Retarmac the whole surface of Broad Street, Griffithstown

The condition of the tarmac surface of Broad Street, Griffithstown, has deteriorated rapidly over several years. Although Torfaen County Borough Council have patched up various sections of the road, it is only ever a temporary measure. Large potholes are common along the whole street making it unsafe for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles.

The Senior Highways Inspector recently acknowledged that Broad Street was one of the worst roads in Griffithstown. The Council have refused to repair the road's surface because they have insufficient funds and other roads have greater priority.
