Are you tired of stupid MTV shows like Teen Mom, Awkward, 16 and Pregnant and Teen Wolf?
Do you want back music videos? How about Punk'd without that stupid person they call Justin Beiber, and bring back Ashton Kutcher?
Teen Mom is a show originally aired on MTV. This show portrays teen mom's lives, struggles, and successes. It is an educational documentary that has proven it can lower the rate of teen pregnancy.
Prevention is the key and this show can prove to young teens around the world that using protection is the way to go! Not only is this documentary educational, but the viewers have learned to love the cast.
We have all become fond of every single cast member and would love to continue to support them through their life journeys.
MTV -The Valleys is described by its makers as, “The Only Way is Essex, Geordie Shore and Made In Chelsea - but Welsh”. True North, the company who have won the commission to produce this programme state, “The True North team love what they do - they respect the people they work with and they put money on screen.” Geordie Shore featured its participants’ drunkenness, vomiting, ridiculous conversation, nudity and sex - is this the content of a respectful TV company’s product?
True North want to put money on screen from South Wales in this instance. Potential show members are flattered with hand delivered postcards in clubs and bars which read, ‘You’ve Been Spotted.’ This looks-based selection process taps into the idea that being a Cheryl or Ashley-Cole-Alike is a viable and aspirational goal.
Not only is the show advancing the empty ambition of celebrity, it misunderstands and will no doubt misrepresent The Valleys. It is moving young people twenty miles along the A470 to live in a shared Cardiff house for five weeks - a city the majority already frequent. Will they suggest all people who live in Welsh towns and villages rarely leave them?
On-screen coverage of South Wales often features the most run-down areas, opinions gleaned from the least broad minded, cumulatively leading to a negative, skewed vision of the area by those outside.
There is a surfeit of successful, highly educated, hardworking and eloquent people of all ages in and from the South Wales Valleys, who do not wish to appear drunk or naked on national TV. They aren’t the ones who will appear.
The contestants will have been cast by True North Production Company to make money and increase ratings. The South Wales Valley stereotype will be perpetuated. The Welsh stereotype will be propagated. The idea of vanity and fame as a career path will be given a helping hand, potentially inspiring a whole host of Welsh youngsters to avoid academia and concentrate on implants and hair extensions instead.
Stripped down, MTV The Valleys is about business people manipulating and exploiting human beings – and a nation - in order to make money – how can this be allowed to take place?

4. Stop MTV before it ruins our youths 
The future looks bleak for the youths of today. The shows on MTV are teaching us to be for lack of a better words, idiotic. For example: Teen Mom, allowing it seem okay to get pregnant at 16 without real consequences only fame and fortune.
Jersey Shore, Laguna beach, The Hills etc. all show that partying and cat fights are a way of life. Our planet is slowly dying and if we continue to teach the future generations the unrealistic values shown on this station imagine how much worse the world is going to be for our children's children.
5. Renew Undergrads To Another Season
Undergrads is an animated television series centered on the lives of four college undergraduate freshmen. Originally broadcast on MTV during 2001, only thirteen episodes were created. It has since been shown on Comedy Central in the United States, Teletoon in Canada, and Trouble in the United Kingdom.
The show was conceived by Pete Williams, when he dropped out of college at the age of 19. He does most of the voices on the show. The series was produced by David McGrath.
We can no longer support the dumbing down agenda of America. This show exploits not only the Italian youth in America, but alcoholic debauchery, unsafe sex, drug usage, domestic violence and profanity of all kinds. There are no morals or ethics.
Big egos, lack of intelligence, and shallow pursuits are not what this generation or the younger generations should be looking up to or aspiring to be.
Enough is enough of allowing this trash to continue while the Jersey Shore makes millions of dollars, our economy is falling.
Hard working Americans are losing their homes, children are starving, politicians corrupt. We must turn our attentions to more constructive pursuits & causes.

8. We are fans of MTV's Cara Maria
Do you love MTV's Cara Maria Sorbello? I certainly do. Between her unique personality, her awesome sense of humor, and her unmatched sex appeal who would blame you? Not to mention a natural athletic ability too earning herself the fastest 40 yard dash time (6.13) and most pull ups (6) doing more than 3x as many as the next closest female competitor (Laurel) and only one rep behind Pete in MTV's Fresh Meat 2.
Often called a "victim" or perceived as a weak competitor by critics but riddle me this haters: can someone who has finished 2nd in two of the last three Challenges, gone a combined 3-0 every time she's had to face a Gulag or Jungle, and has been a part of six team challenge victories (five with the gray team and one with team black) really be a "weak link"? I think not! Because even in the cases where she wasn't the best competitor she never quit or punked out during a challenge because it was "too high" or claimed to be a god only to literally have to be carried on his partner's back or sell her soul in order to gain favor in the house.
Even if you still think she's "weak" or a "victim" after all of these facts, what you can't deny is that Cara Maria gives 100% every single time she's out there and always provides the best commentary in her confessionals. Now that's just damn good tv!
9. Wreckless Behavior Hurts - Remove "Skins" from Network
In a fragile yet technologically driven society where severe independence and emotions rule the "nation" of our youth's culture; it becomes clear and evident that unconditional love, responsibility and accountability must be the heartbeat of the adult world.
The influence of media with our youth is increasing by the day luring them into a fallible world where the abnormal becomes normal. Sex, drugs, alcohol, and bullying have become the order of the day. From the National Institute on Media & Family to the A.C. Nielson Company, a global marketing research firm, statistics have repeatedly shown us that our youth are being affected and infected by what they see and hear.
I am petitioning for the removal of "Skins" a premiering TV series on the MTV network. The show glorifies wreckless behavior through the repeated display of teens enjoying sex, drugs, alcohol and other activities. MTV's own summary admits, "Skins is a wild ride through the lives of a group of high school friends stumbling through the mine field of adolescence... and stepping on most of the mines as they go".
TV shows have the right to address social issues but not without proper scales and balances. The compass of life truths through family and community values are necessary to help this generation cautiously navigate through life.
How much farther can media contribute to the self-destruction of our future America?
An accolade from a youth in the success of such a show is not a true sign of success. Must we forget that they can only speak from the level of maturity and perception of the world according to where they are?
They are in need of us; our discipline, our love and identification and we are failing them.
10. Bring Music Videos Back to MTV
On August 1, 1981 a new era in music began. It was the date of the launch of MTV (Music Television), a t.v. station devoted to playing music videos 24/7. Various artists found success on MTV which translated to the Billboard Charts.
However, as of late MTV began playing less and less music videos and more "reality" shows, much to the chagrin of viewers and the music community. Now the only the on time when one can watch a block of music videos on the supposed Music Television is between 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. What was once a great way for artists to spread there music became a channel devoted to bad reality shows.
This is a petition aiming to reinstate the MTV2 show 120 Minutes to the MTV Europe schedules after being axed in January 2009. 120 Minutes is a 2 hour slot showcasing underground/eclectic/truly alternative music videos from the past and present. At present, there are no alternative outlets on TV avaliable for the vast majority of the music videos aired on 120 Minutes if the show is cancelled.

12. Nuyoricans Against MTV's True Life
MTV recently aired an episode called "True Life: I'm a Nuyorican" which featured the stories of three young people living with this cultural identity.
All three individuals chosen reinforced negative and socially damaging stereotypes to this culture as well as other Latino communities.
There was no balance or wholly accurate representation of the Nuyorican community, a term which is derived from the Literary and Artistic Movement begun in the 1970's and continued to present day.
The documentary was discriminatory, negative, myopic and detrimental to the perception of this community.
This petition was started to help a beloved dance group called A.S.I.I.D. They originated from Detroit, MI, but traveled all the way to Los Angeles, CA to be on America's Best Dance Crew! Then they were stripped of their spotlight MUCH too soon!
We are trying to get people to notice that this phenominal group deserved more than 15 minutes of fame. Support ASIID!
MTV is planning to remake the infamous cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show and many are against it, even the writer and stars of the original film.
15. Prevent the Massacre of a Cult Classic!
In 1975, a film called The Rocky Horror Picture Show forever changed the face of cinema. What started as a low-budget theatrical flop has become one of the most well-known cult classic films in the entire world.
In 2005, this film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry in the Library of Congress for being "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant.
And now, MTV, blinded by its own delusions of grandeur and apparently completely out of original ideas, is in talks to remake the cult classic with a "newer, hipper cast". The original screenplay will still be the basis of the film, but new music will reportedly be introduced to the soundtrack, thereby completely changing the integrity of the film.
This. Needs. To. STOP! MTV will never be able to recreate the magic that surrounded this movie, nor will any performer that frequents any production that was created by MTV be able to even come close to replicating the defining performances given by the original cast.

16. Kill MTV
As many of you know, MTV plays little else except reality shows and rap music videos. I understand that there are actually people who watch this garbage and love every minute of it.
However, the letters "MTV," last time I checked, stands for "Musical Television." On the other hand, all THEY seem to stand for is pathetic broadcasting that has absolutely NO point in existence.
And before you 15 year olds think that this is some old fart trying to "ruin your fun," I too, am a teenager. I just think it's time someone spoke up about this issue.

19. Bring Back Everyone's Favorite Shows
Remember when you were a kid? I do. I remember shows like, "Are you afraid of the dark" & "So Weird" etc. But what ever happened to them?
They took them off the air so that now we can watch shows that are so dumb that we just don't wanna watch TV anymore.
Well I've got some news for them if you want these shows back sign this or e-mail me the shows you want & I will start a petition for them as well. If we get enough people to sign this maybe they might put these shows back on air.

21. Restore MTV-X!!
Another outlet for Rap was reintroduced by MTV called MTV-J or MTV Jams. This channel is dedicated to Rap, Hip-Hop & R&B, which is played 24/7. MTV owns VH1; under that umbrella is a plethora of channels that already cater to the Rap/Hip-Hop genre: VH1 Soul, BET, MTV-H, & MTV2. This genre has taken over the airwaves, which reigns on the aforementioned channels while Rock/Metal videos take a back seat.
By us not having a voice, we have very limited choices/outlets for us to see the kind of music videos we love. Currently, Rock/Metal fan only have 4 outlets, all of which split time with other genres: 1). MTV/M2, usually after midnight; 2). Headbangers Ball, aired for 2 hours on Saturdays; 3). VH1 Classic (Metal hour); 4). Fuse. In other words the voice of the Rock/Metal fan is not being heard by the powers that be, the MTV/Viacom Execs.
I, for one, would love to see MTV-X back on the throne. Deciding action was needed, not sit back, and take it...again, I called MTV and spoke to someone in Programming. They said a poll was distributed to get a feel for the popularity of X & whether or not to discontinue the channel. DO ANY OF YOU REMEMBER THIS? I sure don't! If the poll were in plain site a fight would have ensued to keep the doors of "X " open. The poll was undoubtedly in the shadows like the channel itself. "X" was not highly advertised like other MTV venues nor was it available to the masses. One needed to be a subscriber to a specific cable provider in order to view the channel.
Recap: we, the Rock/Metal fan, do not have an outlet available to us that shows videos or related programming 24/7 like other genres. We got Headbangers Ball back, why not go that extra mile to get OUR channel back, MTV-X? By rallying together as ONE unified voice & by signing the petition, we will stand together as one. With enough signatures, this denotes interest, which the Execs at MTV said we were lacking. I WANT MY MTV-X!!! Let's get "X" back on the air AND available to the masses! Sign the petition!
