Yes Give People a Vote - Carbon Tax Plebiscite

Background (Preamble):
The Hon. Julia Gillard MP stated,
"There will be no carbon tax under a government I lead."
Had she stated,
"There will be a carbon tax under the government I lead."
The election result may have been different.
Therefore before:
1) the Senate is controlled by the Greens, and
2) countless millions of taxpayer dollars are spent on advertising campaigns,
the voters of Australia should be given the opportunity to give the Federal Government a mandate for the proposed carbon tax.

We, the undersigned, call on the Independents to support the concept of democracy and allow the people of Australia to have their say on whether or not a carbon tax as proposed should be introduced at this time.
