Background (Preamble):
Blu-ray Disc is the only high-definition optical disc format currently available. Many content producers who have investigated publishing on Blu-ray have found it to be complex, and expensive, and mandatory licensing requirements that did not exist for DVD or HD DVD.
If you would like to add your voice to those who would urge making the licensing fees less expensive, and the licensing restrictions less drastic and opaque, please sign here.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, believe that the Blu-ray format can benefit greatly by harnessing the energy of the large number of content publishers who currently do not publish on BD-ROM. To facilitate this, we urge the BDA and the AACS-LA to:
1 - make BDA/AACS licensing simpler;
2 - make AACS per-title licensing less expensive;
3 - reduce the AACS CPA fee to enable more publishers to publish using replicated BD-ROM.
