We hope that the signatures on this document will show the importance of this topic to our community, and to the overall physical and emotional well being of laboring mothers.

2. Stop 4% CMS Collection Charge

This petition specifically aims to stop the 4% collection charge made by the CMS, being taken from the payments that are for the welfare and upkeep of a child's daily needs.

Within the coming weeks the government proposes to introduce collection charges to resident and non-resident parents who require the Child Maintenance Service (CMS) for receiving and sending their payments. Those that require the collection service often do not receive direct payments due to a history of a dysfunctional working relationship (possibly abusive or irregular payers who lack responsibility in maintaining payment).

The non-resident parent will be charged 20% on top of their usual payments, if they have failed to make a payment and the CMS need to chase them in any circumstance. THE RESIDENT PARENT WILL ALSO HAVE A 4% CHARGE to the money they receive for their children! This petition specifically aims to stop the 4% charge being taken from the payments that are for the welfare and upkeep of a child's daily needs. IT IS NOT the responsibility or fault of the resident parent or the CHILD/CHILDREN if a non-resident parent is an irregular payer or disregards their responsibility to pay towards their children, making this 4% charge unfair inappropriate and detracting from the purpose of the payments.

No child should have to pay for their non-residents parents failings.

We can change this now, before it is set in stone in the next few weeks and ask that all parent, grandparents and society as a whole care and action against policies like this one that directly impose a disservice to children.

3. End poverty of mothers & children. Recognize caregiving work. Support the RISE Act and Reintroduction of the WORK Act.

  • 21.6% of US children live in poverty, more than in any other major industrialized country.
  • Mothers are the primary caregivers everywhere in the world, working to ensure the survival and wellbeing of children, families and communities.
  • Instead of recognition and support, mothers (and others with primary care responsibilities) are deprived of income and resources for this work.
  • Since Welfare Reform (TANF) was introduced in 1996, mothers must do unpaid work to ‘earn’ their benefits (Workfare).
  • Wealthy mothers can choose to raise their children full-time, mothers on Workfare must leave their children, even without childcare, or lose their benefits.
  • Workfare bypasses the minimum wage and drives down all wages, especially women’s, increasing the wage gap between women and men.
  • When mothers’ caregiving work is devalued, the children being cared for are devalued.
  • Only 36% of welfare money now goes to support families; the rest goes to state bureaucracy, and to remove children from their low-income mothers.
  • Breastfeeding among welfare mothers has decreased by 22%, and in Wisconsin, the first to introduce Welfare Reform, infant mortality has increased by 11%, and by 37% in Milwaukee's African American community.

4. MTV should stop airing Teen Mom

Teen Mom is a reality television show that follows mothers to be and already mothers who are at a young age.

6. Invest in a caring society. A living wage for mothers and other carers.

Mothers are the primary carers everywhere in the world. Caring for children, sick, disabled and elderly people is work vital to society.

Carers are impoverished. Income Support is being abolished. Child Benefit, society’s commitment to children, is no longer universal. Carer’s Allowance is insultingly low and most carers don’t even qualify. 200,000 care workers are denied the minimum wage.

When mothers are impoverished, children suffer: hunger, ill-health, and more often taken into care.

Mothers are told they are ‘workless’ and that earning is more important than caring. They are pushed into jobs regardless of hours, pay or childcare provision. The right to have children is being challenged.

Mothers are forced into unpaid work to ‘earn’ their benefits (‘workfare’). ‘Workfare’ bypasses the minimum wage, driving down all wages, especially women’s, and undermining pay equity.

Having to fit caring around jobs results in overwork, exhaustion and ill-health. Grandparents must often leave retirement to help.

Employed mothers (or fathers) who take time off to care for children or relatives, lose pay, promotion and future pension.

When caring work is devalued, people, relationships and life itself are devalued. The result is inequity and social neglect, but also environmental destruction and war.

Demanding time and resources for caring aims to redirect economic and social policies towards people and the planet, and away from the uncaring market.

8. Stop government cuts to welfare and security

We are doing this petition as there are cuts that are being made and every thing is not being taken in to consideration. Our soldiers have been fighting for years in Afghanistan and yet there are being cuts made to the Defense system.

People have died for the United kingdom fighting front line! Laying off soldiers is showing them is a stab in the back!

Cuts are being made to single mothers and elderly and disabled but yet there is a £100,000 a week pay out for Abu Quatar to stay in this country because it affects his human rights. People that have lived in this country all their life and even people that have moved here and pay tax and national insurance are not being thought about. Every one is being affected by cuts but yet when there is one way to save money it isnt being done.

"Qatada's release was ordered by a special immigration court which ruled on Monday that sending him back to Jordan to face terror charges would breach his human rights. He will be allowed out between 8am and 4pm and be monitored by the police and MI5 at a cost of £100,000 a week." Daily mail Online.

Another thing is there are plenty of working people but as the cuts are going forward by the time younger people get to 65 there wont be any money for a pension, So therefore we are having to pay into a pension even though all the tax we pay should go towards a state pension. No one ever goes to rich people for extra tax when they are earning +Millions, Every one is trying to live and do their bit for them selves and their family but it looks like the middle class working people are the most affected in the current government.

9. Help Fight Fistula

Fistula is a condition affects over 2 million women and girls across Africa and results in loss of dignity, self worth and productivity for most of them.

The devastating medical and social repercussions of VVF are real and life threatening.

Women afflicted by VVF are shunned and generally treated as outcasts.

The condition is, in most cases, solved by a simple surgical procedure, costing less than $250.

Your contribution will go a long way to make a difference in the lives of countless African Mothers.

10. Free training days for midwives

Currently, midwives have often to both fund their own updating training, and take time off to complete it. There is no statutory obligation to support them. This is unacceptable.

Training in high risk pregnancy situations, like pre-eclampsia should be free, paid for, leave provided and compulsory. Recent news from senior midwives suggests midwives are stretched to breaking point. See http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1343408/. More midwives are in training, but in the meantime those on the frontline will pay the price.

11. DHS/DCFS: Give Us Back Our Children!

Across the US, women and families are unjustly losing custody of children to child protective services. Instead of helping families in poverty with housing, childcare and legal needs, child welfare services remove kids, particularly from single mothers of color, younger/older mothers, and alternative families. Most children are far better off and safer with family than in foster care with strangers. Once in the system, it is a lengthy process & sometimes impossible task to get children back. At the same time, kids in real danger often do not get the protection they desperately need – official negligence in both directions. Government financial incentives and incentives to private agencies encourage prolonged foster care: the dollars flowing to divide, not to reunite families.

Over 500 signatures were gathered on our old petition, click here to see comments from people around the world.

  • Fact – Out of every 1000 impoverished children in their jurisdiction, Phila removes 31 and LA removes 21 – the two highest rates in the country. Chicago removes 5 children. Nat’l Coalition for Child Protection Reform.

  • Fact – Black children are more likely to be taken from their homes, to stay in protective custody longer and never to return to their parents. (Cincinnati Post)

  • Fact – 1/3 of those who were in foster care report abuse by an adult in a foster care facility (Casey Family Programs). They have twice the rate of PTSD as Gulf War Veterans (see NCCPR www.nccpr.org)

  • Fact – 30% of foster children could be home right now if their parents had decent housing (NCCPR)

12. Putting Children and Family Services in their Place

Nationwide, there are State run agencies who are supposed to be protecting abused children in dangerous situations. Each State has many different titles for them. All of them are main stapled as CPS (Child Protective Services). For example, in Texas they're known as DFPS. (Department of Family and Protective Services)

While there is an important need to find abused children and to protect them, the current system is only finding a small percentage of those truly abused children. The rest of their statistics that guarantee a high departmental income are from families who never abused their children. Where they get this income and the sources of information will be posted after the next paragraph.

I am not calling for an abolishment of CPS. What I am petitioning for is an overhaul and restructure to bring them in line with lawful investigation practices, to maintain Constitutional Rights and proper training for Agents who never had children, and psychological evaluations to find and replace the Agents who were themselves abused as Children and see abuse in every home regardless of the situation. This is not, I repeat, not a rare occurrence. I will supply statistics to support this and how this has escalated. I will also supply the sources.

Departmental income has become more important to CPS and their offices than actually finding abused children and protecting them. Each and every time they remove a child from the home, they get paid from the Federal Government. Here they are:
1. Public Law 93-247 known as the Mondale Act of 1974.
2. Public Law 96-272 known as the Adoption Assistance and Child Welfare Act of 1980
3. Social Security Title IV-E funds.

The ASFA- Public Law 105-89 known as American Safe Families Act of 1997 is one of the most horrific laws on the books today. While it sounds nice in the title, when you get through the legal jargon, what this means is so wrong. If you ever had a child removed from your house by CPS, even UNFOUNDED and you are innocent, they will take that child in minutes after the child is born! Babies are highly adoptable and the Federal Government pays out $6,000 to the CPS office who conducts the legal kidnapping and gets them adopted quickly without regards to the biological Mother and her family. Since she was investigated once, they do this in the "best interests of the child" as she is a "potential" abuser. The largest targeted types of families are folks with low incomes, children on SSI and are minorities. If you even have one of those three issues, you are a target for CPS to illegally investigate you. While these things are a surefire magnet, they have been known to do illegal investigations against families if they were reported falsely with malicious intent. Example is an ex-wife wants to get even with her ex-husband and his new family; she could report them and put them through Hell.

Why are the reasons CPS Agents actually find so little true abuse?
1. Agents who never had children and don't understand that a few toys in the corner of the room is not a hazardous mess.
2. Agents are not trained in real evidence recognition. In fact, no Agent in CPS has any training in evidence, the Constitution or criminal justice. They are given anywhere from 3 to 6 months of training, being taught that it is ok to break into a Home without probable cause or exigent circumstances.
3. Agents are trained to use subjective speculation and not objective factual reporting.
4. The Agents do not get psychological evaluations. A number of Agents who were abused as a child themselves see abuse in every home they go into, even if it's not there.
5. Most States do not require Agents to have a degree in Social Sciences. Any degree will do, doesn't even have to be related to the field.
6. The Agency has no checks and balances. A field Agent can lie to a judge or police officer with absolutely no proof and have it entered as factual evidence in a court of law!
7. Agents are trained to believe they are immune from the authority of the First Amendment, Fourth Amendment, Fifth Amendment, Sixth Amendment and Fourteenth Amendment. They violate this in every investigation done nationwide.

13. Jaded Mothers of America Reclaiming Our Children

Women have submitted for ages letting men dominate them. Whole societies have based their culture on the preconceived notion that women are inferior to men, and we as women have accepted it. Now that a new day has come and women everywhere have fought for the right of equality. The notion that women can only raise children and men work has gone out the window. Women are now saying we can raise our children but that is not all we can do! In staking our claim in this world we have taken from men what was once unquestionably theirs, power. In taking this power leveling out the playing field if you will, men have now decided if us women want equality then they should have equality in what was once so unquestionably ours.

Men feel that just because they deposited sperm into a woman they have just as much right to the child. The bond between a mother and child does not even come close to the bond the child may or may not form with his or her father. The mother carries the fetus for 9 months changing her whole way of life sacrificing daily. During these months in this society she is most likely working just as much if not more than the sperm donor. She then painfully delivers the child who she will continue to care for and nurture on a constant basis for an extended period of time. She will feed the child from her own body fulfilling all the needs of her child.

Lets look at the roll the potential father plays. He will deposit his sperm. He may or may not care for the woman carrying the child for 9 months. He may or may not be there during the delivery process. He may or may not stay over night in the hospital with the child. He may or may not develop a bond with the child. And still this sperm donor gets his name on the birth certificate as the child's rightful father, giving that man the exact same rights as the woman. Even if the father does everything perfect cares for his child's mother during her pregnancy, is in the delivery room, stays with the child through the night in the hospital and helps raise the child his bond will never have that same level of intensity as the mothers bond is with the child. Therefore how can a father feel that he has the same rights over a child as the mother?

This is not an equality issue for men this is a revenge and control tactic men are using to regain power. So often men will go after the child in a custody battle because he knows it is what hurts his ex-wife the most. So often the child will suffer because she or he is just a pawn to the father. This is not fair or what is in the best interest of our children. It needs to be stopped and in signing this petition you are saying no more! You are saying you will not tolerate your children being used against you! You are saying if you potential fathers want all the same rights us women have over our own children including joint legal guardianship, you need to share in "all" our rights. And that will be accomplished through SBP (Simulated Birthing procedure).

I urge you to sign. In signing this petition you are saying you want equality nothing more, and nothing less.

* aids the development of your baby's eyesight, speech and intelligence;

17. Stop Abuse of Children - Eliminate Parental Alienation

Richard A. Gardner, M.D. introduced the term parental alienation syndrome and pioneered its study. In his efforts to assist people who were interested in learning about parental alienation syndrome and educating courts about PAS and its acceptance in the scientific community, and in response to misrepresentations that work on PAS had not been published in scientific journals, Dr. Gardner maintained on his Web site a list of references on parental alienation syndrome, a list of legal citations, a list of professional conferences on parental alienation syndrome, and a list of lectures that Dr. Gardner had been invited to deliver on parental alienation syndrome.

In May 2003 Dr. Gardner passed away. Since then a few of us throughout the world has stepped up to the plate to keep the truth out there. People that believe this is a form of abuse of human rights of the child. That children should not be caught up in adult conflict and have the right to both of their parents without interference by the other.

18. The NEW Fathers for Justice

This is a petition to help the father's out there being singled out of their children's life's by the British Court System. The Government has done nothing to help the father's and their children.

The court system stays one sided and the father's and their children are separated because the court system says so. It is never about what's best for the children it is about how to take the children's father down. This has to stop father's have just as much love and care for their children as mother's do. We need to do something to help the fathers in the UK get their rights with their children and their life's !

This petition is for all those who are great father's and deserve equal rights. In many cases it is not just the mother that is needed. A father that is caring and loving just as the mother deserve EQUAL rights to their children !!!

I am planning on taking this as far as I possibly can until there is no where to go and right now I believe our government in the UK and Canada and the States all over the world really don't see the whole picture for the father's except for them to be the one to nail in a court room even when they did nothing to deserve it except love their children !!! This has to stop !!!

Please if everyone would kindly send this to everyone you can to help our fathers and their children get what they so much deserve.. Thanks everyone that signs this petition and for your caring and love for everyone we are fighting for !!

Mission Statement
New Fathers 4 Justice is administered by a group of former F4J members who have all been involved in some form of direct action. We will actively help, support, encourage and publicize non violent direct action in the name of fathers rights. We believe that direct action is the only way to keep the pressure on the Government, CMEC, Family Law system and those that support them to force a change. We will uphold the ethos of the original F4J.

This will be done by using the tragic comedy style in an ever changing methods of direct action and protest. We hope to carry on where F4J left off.
Please note that we can not offer support or personal advice but will attempt to offer help whenever possible based on our experiences of these governmental structures. Now that awareness has been achieved, interest, desire and ultimately action are now our goals

1) To build a culture of the "family unit" and promote that two parents are better than one.
2) To promote that every child needs a daddy.
3) To promote that it is bad parenting to alienate a child from their daddy.
4) To promote that it is child abuse to stop contact with the father.
5) To promote that society needs dads as well as mums. We all matter.

What We Want - Two Measures Of Reform
1) Open Courts -
To be brought in line with the crown and magistrates courts. This will prevent corruption, biasness and implement a culture of accountability to the judiciary.

2) An Automatic Presumption Of Equal Contact When Parents Split. -
To have equality, will mean that both parents will have equal parity over seeing their children. Naturally, this will be in the best interests of the child.

19. Support Paid Maternity Leave

The current situation facing mothers today is intolerable and can no longer be ignored. Women who choose to become mothers face a variety of forms of discrimination including limited or no maternity leave and loss of employment or employment unavailability.

According to The Motherhood Manifesto (which can be accessed in full-text at www.mothersrising.org) the United States is one of only four other countries that don’t offer paid leave to mothers. The others include Papua New Guinea, Lesotho and Swaziland.
Since 51% of new mothers don’t get paid maternity leave many face termination or must make do with no pay. Having a baby is now a leading cause of poverty in the United States because a family’s income falls short of basic living expenses if a mother is at home taking care of her child without pay.

This is a relevant issue for both men and women who currently have children or are thinking of starting a family whether down the road or in the near future. With three quarter’s of America’s mothers in the workforce to deny them the right to paid maternity leave is economically unsound.

Discrimination in the workforce contributes to lower economic growth, diminishing incomes and higher expenses for unemployment and social security.

Ensuring paid maternity leave is the first step in making sure America’s families are secure. We urge the congressmen of the State of Indiana to take that first step and take responsibility for the future of its families by supporting paid maternity leave for its citizens.

20. STOP the Children-Cartel legalized by the British Courts

When Justice is Rough it then, becomes Injustice,

This is in E N G L A N D...in the UK...not in Africa

UK Family justice is based on the logic of a single Judge WHO determines right or wrong in the situation…If the wrong one is stronger, then very quickly the quest for justice becomes an exercise of power using justice as an excuse.

In this light, the victim of injustice becomes even more a victim because there is an infinity of means to punish the weaker being always the child and her mother.

Fathers will never be weak. They will go and “take care of the situation” by killing the weak aka the family...

Authoritarian regimes submit logic and justice to their power. In primitive societies like tribes, clans, prison society, soldiers “authoritarian regimes” prevail, with the strong at the top and the weak at the tail.

In those societies, discipline is usually firm because punishment can be very painful. Rough justice is often disposed to cruelty beyond Human reason. This is exactly the primitive manner that Justice is "served" to Mothers and their children here.

24. Westfield Malls - Please Support Breastfeeding Babies!

July 26, 2006

Fox 8 Morning News (Cleveland) aired a story on July 21, 2006 in which a local nursing mother (who wishes to remain anonymous) was refused permission to nurse her baby before paying for her purchases at the Aeropostale store in Great Northern Mall (which is owned by Westfield).

The mall representative who spoke to the reporter indicated that this kind of situation is why they put in the Family Room.

Westfield Corp. owns four area malls in addition to the malls they own in twelve other states and three other countries (the UK, Australia and New Zealand).

Some of those areas have much stronger protections for families who breastfeed in public than Ohio does, especially New York State (where Westfield owns two malls) - there the right to breastfeed is written into the Civil Rights section of the state laws, with specific penalties if violated.

27. Ban second hand smoke in foster homes in British Columbia

The 10,000 children in the care of the Province of BC ,living in approximately 4,000 foster homes and group homes deserve to live in a smoke-free environment.

In addition to the 4,000 chemicals and 40 known carcinogens in second-hand smoke, exposure also affects learning and behavioral development. Second-hand smoke leads to problems ranging from ear infections, asthma and increased crib deaths to bronchial conditions, respiratory conditions and some types of cancer.

We want laws to protect innocent children from the adverse affects of second hand smoke to be put in place as soon as possible. As concerned mothers, we demand this for each and every child in foster care in the Province of British Columbia.

28. Petition in support of Minnesota Mothers and Children

My name is Anne L. Halverson. I am a 21-yr-old mother of a one-year-old son, Aidan. I take motherhood very seriously and I take my employment seriously. In order to be employed and provide the best childcare environment for my son, I rely on a state funded child care subsidy. That means, based on my income, I pay a percentage of my son's child care expenses and the State of Minnesota subsidizes rest.

My son thrives at his day care center, Noah's Ark, in Hopkins, MN. He is cared for by well trained providers who, like me, want him to meet his growth milestones, be happy and well adjusted, understand about sharing, learn about tolerance, and be prepared for kindergarten. My son and I also rely on state subsidized health care. His pediatric clinic monitors his growth, advises me about his medical needs and has helped me become a confident parent. I know how fortunate we are to live in a state that values children by providing these opportunities.

Minnesota's governor, Tim Pawlenty, has proposed a budget that will slash child-care and health care subsidies for single mothers like me and our children. Without the aid of these subsidies, I will be forced to quit my job, surrender my opportunities to advance in the workforce, stay home full time with my child and apply for welfare benefits.

If you believe in and support mothers with young children who want their children in safe, regulated childcare centers; women who are proud to be part of Minnesota's workforce, please sign this petition.

I will present this petition when I speak before a Minnesota Senate Committee that is convening on Tuesday, February 22, at the Minnesota State Capital.

Thank You,
Anne L. Halverson

Please forward this to your friends and family. Thanks.

29. STOP NESTLE KILLING BABIES!

Nestlé holds about 50% of the world's breast milk substitute market and is being boycotted for continued breaches of the 1981 WHO (World Health Organisation) Code regulating the marketing of breast milk substitutes. Nestlé encourages bottle feeding primarily by either giving away free samples of baby milk to hospitals, or neglecting to collect payments. It has been criticised for misinforming mothers and health workers in promotional literature. Nestlé implies that malnourished mothers, and mothers of twins and premature babies are unable to breastfeed, despite health organisations claims that there is no evidence to support this.

Evidence of direct advertising to mothers has been found in over twenty countries such as South Africa and Thailand. Instructions and health warnings on packaging are often either absent, not prominently displayed or in an inappropriate language. All of these actions directly contravene the Code regulating the marketing of baby milk formulas.

Over 3000 infants die every day from baby bottle disease (WHO), and formula dependant babies create massive economic strain on poor families, contributing to unsustainable land use.

30. Handicap Parking for New Mothers

The average new mother is kicked out of the hospital after 48 hours; yet, the typical recovery time is 6 weeks. During this time, many women still have to run their household. Parking in handicapped spaces would ease a new mother's recovery.
