Target: resturant association
Region: United States of America
Result:
looks like the state of Florida has no smokers anymore, so this petition is just a waste of time. I like the service, and will probably start another one, just change the wording to get more attention. I know us smokers are discriminated against, and I feel it only right to speak out about it.
Background (Preamble):
saftey is no issue in the workplace anymore. we smokers are subjected to the elements of the weather, endangerment to our beings, and noone has yet to decrease the cost of health care expenses when we catch pneumonia. the government gives out free rehabilitation to druggies and alcoholics, but the smoking patch still cost me an average of $60.00. A doctor visit still cost me an average of $70.00. Noone is trying to rehabilitate me, or ensure my safety when I go outside my workplace to smoke a cigarette. Our job says for us not to go outside after dark, but we are addicts...to cigarettes....noone is lowering the cost of care...noone has built an additional building for us to smoke in...we get no breaks, even tho the wage and hour law states we are entitled to them...the drinkers and junkies get all the help they need...smokers get none.
Petition:
change the smoking laws for the state of Florida. Give us smokers the same rights that other addicts have...give us free/affordable medical attention...give us a place to use and abuse our "drug" without jeopardizing our lives.
