1. 2 all way stop signs on Kirby between Dufferin and Keele
Two all-way-stop signs were added today(February 1, 2012) to Kirby road. The adjacent roads are Ravineview and Foot Hills.
Even before signs were installed today (February 1, 2012) the traffic on Kirby was very heavy, especially during rush hour. Now its just unbearable: there is way to go by Teston road through from Keele to Dufferin (and back), everyone have to go to Kirby or MacKenzie. MacKenzie is pretty much a parking lot during rush hour, so obvious choice is (was before stop signs) Kirby. Because of those two all way stop signs thousands of cars have to stop (every one of them) during rush hour for no particular reason.
Its obvious that Kirby is the main road (compared to Ravineview and Foot Hills, where all way stop was installed). Rabineviwe and Foot Hills are very minor / local roads, because of them its unreasonable to stop all the traffic that goes on Kirby. These two all way stop signs DON'T SOLVE the problem, but rather worsening it.
Stopping every every car on obvious main road is ABSURD and (sorry) boarding insanity. There are WAY TOO MANY all way stop signs on Canadian roads to add more and more.
If you don't remove it, I expect to see stop signs on Yonge, Bathurst and Dufferin and ultimately on 404, 407, 401 and 400 highways in a few years (this is how bad it is).
2. Stop sign for intersection of county road 24 and county road I, Cuming County, Nebraska
3 boys were killed in a auto crash at the intersection of county road 24 and county road I, in Cuming County, Nebraska.
At this intersection you come over a hill and there is the intersection with a stop sign. We are trying to get Cuming County to put up a stop ahead sign. They tell us there is no need.
Many people say they have ran that stop sign because they don't know it is there until drivers top the hill.
3. Clean up under Viaduct, Stop Signs, Speed Bumps, No Outlet Sign
This is a newly developed area and are in desperate need of cleaning up the area:
Such as the Viaduct that is on 25th and Senour Street which is falling apart. Debris underneath the Viaduct and No Pedestrian Walkway.
Speed Bumps on Senour/Mary/Hillock Street. Stop Sign on Mary and Hillock Street.
No Outlet Sign on Hillock/Mary Street and No Outlet Sign on Stark Street.
4. 4 Way Stop at 304th Street and 170th Ave
Currently there is a 2 way stop at the corner of 304th St and 170th Ave. There are accidently almost daily at that corner because no obeys the stop sign.
On May 10, 2007 a driver passed the stop sign and neglected to stop. The driver hit another car and that car lost control of the vechile which ended up hitting my house. Luckily no one was injured but my home was seriously damamged in the accident.
As a homeowner and tax payer I am feed up with all of the accidents on this corner. Something needs to be done about this before someone gets seriously injured.
5. Consturction of a New Black Top Road on Welch Road
July 24, 2006
We the Undersigned request that Welch Road in The State Of Michigan, Leelanau County, Empire Township be rebuilt with a new black top to enclude a walking and bike path on the shoulder.
This road connects the main roads of M-22 and M-109 so we recieve a lot of walking and Bicycle individuals and groups.
We also request that a stop sign be placed on the south side of Harrigar Road where it intersects with Welch Road.
People going west or east have a hard time seeing to the north and is a possible accident waiting to happen.
A Stop sign to reduce the amount of speeding.
Many memebers of the Cheswolde community of Baltimore City, are distressed over the amount of speeding in our neighborhoods. The following do herby petition the Department of Transportation of Baltimore City to erect a three-way stop sign, at the intersection of Hanson avenue and Woodcrest avenue.
The residents of Kedron Hills would like to see a 4-way stop at the intersection of Astoria Lane, Euclid Court and Creston Hill. It is one of the busiest school bus stops in the neighborhood and installing two more stop sighns would greatly deminish the probability of accidents and or fatalities involving children.
8. Four-Way Stop Sign at Thames Street and Ann Street
We are requesting that a four-way Stop Sign to irrected at the intersections of Thames Street and Ann Street, Ingersoll, Ontario.
It is a very dangerous intersection for crossing, and confusing for both drivers and pedestrians. This intersection would benefit a Four-Way Stop Sign for many reasons, most importantly the safety of our neighbourhood and school children crossing at this intersection.
9. Request for Stop Sign at intersection of Thelma and Judson
There have been numerous automobile accidents at the intersection of Thelma Drive and Judson Road in Olmos Park. Installation of a four-way stop sign would greatly diminish the probability of further accidents and/or fatalities.
