More than 160,000 horses were sent to slaughter last year alone, and a vast majority of them would have been good candidates for new homes.
The USDA documented that 92.3 percent of horses sent to slaughter are in good condition and are able to live out a productive life.
We, the undersigned, call on the United States to ban horse slaughter in America.
Horse slaughter is a cruel, unnecessary practice and horse slaughter plants do this inhumanely.
