Steven Sheppard has been unnecessarily given the consequence of removal from the Ave Maria University campus for the remainder of the semester. He will be able to finish classes and graduate, but not on campus. Not only is this punishment excessive in our eyes, but it also goes against the wishes of all the government authorities and common citizens who desire to quarantine the current COVID-19 outbreak. The decision makers gave too short of a notice to leave campus as well. He is set to leave Friday, tomorrow by 5pm.
We, the students at this University, call on the Residence Life of this school to nullify their decision of kicking Steven Sheppard off campus.
