Hawaii Revised statues (Act 53) allows Ag Education on Ag lands without having to apply for a C&C special Permit.
The intent of Act 53 was to allow farmers to operate “Agricultural Education Programs” on their farms without having a to apply for a City special use permit.

Equine 808 Horse Rescue is an Agriculture Education Program established to rescue, rehabilitate and provide abused and neglected horses a sanctuary and provides education on proper ownership responsibility and horse care and should be allowed to operate under Act 53 without applying for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP).
We, the undersigned, urge our leaders to act now to Action petitioned for The City & County of Honolulu to humbly change the current Land Use Ordinance to allow for Ag Education Programs to be conducted on AG-Zoned Properties.
