Due to lack of signatures, the petition was closed. Upon request, it could be set up again.
There are people living in the City of Casey that deserve a fair go. Those that are living in retirement homes and are on pensions and disability payments need as much assistance as they can get. They do not have the resourses most of us take for granted. It is a cold hearted council that does not consider these people need help in many forms.
Health Care Card holders are offered discounts or consessions for the motor vehicle registrations gas, electricity and water bills, why does the City of Casey not issue these benefits also. Does the council not have a heart?
It's time we showed our support for those less fortunate than ourselves and request that the City of Casey do its bit in this area.
We, the people that sign this petition, request that the City of Casey Council, implement a consession to Health Care Card holders, and those on Governments Pensions and other welfare payments. We also ask that the City of Casey give similar considerations to those living in retirement villages within Casey.
We ask that the City of Casey offer similar reductions in rates payments required of these people, to that of the electricity, gas and water consessions.
We feel this is just and right and would be widely accepted by the communities within this municipality.
