Background (Preamble):
Are you aware that the property for the proposed Scripps Ranch middle school site is significantly smaller - half the size of Wangenheim - even though the number os students is greater than Wangenheim?
Petition:
We the undersigned are opposed to the construction of the proposed middle school for Scripps Ranch to be located on the "Intel Site." The proposed location is only 15-16 acres-half the acerage allocated to Wangenheim. Despite the fact that the proposed site is significantly smaller, it is to accomodate a student population much larger than Wangenheim middle school. The reduced acreage and increased student population is in direct contradiction to the San Diego City School District Guidelines and the State of California recommendations for a middle school.
