Bishop Shanahan is an amazing school, however the dances need to change. We are unable to bring a date from another school and are not permitted to bring friends of the same gender. We are not allowed to jump and dance, and the music played is not modern or fun. The lights are bright creating unwelcoming atmoshpere for dancing. This is not just for the recent issues regarding the freshman/sophmore social, this encompasses all dances held by Bishop Shanahan. We want change.
We, the students of Bishop Shanahan, want change. We deserve the privillage of bringing friends and dates from other schools. We deserve better music and a better atmoshpere for dancing. If the admistration wants us to continue attending their dances these changes are necessary.
