My husband's oldest daughter was removed from her mother's house and placed in the grandmother's home the same day she was removed his child support was raised from 548$ a month to 708$ a month the child support is being paid directly to the mother since then the daughter has graduated high school moved out if the home and is now 19 years old for over 3 years we have ask for a review and finally after going through ombudsmen he got a court date when he brought up the fact that he has paid child support on a child that was removed from the mother's home and is now 19 the judge stated he should have gotten in sooner even though he had letters proving he has tried the judge wouldn't listen the mother got caught in several lies she stated that the daughter lived with her and only attended school at her grandmother's that was a lie the mother stated that she hasn't worked in over 5 years but every year she files taxes as self employed and after looking at the mothers taxes the judge agreed that my husband's child support should have been lowered but yet nothing was done the judge even ask the mother if she has paid any child support to her mother she stated she had but couldn't provide not one shread of proof because it was a lie and all though the mother was caught lying to receive more child support the judge done nothing my husband said he felt like when he walked into the court room and seen 3 female child support workers and a female judge he didn't have a chance to even be herd and was discriminated against i went on Facebook before starting this petition and ask how many others have been treated this way by the division of child support and the response was overwhelming the laws need to be changed i don't feel like a man who looses his job and has to take a lower paying job should have to pay the same as he dud before because he has the potential to make what he has in the past of a man who has never committed a crime got sick and couldn't work and got behind in child support is now a convicted felon these laws are so one sided and need to be changed i urge you to please sign this petition im not saying in anyway a man shouldn't have to pay child support but the laws should be fair and its sadly not fair let get this petition going and get these laws rewritten
We the single fathers and mothers that pay child support are asking for child support reform we are asking to be treated fairly and that the laws are not written so one sided to favor the payee we are aking the government to look into the complaints that tossed aside we are asking you to listen to us when a mans child support is raised by 250$ the same day the child is removed from the mother's home but yet the mother is getting 708$ a month for a child thats not in her home that you listen and make changes the money is child support not spousal support but all to often thats exactly what it is we ask that when a mans company goes out of business and he has to take a lower paying job that you not go off of potential income but the income he actually makes we ask that you listen we ask that when a man gets sick and gets behind on his child support that he not become a convicted felon and runi his life just because he got sick especially when he has paid all his support in the past we ask that you not only listen but you take action
