Petition Tag - open campus
We believe that seniors at Barnstable High School deserve to have an open campus when it concerns leaving the school to attend lunch around the town.
As of the 2008-09 year, seniors do not have many privileges, and we fully believe that an open campus during lunch block would benefit seniors for the future.
I think most, if not all of the students would agree that an open campus is a good idea.
2. Keep The Campus Open At Northport High School 
The campus at Northport High School has been an open campus since it was originally opened.
Now for the first time, the Board of Education is trying to close the campus. We would like for the campus to remain open, and ask for your help in getting this accomplished.
3. Investing In Our Future Leaders
The parents, school faculty, and concerned citizens of McCormick County are asking for a new High School to be built.
The current High School is out-dated and over 5o years old.
The open campus is a high security risk for our students and faculty.
4. Closed Campus Lunch for Freshmen of Coronado High School
At the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year, Lubbock implemented a district wide campus restructuring. This restructuring moved our 6th grade students from elementary to the Junior High and our 9th grade students to the High Schools.
Coronado High School offers the open campus concept lunch to all grade levels including the new freshmen class. This is open campus lunch concept has caused issues with our young children and has exposed them to many things that threaten their safety. They are loitering at business in the vicinity of the high school. They are meeting up with people that are not students of Coronado. Many of these people are over the age of 18, selling drugs to these students as well as influencing their behavior.
As parents, we are responsible for the protection of our children and must take every opportunity available to do this. Coronado closing the campus to the freshmen class at lunch is one way we can insure the safety of our children.
