For 3 years, the Kid's TIME Children's Museum of the Antelope Valley has enlightened the children of the Antelope Valley with over 35 interactive Touch, Imagine, Make and Explore exhibits. It is the only facility of its type within a 100 mile radius. The Museum has hosted over 300 school fieldtrips, 150 birthday parties, and currently carries approximately 350 family memberships.
The Museum is now in danger of closing due to insufficient support from the city.
We the undersigned citizens of the Antelope Valley, and surrounding areas,
petition the City of Lancaster to support the Kid's TIME Children's Museum.
By signing this petition, we are requesting the City of Lancaster designate
the museum a crucial asset to our area, thereby giving families, schools,
and organizations an educational, safe and fun facility to visit. Knowing
that several Children's Museums in California receive support from their
city leaves the Lancaster children's museum at a disadvantage at a time when
our community is growing at such a fast pace.
Without financial support
from the City of Lancaster, the Kid's TIME Children's Museum will be forced
to close by June of 2005, taking away one of the greatest assets to the community.
