Lately in Indonesia, there have been many robbers armed with firearms. Civilians can only let them go, and the police (basically) do nothing about the robbery, and our law enforcement often mistake the airsoft guns as firearms.
We the citizen of Indonesia need to stand against criminals and not allow them to break into our homes and violate our families and steal our property.
We the undersigned call on the Government of Indonesia to allow law abiding citizens of Indonesia to protect themselves, their families, and property with use of firearms.
Some advantage if the firearms are legalized:
1. Allow the extra workfield for the citizen. Population of Indonesia are very crowded,therefore we need an extra work field for the unemployed.
2. Crime are decreased. Contrary to the popular belief,the "proper" usage of firearms can reduce the criminal rate.The economist John Lott, in his book More Guns, Less Crime, states that laws which make it easier for law-abiding citizens to get a permit to carry a gun in public places, cause reductions in crime.
3. New commodity; Like the Americans private arms company,the firearms of Indonesia can be an extra commodity to the international market (just like the local air rifles).
