Since 2004 the state government has been trying to develop the ADI site and and get rid of the resident kangaroos.
On the Resident Action Group (RAG), the animal welfare group trying to stop this development, website there are disturbing images taken by photographers of the inhumane experimental surgery undertaken to sterilise the female kangaroos and the euthanasure of their joeys. About 75% of the females had joeys. About 10-15% had broken necks from inadequate capture cages.
Blackberry bushes in release area catching many kangaroos which bled to death from the thorns.
We, the undersigned, call on the NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change to save the ADI site and request that it should be turned into a National park.
