Despite the current economic crisis, Newcastle's Liberal Democrats have proposed a 2.8% increase in council tax in the city.

We, the undersigned, agree that the present level of council tax in Newcastle is too high.
We petition the city council to reduce Newcastle's council tax whilst maintaining efficient public services for the city. As a minimum, council tax should not be increased this year.
