Paws for a Cause Casuarina and Salt
Casuarina Beach is officially an On Leash beach for dogs, however many locals were unaware of this until Council recently sent rangers to warn and fine residents for having their pups' off leash.
Paws for a Cause are a group of local residents petitioning to Council for a fairer regulation that appeases the entire community.
Paws for a Cause are petitioning to Tweed Shire Council to allow 4 off leash hours per day on Salt and Casuarina Beaches for dogs. The proposal includes a 12 month trial and the Dunes designated a strictly prohibited area to protect wildlife.
The suggested hours are 6-8am and 4-6m daily. Please join our cause!
