to enable anyone who needs major home alterations to access district council funds.
DCC announced these changes before Central Government's Comprehensive Spending Review and despite the Council's wealth, as it has in excess of £85 Million in resources. Taking these two facts together, it seems clear that DCC's attack on these vital services is motivated more by elitist ideology and a desire for privitisation by the back door than it could be by necessity. DCC claims that "no decisions have been made yet", but their 'consultation' appears not to have been very widely advertised and ends at 5 p.m. on 5th November 2010, comments can be made via the online form at http://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/carechanges
4. Support a Population Driven Stimulus Package
As you know America is in a huge recession; why don't we allow the American people the opportunity to stimulate the economy?
China's economy is rising exponentially. Why? The people of China are working together to boost their own economy.
We as Americans have become lazy. We look to the government to continuously bail us out; all the while putting us further and further into dept. The more money the government throws into stimulus packages that don't work, the more our national debt goes up.
Americans constantly complain that the President isn't doing enough, or isn't putting money into the right areas. Instead of complaining we should take the initiative and ask to have the right to contribute and decide where the money goes. The solution is very elementary.
Take a look at the size of the adult population in America; if each adult citizen pays just $10.00 a month to a stimulus fund that would equate to approximately $3 billion dollars a month. That money raised could bail this country out quickly without adding to our national deficit.
My suggestion is allocate the funds each month to two areas. The first being the SBA and the second being infrastructure. We've spent enough money on the stock markets, banks and the automobile industry. Small businesses are the meat and potatoes of America. Why are we padding the pockets of the already wealthy CEO's of these big corporations?
This stimulus fund will boost small businesses to grow and expand therefore, creating more jobs. Equally it will create jobs by enabling constant growth in our infrastructure.
So, why don’t we as Americans quit complaining and ask that we contribute into digging ourselves out of this hole.
5. Continue Ban On Stem Cell Research
This petition is against President Barrack H. Obama's promise to lift the ban on Embryonic Stem Cell Research (hESCR.) Note: hESCR is NOT illegal. But it does, however, have restrictions that prevent clinics to use and destroy large amounts of embryos for the benefit of medical science.
But now, Obama wants to lift these restrictions so that we can find new cures for diseases. However, while it may seem as a great success, it's killing thousands of embryos within the first couple of days of conception.
6. Keep Adult Education in the Department of Education!
The Pennsylvania Economy League (PEL) has recommended transferring governance and oversight of WIA Title II Adult Education and Family Literacy and Act 143 funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Bureau of Adult Basic and Literacy Education, to the Department of Labor and Industry, Bureau of Workforce Development Partnerships.
The Pennsylvania Association for Adult Continuing Education (PAACE) has responded to Governor Rendell. See that document at www.paacesite.org.
You have the opportunity to preserve adult choice, defend small business owners and protect the jobs of hospitality employees by SUPPORTING AN EXEMPTION FOR LIQUOR LICENSED ESTABLISHMENTS FROM ANY STATEWIDE SMOKING BAN.
Businesses that serve beverage alcohol for consumption on- premise and their employees will suffer severe economic consequences from total statewide smoking ban. Consumer choice will be eliminated.
PLEASE don't disregard the interest and concerns of those who livelihoods and adult preferences will be most negatively impacted by legislature's action.
Please let the citizens and business owners of Michigan have a choice!
8. Minimum Age of Consent for Sex with Adults
On May 4th Canada's House of Commons passed Bill C-22 which raises the age at which a boy or girl can consent to sex with an adult from 14 to 16 years. This important bill has been languishing in the Senate ever since instead of receiving the fast-track passage it deserves.
Now, Senators have decided to commence a three month holiday without passing the bill, thereby giving sexual predators another three months during which they will be able to exploit vulnerable boys and girls legally.
9. Petition for the Dismissal of Charges against Derrick Palmer
On August 21, 2006, Derrick Palmer was forced to fire a weapon at his mother's boyfriend to save her, her unborn child, and baby brother's life.
He has been charged as an adult with murder.
Our local newly renovated Sunland City Park has been destroyed by adult soccer players, most of who live and work out of the area of Sunland-Tujunga, California.
Each Sunday the park is unusable by local families because adult soccer games are taking place and there is no room for a family to play on the grassy lawns. Additionally, the lawns which were newly planted in 2005 have been destroyed and show expansive bare patches.
After the first season of adult soccer play, local families protested the constant actions that eliminated family time at the park on Sundays. Other community members asked if part of the fees for the soccer teams would be used to repair and replant the lawns. Nothing was changed, nor settled and the lawns areas remained bare. As the second soccer season began, the lawns grew worse and the invastion of outsiders to our park continued.
Families were not able to use the park as previously promised by local officials. Local community members continue to be unhappy with the City of Los Angeles allowing - out of the area - soccer teams to trample and destory our newly redesigned family park and take away precious family time at the park.

Re: Town of Southport
Issues: Hours of operation are not being enforced. No adult supervision during hours of operation. Underage drinking.

Vandalizing neighboring property.
Noise ordinance not being enforced.
12. Push Back Adult Swim's Time slot
June 25, 2006
Adult Swim aired on Cartoon Netowrk starting at 11 PM Eastern/Pacific time, 10 Central. This allowed for a decent bedtime of parents that did NOT want their children watching [AS], and allowing those children to fall asleep.
Now [AS] has moved up, to 9:30 PM Central time. It is true that parent's should be making sure that their children do not watch inapproiate programing, but what about children that have a TV in their bedroom that can easily avoid their parents?
We need to have Cartoon Network ([AS]'s parent station) push back the time slot that [AS] begins.
February 06, 2006
On February 15, 2004 SwimMod_Deus left the Adult Swim message boards. He left amicably and of his own choice for personal reasons.
As a mod he was a member favorite and developed a love for the boards as many of us in turn have.
After some time away from the boards, he came back to our little community and started to re-integrate himself back into the boards. Now he is a regular member, same as he always was.
I am creating this petition of my own free will, to express my belief that SwimMod_Deus should be restored to a moderator status on the Adult Swim message boards. Please sign if you feel the same way.
14. Include orthodontics in Hoosier Healthwise Coverage
Studies show that millions of Americans (including 75 % of children) have oral health problems that could benefit from orthodontic treatment. Without treatment, many could develop more serious problems, including: cavities, tooth loss, diseased gums, bone destruction, and joint problems.
Although there is not a universal best age to begin orthodontic treatment, the AAO recommends that every child see an orthodontist at an early age. This could be as young as 2 or 3, but should be no later than age 7. Although many people associate orthodontic treatment with adolescence, orthodontists can spot subtle problems with jaw growth or with the teeth much earlier, even while the primary (or baby) teeth are still present.
The American Dental Association recommends that every child have an orthodontic evaluation by the age of 7. With early detection, many orthodontic problems are easier to correct before jaw growth ceases.
Early examination enables the orthodontist to detect and evaluate problems and determine the appropriate time to treat them. "Preventive or interceptive" treatment may be initiated to prevent more serious problems from developing. For some youngsters, early treatment can prevent physical and emotional trauma. A child nicknamed "Bucky" may suffer more than teasing. Furthermore, studies show that protruding teeth are more susceptible to accidental chipping and other forms of dental injury.
A person with a facial deformity or crooked teeth often is judged negatively not only on appearance, but also on many other characteristics such as intelligence and personality.
Studies have shown that children and adults who have teeth or jaws they view as unattractive may suffer from a lack of self-esteem and confidence. In some cases, the psychological impact of crooked teeth has been found to hamper a person's social or vocational growth. Dr. Joyce Brothers, a leading psychologist and former adult orthodontic patient, holds that the need for acceptance is something we never outgrow. An adult who feels unattractive because of crooked teeth may cover his or her mouth when speaking or laughing, and may feel self-conscious in social situations.
Naturally, one feels better when one looks better, and a pleasing appearance is a vital asset to one's self-confidence and self-esteem. A person's self-consciousness often disappears as orthodontic treatment brings teeth, lips and face into their proper positions. Although dental health concerns are frequently the primary impetus for orthodontic treatment, but in many cases, orthodontics provides both physical and psychological benefits.
We need to offer lower income families the same opportunities for overall physical health, which includes their mouth. Why when so many states have included this coverage into their state insurance policies has Indiana left it out?
Mr. Chocola can you help our children have a better quality of life? Can you help us get full orthodontic treatment included into the state's health plan?
15. Allow "adult" content on neopets
i myself have gone through, i dont know atleast five accounts on neopets being frozen for very silly reasons. i am sick of it.
plenty of teen and adult neopians want to excercise their freedom of speech and press.

219 Curt I get disability and it took over a year to get then medicaid wouldnt cover the hospital bills more than 90 days back leaving me screwed drowning in medical bills.
218 Adrienne Smith It is hard enough to get disability and has taken me two yrs to get before a judge. Now you want to change everything that people on disabiity need. We are still people. Most of us have worked very hard in our lives, and no one asked to get sick or disabled in anyway. Some day I would hope to re-marry, however, it seems that you are forcing people to live together instead of the instiution of marriage which is sacred. We can not lose money because we want to marry and live some kind of life. Please do no go through with any kind of "taking away from the disabled people of the United States". Our goverment seems more concerned with giving money to people in other countries than taking care of the born and raised US citizians.
Adrienne Smith
217 Wendy Gantos I am a disabled attorney and cannot practice due to my disability. I had to wait 2 years for my employer to give me long term disability. During that time, I tried to get food stamps, and the process was so ridiculously long and hard, I never got them! Now if an attorney can't figure out the system, how can the rest of the country figure it out. I live now on disability and my bills are way more than my income every month. I can't even afford to pay my student loans. Great country, huh?
216 Ron Bones My wife is on ssi&ssd,I'm a disabled Vet with only 30% and we barely get through the month. food stamps only go so far when what you get isn't even half of what a single friend gets because she lives in a different part of the State. Tehy need to get the system worked out so that everything is equal. But I doubt we'llsee it soon. You know the old saying: SURE YOU CAN TRUST OUR GOVERMENT...JUST ASK ANY NATIVE AMERICAN!
215 Liz DeWitt Please, do not abolish social security. We need it.
214 Katherine M. Aaron Please support the disabled in this country. They already have to jump through hoops just to be approved and it certainly causes financial hardship on a family that are unecessary.
213 Joyce A Spencer People who marry they have disabilities. They end up losing some money. How in this country can they live could. When they pay more out of there checks every month.People should not have money taken away from them.Just because they marry.
212 rita stafford-bones Execellent point
211 Sophie D.
210 Teddy G. Bryant How far will this govt. go to be out of control and to take away benefits taxpayers have paid the govt., and to which they have the right?
209 Kathy Rogers I'm the mother of a disabled young adult. Our people in the US should taken care of before others. Forcing people to live alone or divorce a spouse to receive benefits is inhumane.
208 John Davis Remember Tim Cratchett? (Dickens-A Christmas Carol) You don't really want to see a nation of them do you? Give us the tools to maintain our dignity and ability to still be productive citizens!
207 Jacqueline McVicar What happened to taking care of our own? Shouldn't citizens of the United States receive aide before any other country?
206 Mike Pearson We can afford WAR , but we can't afford those with diabilities. and we say we are a Christian Nation???
205 Joanne D. Ferguson This is so important!
204 Dixie Boyd I am on disability. I cannot get glasses. I cannot get dental. I don't have transportation. If I marry I will loose my own benefits... WHAT KIND OF COUNTRY IS THIS?

202 Adriana Lortia
201 LINDA THE GOV SUX !!! GOOD LUCK KENDALL
200 Paul Manning
199 Priscilla Peters It seems to me That the Government makes it almost impossible for people to be Married...Please Help Us
198 Debi Koscielski My goverment supports & pushes its religious beliefs on me by promoting marrage & its religious right, yet punishes me by taking my disability when I comply. YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!
CHANGE THE LAW BEFORE i DIVORCE MY HUSBAND & YOU FORCE ME TO SIN EVEN MORE BY LIVING WITH HIM!
197 Barry Berger
196 Diane Grugan-Duvall I am the mother of a child with a disability.
195 Laurie Furlong I am the parent of a young adult with disabilities and I volunteer working with disabled. I support reform of the marriage penalty to SSI recipients.
WOULD GREATLY APRECIATE FURTHER SUPPORT FOR THIS CAUSE ON BEHALF OF AMERICA'S DISABLED.
Cowboybeebop was the best show and they should put it back on the air.
18. Sick and Tired of Internet and Email Pornography?
Sandy, Utah, March 24, 2005 - Finally a foundation determined and dedicated to rid our homes and work places from any and all pornography websites by instituting a "do not call" list for all pornography-related websites.
With the pornography industry now reaching 12 billion dollars in the United States alonemuch more than the combined revenue of ABC, CBS and NBC put together (6.2 billion); www.PureFamily.org has said enough is enough.
"12% of all Internet websites are pornography related. 8% of all email is pornographic in nature, 20% of adult males admit to accessing pornography at work, and 17% of adult females struggle with a pornography addiction. Not only are these statistics outrageous
" says Eamon Arnett, co- founder of Pure Family, "but the average age of first exposure to this filth is 11 years old, and 90% of 8-16 year olds confessed to viewing pornography onlinemost while doing their homework"!
Pure Family is saying, why wait any longer; why not fight this fight now? The foundation's description is nothing but straight and to the point, "Strength through Purity". "This is just a start to all the good we can accomplish as we work together in our communities
we will continue to fight for our families in what ever issues face them" says John Niels Petty co-founder of Pure Family. "We choose to fight for all our familiesthey mean everything to us."
For more information on how you can help to protect and strengthen your family, please feel free to logon to www.purefamily.org.
19. Have FOX bring Futurama Back on the Air waves!
Futurama was never formally cancelled, nor has any new episodes have been aired.
In the summer 2003 FOX stop airing new episodes of Futurama and eventually stopped airing the show all together.
Futurama and another animated series cancelled by FOX, Family Guy were picked up by Cartoon Network and is aired on their late night block of animated series "Adult Swim".
Both series gained a large fan base and high ratings due to Adult Swim.
Between high ratings on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim and petitions from fans of Family Guy, FOX has announced that all new episode Family Guy will be brought back to FOX this fall.
If it worked for Family Guy it can definatly work for Futurama.
If you would like to see NEW episodes of Futurama on FOX, Please sign this petition. The more fans sign the better chance we have of bringing back our beloved Animated Series!
20. No edited Degrassi episodes in U.S.
The-N's show Degrassi:The Next Generation has had shows that are edited to the point that you don't get the big idea about the episode. My petition is and saying that the episodes should not be edited unless it contains extreme violence, blood and gore, and extreme adult language, and nudity.
21. Lower the Drinking Age in the USA
As an adult, I am angry at the way I am treated just because I am 19 years old. My main problem is the restrictions on alcohol. "Minors," as we are called when in the presence of alcohol, have the right to fight for this country and vote. And not only am I upset that I cannot even have one drink, it is also the restriction from just about everywhere that serves it. Limitations should not be put on adults simply based on their age.
Anyone under the age of 21 cannot walk into TGI Friday's, a simple restaurant over the hours of 10:00 PM. That same person though, can sit down for a meal at 2:00 in the afternoon with a table of 30-year-olds drinking margaritas at the next table. There are hardly any nightclubs that allow anyone under 21 just because they are in the presence of alcohol. Being denied access to a nightclub gives minors very little options of what to do during their weekends. Most of the time, this leads to staying at home, or going to a friend's house where they are out of the public's eye and are able to drink. This can become a problem because they hardly have the chance to learn to drink responsibly. Being in the comfort of someone's home allows him or her to drink too much because the opportunity to just stop and "crash" on the couch, is there.
A lot of minors do not even want to go to a nightclub to just drink. They want to dance and they hardly get the opportunity to. The music in the 18 and over club is very limited and it is wrong to assume that everyone in a certain age range wants to listen to one type of music. It is so insulting to be an adult who is able to take care of their own responsibilities, but yet is so limited as to what they can do.
An adult is an adult and to separate a group from another just because of age is discrimination. This is supposed to be a country of equal rights and if we are all equal between skin color and sex, then an adult should not be less privileged than another because of his or her age. If 18 to 20-year-olds are not meant to share the same privileges as others, then take away their adulthood altogether. The privileges to serve the country and vote should also be taken away. Everyone matures differently and there is no way you can assume every 18-year-old is not yet responsible to drink and that every 21-year-old is. Many claim that if the age limit is lowered to 18, then the demand to lower it even further will rise. These people seem to forget that the difference between an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old is the simple fact that you are legally an adult at the age of 18.
When one hits the age of 18, they are most likely still living at home with their parents. If you give these young adults the chance to go to a bar with their parents to have their first drink or two, you let them learn responsibly from their parents the way to handle alcohol. At the age of 21, many adults are out of their parents' homes and experience what is supposed to be their first drink without any supervision. They drink too fast without knowing their limit because no one is there to warn them.
To most who are banned from it, alcohol is a sort of "forbidden fruit." As Dr. Ruth Engs, a professor at Indiana University has stated, "Lowering the drinking age would help send the important message that drinking is, in itself, not evidence of maturity... that responsible consumption for those who choose to drink is evidence of maturity." Japan is a country with a 20-year-old age limit for alcohol, but is not strictly enforced. Many have easy access into clubs and bars and when you are used to this as a minor, drinking is not a huge deal. You are treated more respectfully and there is no need to go against the law. By going out at an early age, you learn to drink responsibly at an early age.
As some of you fans know, AdultSwim is very concerned about what it puts on its "action Saturday" line up and most of you already know that its
"action Saturday" is not all that it could be. So now I ask AdultSwim, please put Mature anime on your line up such as, but not limited to: Berserk, Hellsing, Evangellion, Serial Experiments Lain and finally Spriggian the movie. A thought occured to me that you could possibly turn Friday into
"Action Friday" This way everybody wins.
July 22, 2004
Sea Lab 20201 is a stupid show! It is dull, poorly organized, and the graphics and humor are lame!
July 2004
Futurama, to me, is a hilarious show, but is not shown enough. I think that Adult Swim should show more than one episode of it!
25. Lowering The Drinking Age in MASSACHUSETTS
The reason why i made this petition is because the current laws are not working, kids still find ways to get alcohol. They have people who are older than them buy it or they have fake ids. What has this law done? Nothing,They say when you turn 18 you become a legal adult but you cant make your own decision wether to drink or not but its ok to become a bartender right at 18 , 19 or 20, but yet you cant drink any, Its okay to join the army and die for you country at 18, 19, 20 but yet they wont allow you to have alcohol. You can get married but yet you cant celebrate with a glass of champagne at your wedding because you know why You havnt reached that magic # 21!!!.You know what thats absurd,And then they tell us oh you cant handle any right you havnt matured enough ,O ya but by law im already an adult, i can get tried as an "adult" ,VOTE, BUY TOBACCO,PLAY THE LOTTERY , WASTE MY MONEY ON GAMBLING SO THE STATE CAN MAKE A PROFIT OFF ME BUT YET IM NOT OLD ENOUGH TO HANDLE ALCOHOL.Thats stupid i think we should make are own decisions and be responsible for are own actions i think they should change the law.
Because if they lowered the law it would take the fun out of doing something illegal.
Do you get what im saying yet?Because if its illegal kids are gonna say ya i wanna do it because i cant buy it, im only 18 , 19 or 20 but yet i cant do it even though im an adult right?.That will make them do it even more. The law isnt working as you think it is , if they lower it to atleast 19 years old i think it would teach us how to drink responsible as young adults.Look at europe they may be a different country but yet not much countrys have a strict law on age .Here its 21,there its under 16 , 18 and 20.And some countrys dont require an age.Who knows if this will work but it doesnt hurt to try. They lowered the law but it failed ,but put it this way they made that decision to drink and drive no one ever said to do it, it was there decision alcohol does affect people and i aint gonna argue about that , it does have different affects on people and sometimes people make the wrong choices when they abuse alcohol but you cant discriminate on age because of that.If you agree with me then sign it if not then thats your opinion.
26. Make John Kerry Support Howard Stern
The free speech rights of Howard Stern are being violated by the US Government via the FCC. Since Howard came out against George W. Bush he is being made a target of a secret investigation by Michael Powell's FCC. Howard has elected to support John Kerry on the air but Kerry has already spoken against Howard when Kerry said Clear Channel was right to pull Howard's show from 6 markets. While it is a top priority to get Bush out of office, Kerry may be just as bad unless we the people (and Sterns fans)can convince him in advance of the election to come out against the FCC or at least for Howard's free speech rights. The FCC should not be able to decide what is indecent for us to listen to on the radio in the morning. Those who support taking that minor pleasure from us are wrong-headed and controlling and will eventually destroy our constitution and country with their minority holier than thou attitudes. They are winning the fight but we have not lost the war. Please sign and distribute this petition which will tell Kerry how many registered voters will vote for Nader if Kerry doesn't comply. It seems like the least we could ask of him as we swing the election in his favor.
I will send to Kerry and the DNC the following message along with the petition:
John Kerry, the undersigned petitioners are registered voters or promise they will register to vote in the November election. These voters are adult fans of Howard Stern and are concerned that the right to free speech in our country is being violated by a vocal minority. John Kerry these people pledge to give you our votes but only if prior to the election you take a stand to eliminate the FCC or drastically cut back it's ability to control the "content" of our airwaves. You should realize that a small number of people organize groups of their followers to duplicate complaints and sway the FCC (not to mention advertisers and broadcasters) to penalize broadcasters for barely adult content. The Howard Stern show is certainly not "obscene" and "indecent" is such an arguable word that a court should decide, not a group of politically appointed officials ruling the FCC. John Kerry, if you care about the constitution, you will make this minor step and take a stand in support of Howard's right to do his show and speak his mind.
So the choice is yours, make the pledge and get the votes that will guarantee your victory or don't and know that the votes could go to Ralph Nader and that may cost you the election. The First Amendments right to free speech is so important that every candidate should be speaking out in support of it but instead the opposite is happening.
27. Adult Swim against Cartoon Fridays
Have you ever spent all week watching Adult Swim, just to remember they don't run it on fridays. It's upsetting, and most of all boring. It also has come to my attention that A.S. is not run on saturday either. Please sign this petition to get Adult Swim running all week.
28. Recreation Programs for Palisade
Palisade Town Government has denied the Palisade residents a recreation program. This year will be the second year in a row. Our children as well as our adult residents need to have a recreation program, our town is small and there is little to do to keep our children occupied. The citizens of Palisade need to speek up and get a Recreation program going in Palisade.
My brother Bryon Cobb was killed in an atv accident when he was 14 years of age. He was under the supervision of a 20 year old family friend. The 20 year old family friend allowed Bryon to operate an atv, against my father's wishes on dangerous terrain, which resulted in my brother's death.
Let Idaho be a leader in the promotion of rights and privileges of all adults in our State. With our nation at war, it brings to mind that the brave men and woman of Idaho can make the decision to put their lives on the line for the sake of the nation; it only makes sense that they can also make the decision to have a cold beer.
If one is old enough to vote for the person that ultimately decides the fates of not only the State, but of this great nation, that same person deserves to make a personal choice regarding whether or not they wish to consume a glass of chardonnay. If a person is liable for choices they make regarding laws and can be held as a "responsible adult" at the age of eighteen, then that person should have the same privilege of deciding if they would like to toast the bride at a wedding, or the newest addition to his or her own family with a glass of champagne. This is a privilege that would not only benefit the men and women of Idaho that fall under the current drinking age; it would also benefit the businesses of Idaho.
