REMOVE 100 SMS PER DAY LIMIT in INDIA

Background (Preamble):
On September 27 2011, The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) brought out a stringent code so as to stop the menace of tele-marketeers.
While it dealt with that issue effectively, with the strengthening of the Do Not Disturb (DND) registry, lurking in it was a troublesome clause, limiting the number of SMSs per day per subscriber to 100. In today's age, SMS has evolved to become an easy, short and quick way for communication, and passing on information at a stretch.
A limit of 100 messages per day to *individual* customers only blocks the flow of vital information, and interpersonal exchange.

We, the undersigned, call upon you, Honourable Minister for Telecommunication, to revoke on behalf of the Government of India, clause 20.2.K (CHAPTER 5) of the "Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2010" (No.305-17/2010-QoS, Dated 1st December 2010).
