In the Wayne State University parking structures, there are many aspects that make driving in the structure very stressful and unsafe. One specific issue is the intersections within the parking structure. The problem with these intersections is that drivers are unable to see other drivers approaching them due to parked vehicles blocking drivers’ line of sight. The tight spaces and blind spots at intersections pose a huge risk for a collision. The limited visibility can create very dangerous driving conditions. At Wayne, student safety should the main priority. That is why we are rising to this initiative in hopes of reaching WSU parking and transportation administration.
We, the students of Wayne State University, call on the WSU Parking & Transportation to increasing safety in parking structures, specifically the blind spots created at intersections.
