1. Stop Wisconsin killing Charlotte this Christmas

Worst Christmas story: Wisconsin vs. deer, article by John Kass @Chicago Tribune. The State of Wisconsin wants to kill Charlotte a deer, who thinks she is a horse.

Charlotte was rescued by Marvin Graaf and is being threatened with up to eight months in jail and a fine of up to $2,000.00. Some 15 months ago a mother deer and her fawn were hit by a car. The mother died and the fawn had been dragged by the car. Only her ear was torn. Charlotte stayed in the same spot where her mother died and wouldn't leave. A neighbor knew a man that had rescued other animals. For four days Charlotte, the fawn, just stood there where her mother died. She wouldn't eat. She was dying. Marvin was able to nurse her back to good health.

In August, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources sent officers to Graaf's home to kill Charlotte. Graaf refused to release Charlotte to them. She threatens no one by staying on Graaf's farm running with her horse friends.

2. Let Dodgeball be a School Sport!

Most kids don't like to participate in sports and activities because sometimes the rules and regulations, along with fees for equipment and entrance, make them feel submissive. Kids want to have fun but also to be free.

Through observation and inside resources, it has been agreed upon that kids don't like to play sports with a lot of rules whether in gym class or officially.

Dodgeball not only is a sport with less rules but also kids like it because they don't need to remember positions or special moves. More kids participate and work as a team when there is only few rules.

3. Hold CAFOS Accountable for their Environmental Impact

CAFOS (Confined Animal Feeding Operations) concentrate large numbers of animals into small land areas. These operations produce vast amounts of nitrate-rich manure that when spread on surrounding farm fields frequently leach nitrate, phosphate and potassium pollution into the surrounding surface and ground water.

High levels of nitrates in drinking water are associated with blue baby syndrome, a condition that reduces babies' ability to carry sufficient oxygen in the blood, and has been associate with elevated cancer risks. Nitrates also cause excessive algae growth in waterways, suffocating aquatic life.

4. Stop Mortgage Loan Originator's credit reports

The Secure and Fair Enforcement for mortgage lending, the SAFE Act, requires credit reports in order to achieve a new license in the mortgage industry or to renew an existing license.

This has caused Mortgage Loan Originators with many years of experience to lose their ability to continue in their chosen profession.

We seek to have to have the State of Wisconsin not consider the credit when deciding to renew an existing license or issue a new license.

5. Petition to Deny Parole for Cop Killer Ben Sanders

Officer Smith and Officer Gerald Hempe were shot and killed during a traffic stop. While attempting to arrest the driver of the vehicle a struggle ensued. During the struggle, a bystander who witnessed the stop walked up to the officers and opened fire, striking them both in the neck and head.

The bystander had nothing to do with the stop. Officer Smith had been a member of the Milwaukee Police Department for eight months. Officer Hempe had been a member of the Milwaukee Police Department for seven years.

6. Bring a Baseball Team to Racine

RAY-TOWN WANTS BASEBALL!

Greetings, all you Wisconsin baseball enthusaists! Welcome to Friends of Racine Baseball (FORB), the official online grassroots movement to bring professional or NCAA-sanctioned summer-collegiate baseball to the city of Racine, Wisconsin. Now why should Racine get a team, you may ask (other than because it's the site founder's hometown)? Just read the below paragraph and you'll see.

Though Racine has never had an affiliated, independent, or NCAA-summer collegiate baseball team, the Belle City has a strong heritage in our national pastime thanks to the Racine Belles of the All-American Girls League from 1943 to 1950 (won the championship in 1943 and 1946, and were documented in the movie A League Of Their Own). In addition, Racine has supported its local amateur teams in the nonprofit Racine Baseball Cooperative (Kiwanis, Redbirds, Mudcats, Raptors, Bombers, Vipers, & Cobras) for almost 20 years. Finally, our local football team, the Racine Raiders (under various names) have been a successful part of Racine's landscape for 55 years and counting, winning numerous championships and attracting seemingly unreal numbers for a minor-league NAFL team.

In addition to a proven history and tradition, bringing minor-league baseball to Racine will boost the city's struggling economy, attract tourism and its accompanying revenue to our local landmarks and businesses, create several new jobs to relieve our unemployment rate, and improve the atmosphere and quality of life in the city of Racine.

Now that you know the reasoning behind the movement, you're probably wondering how we'd get a team and which league they would play in. Well, currently, the most viable options for a Racine team are the independent Frontier League (ranging from O'Fallon, Missouri to Washington, Pennsylvania and from Traverse City, Michigan to Marion, Illinois-nearby rivals would include the Windy City Thunderbolts, Rockford Riverhawks, Kalamazoo Kings, Traverse City Beach Bums, Southern Illinois (Marion) Miners, Gateway (Sauget, IL) Grizzlies, and River City (O'Fallon, MO) Rascals), the fellow independent Northern League (ranging from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Kansas City, Kansas and from Fargo, North Dakota to Gary, Indiana-nearby rivals would be the Chicagoland trio of the Schaumburg Flyers, Joliet Jackhammers, Gary-Southshore RailCats, and Lake County Fielders), and the NCAA-sanctioned summer collegiate Northwoods League (nearby rivals would be the Madison Mallards, Green Bay Bullfrogs, La Crosse Loggers, Eau Claire Express, Wisconsin (Wausau) Woodchucks-wow, five teams in Wisconsin!) Our hope is to find an ownership group that would either purchase an expansion franchise for Racine or purchase an existing one and relocate it to Racine.

Where would such a team play, you may ask? At least the first three will require that a new ballpark be built sooner or later; as the FL and NrL would require a new ballpark be built before a team could begin play, the NwL option could accomidate historic Horlick Field (former home to the Belles and current home to the RBC teams) being the team's home for the first season with additional bleachers being added, while the new ballpark would be under construction and completed for Year Two.

7. Emergency Request for a Child in Need

We, The Undersigned, wish to note a child’s right for parental presence during critical care. We kindly request an emergency release of federal inmate, Brandon Bauknecht from the Sandstone, Minnesota facility.

Two year old, Hayden Bauknecht excitedly attended a birthday party at the local aquatic center on March 15, 2009. Many heard his laughter and saw his innocent care-free life as he played. His childlike faith assured him that he would always remain safe. Yet, faith failed the naive child. The party came to a devastating halt when the toddler’s playful body was found motionless in the pool. Breathless and silent, he was transported to the pediatric intensive care unit in Marshfield, where he remains in critical condition.

8. Help blues guitarist prodigy Tallan Latz perform in Bars and clubs

Music, like any other art form, finds its true meaning through public exposure, and its artists, the musicians, often feel the most validated through their public performances.

'T-Man' Tallan Latz, a 9 year old blues guitar prodigy, is being denied public performances in bars due to his young age. He started the guitar at the age of 4 and in less than 3 years has managed to perform countless times in bars and clubs saving up for college. His virtuosity has earned him to play in the infamous Chicago's House of Blues as well as jam with major names like Jackson Browne and Les Paul.

In the summer of 2008, Carl Latz, Tallan's father, received a letter from the state of Wisconsin informing him that his son could not play his regular venues anymore as a result of an anonymous e-mail sent to state officials complaining that he was violating child labor laws by performing in taverns as a minor.

The law states that no one under the age of 16 can perform in a 'roadhouse, cabaret, dance hall, tavern, night club, or any other similar place', although minors are allowed to drink under the supervision of a parent. So Tallan's dad can buy his 9 year old son a beer, but as soon as he hands him his guitar, it is considered child endangerment.

Let us also note that shortly before this letter was anonymously sent to a state official, Tallan's booking agent received threat letters urging her to stop booking his gigs. Tallan's genius is not only being repressed by laws blindly applied, but also by frustrated people who are wary of seeing a young musician succeed with such ease.

As the youngest blues performer in the world, Tallan's unique talent deserves to be encouraged and recognized by all possible means instead of restricted. If such a law is to be enforced when there is clearly no sign of child abuse, and both the child and his parents are obviously consenting, then that law needs to be changed.

9. SAVE THE WISONSIN RIVER

THE WISCONSIN RIVER IS A NARROW, AND IN MOST PLACES SHALLOW. IT USED TO BE A QUIET, PLEASANT RIVER TO TRAVEL ON AND LIVE NEAR.

NOW THE JET BOATS RACE UP AND DOWN THE RIVER TURNING 360 DEGREE CIRCLES AT FAST SPEEDS AND POWER STOPS LEAVING HUGE WAKES AND NOISE BEHIND THEM RESULTING IN SHORE EROSION FROM WAVES, WILDLIFE ABOVE AND BELOW THE WATERS SURFACE DISTURBED.

THE WISCONSIN RIVER IS NOT LARGE ENOUGH FOR A BOAT OF THIS SIZE. THE WAVES ARE HUGE FROM THESE BOATS CAUSING OTHER BOATS IN SOME CASES WATER COMES OVER THE EDGES OF OTHER FISHING BOATS, KAYAKS, AND CANOES. THE JET BOATS ARE NOT SAFE OR ENVIROMENTLY FRIENDLY TO THIS RIVER.

PLEASE HELP BEFORE ANY MORE DAMAGE CAN BE DONE.

12. Culvers Noise, National & 147th, New Berlin, WI

January 27, 2006

1. The noise from the parking lot of Culvers in New Berlin at 14855 W. National Avenue is excessive, particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings.

2. Noise includes things like shouting, honking, air horns, car stereos, subwoofers, etc.

3. Culvers has received several complaints from at least one resident (myself, Holly Schwartz) if not more and they fail to take action to keep their customers in control on their premises.

4. The solution proposed in this petition is for City Officials and Local Law Enforcement to take action against Culvers and any patrons found guilty of violating noise statutes.

13. Make Wisconsin Civil Servants accountable for there actions

Human Services of Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Madison and Racine as well as representatives of the state of Wisconsin have put themselves above the law.

For example, 1st Mistake, they were supposed to deduct $1,112.00 I was paying for childcare for my disabled daughter from her income of $1,158.00 in order to determine a cost share - they did not. This mistake cost my 13 year old daughter $2,816. This is the total cost share I did pay and should not have.

14. Save Wisconsin Cats from Hunters

On April 11, 2005, the Wisconsin Conservation Congress had their annual spring meeting. One of the issues addressed was whether or not to adopt a law to make feral and domestic cats an "unprotected species" meaning that cats could be shot on sight if they were not wearing a collar. As anyone knows, a collar on your cat will NOT prevent someone from shooting it if they want to. They will merely destroy the collar after they have killed the cat.

The meetings were primarily attended by hunters and, thus, those FOR the proposition exceeded those of us against it.

The meeting of April 11th did not reflect the opinions of the majority of Wisconsin taxpayers as the majority of the persons attending the meetings were hunters, not the average citizen.

We are opposed to a law making feral and domestic cats an "unprotected species" as this will not only endanger our pets, it will also make it legal for people to do anything they want to these defenseless animals.

We need to let the Governor and our legislators know that the Conservation Congress does NOT speak for the majority of the citizens of this State. We cannot allow the hunters here to make our laws.

15. Abolish False Convictions in Madison Wisconsin!!!

Why do police and detectives get away with brute force, threats and entrapment? Allegations and incidents that are not true, false arrests and bogus charges. There really isn't much to say as far as history goes this is prevalent and is really hitting home here in Wisconsin.

This has been the case all over the world but in a "civilized " Country like America it is something to be questioned.

17. The PAL (Planetary Ambassador Legislation) Initiative

The PAL Initiative seeks to open a national dialogue concerning mankind's inevitable collision with alien life forms. It is our belief that, WE THE PEOPLE, should play a pivotal role in
deciding how such an event may be planned for and enacted.

If we ever encounter an alien civilization, let's put our best foot forward… and send a resident from Wisconsin!

Only your voice will ensure that you are represented when, eventually, we do encounter an alien race.

18. Get Our Teachers Better Contracts in Wisconsin Rapids School District

Our teachers in Wisconsin Rapids, WI and various other states have been on the same contract for the past 3 years. I as a student at Lincoln High School feel that this is wrong. I mean I have worked at a resturaunt for a little over a year and have had 3 raises. Personally, I feel that educators deserve to be respected and treated the way we want to be. I wonder how long politicians would be in office if there was no money in it, don't you? Therefore, due to the fact that teachers must put up with unruly school children, pranks, and even work extra hours in order to help us, the younger generation to learn the facts that will help us succeed in life; I believe we should help our teachers by signing this petition and giving it to the Wisconsin Rapids Board of Education.

20. John Maloney Deserves A New Trial

April 9, 2001

John Maloney was wrongfully convicted of killing his wife in 1999. There is compelling evidence that her death was accidental and no crime was committed in the first place. Unfortunately, neither the jury nor the judge heard this evidence.

John Maloney's lawyer had a movie deal in his pocket, so he deliberately ignored and suppressed this evidence in order to follow the script of the movie.

John Maloney sits in prison to promote the careers of the prosecutor and his own lawyer. This petition will be used for two purposes: to gain public support over the Internet and elsewhere, and to specifically request the same judge who sentenced him--and who was denied full information--to give him a new trial. John Maloney and everyone else that believes in him, wants his name cleared of this mockery of justice.

Please read the facts at http://johnmaloney.org and sign this petition to show your support. And always remember "An INJUSTICE anywhere, is a threat to JUSTICE everywhere!" We hope to put a stop to injustice in Green Bay, Wisconsin and throughout the country.
