Richland community college located in decatur, Illinois has agreed to look into opening evening certified nursing assistant training classes. This will allow working students to continue their day jobs while pursuing further education. Mothers, like myself (amongst many others) simply cannot afford to give up their job or even switch to a more flexible job with loss of hours and pay. I am currently on my last semester of pre-req classes for Richlands RN program and the only thing holding me back is the CNA training program before I can start!
The community of Decatur, Illinois and future and current students of Richland community college, sign this petition to fight for evening courses offered within the CNA training program, and the possibility of looking into other training programs being offered nightly as well.
