Target: Knowsley Borough Council and Prescot Town Council
Region: United Kingdom
Web site: http://www.prescotian.info
Background (Preamble):
Prescot Grammar School was the second oldest grammar school in Britain until it became Knowsley Park Centre for Learning in 2009. This represents an amazing 463 years of distinguished history from the time of Henry VIII to the twenty-first century.
Many notable students can trace their education back to PGS and its often inspired and remarkable teachers. It is sad that such an institution is not commemorated within the town of Prescot at any of the three main locations its inhabited.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, call upon PRESCOT TOWN and KNOWSLEY BOROUGH COUNCILS to support the erection of up to three commemorative plaques at the various sites occupied by the late PRESCOT GRAMMAR SCHOOL.
The financing of these commemorative plaques would be covered by public subscription and/or sponsorships.
