Gold Coast Shark Nets need to be stopped. They don't provide us with any safety, they are only 6m deep and sharks can just easily swim underneath. So why are they there if there's more non-intended species being caught than they're sharks. Gold Coast City Council you need to stop these acts. They are inhumane and should be illegal. Tom Tate needs to stop the killing of animals for no reason, Gold Coast City Council might not be doing it directly but they are still putting in place the objects taht kill these animals for no reason.
We, the petitioners, want the Gold Coast City Council to remove and destroy all Shark Catching equipment aswell as any equipment used to prevent any animal from a free right to go where ever they would like this includes shark nets and bait hooks.
