For the past 15 years the American Pit Bull Terrier has been discriminated against by an out of date law known as the Dangerous Dogs Act (DDA) 1991.

This senseless law has ensured that this incredible breed has almost become extinct on the UK shores. The few aging APBT survivors are forced to be registered, muzzled and neutered. For a country which prides itself on being the birthplace of modern democracy its Government continues to act anything but democratic.

Those of us who are supporters of the breed are deprived of owning these dogs because they are "dangerous". There is no such thing as a dangerous dog, only a dangerous owner. Any dog can become dangerous if it is trained to hate and not properly socialised with other animals and humans. Is it not time that Governments introduced legistlation which punishes the human owners and not their dogs when they allow things to go wrong?

Please sign this petition and help us to overturn this senseless and stupid law. Thank you.
