Notwithstanding the ramifications that such action will inevitably have, the British Government should, at least as a gesture of good will, negotiate the eventual return of the "Elgin Marbles" to Greece for display with other artifacts relating to Greek heritage at this (the Acropolis) important World Heritage Site.
We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to enter into sincere and meaningful negotiation with the government of Greece with the ultimate aim of returning the "Elgin Marbles" to their rightful home, being a World Heritage Site.
