1. Campaign for Public Hospital in Melton 
Melton Shire is the second fastest growing municipality in Australia and urgently needs more health services.
For our current population and future residents in our new growth areas it is vital to have better health service options.
Residents of Melton travel to Bacchus Marsh or Sunshine Hospital for treatment which can be a risk to their health
2. Save ICA Melton Colleges, Melbourne
ICA Melton Colleges are being sold off and their new way of education is being destroyed.
The schools are in high demand and financially viable and have over 600 kids, 400 families, 2 schools across 2 major Melbourne growth corridors. Western Suburbs in Melbourne need good schools. Over the least three years, this school has been shown to have the best education model in the area and the latest NAPLAN results are proof !
The government has taken a bold step forward when it recognised the need for more schools to secure the future of the next generation of Australians. Our Prime Minister Julia Gillard has recently committed $500 Million dollars to Indonesian schools. We simply ask that you don't let our own schools schools to close.
Keep the EDUCATION REVOLUTION alive and support our efforts to keep the schools open.
This is more than just a school. It is a community that is passionate and care about what kind of future we are creating for our children. Don't turn your back on our children's education now.

With the expansion of the Shire of Melton there has been an increase in demand for ADSL internet, this has caused severe congestion which results in slower than dialup speeds during peak hours.
4. Install Crash Barriers on the Eastbound A63 at Melton, East Yorkshire
Pedestrians who walk along the busy A63 from Melton towards South Hunsley School have no protection from the traffic in the form of Crash Barriers.
The passing cars can travel at speeds of up to 70mph and as the main road into the city of Hull from the west, these barriers should be in place.
We are four boys aged 10 trying to get something done for our community. If we can see the danger why can't our council?
5. No to Melton Mowbray Magistrates' Court closure
The Coalition Government are consulting on a proposal to close the Melton Mowbray Magistrates' Court and to move all cases to Loughborough. This will
Make access to justice for the public more difficult and expensive.
Waste more police time as they will have to travel to Loughborough to give evidence
Cost more in solictors fees as they spend time travelling
Lead to the eventual closure of the county court in Melton
Make reporting of Melton cases more difficult
6. Save the Co-op Garage, Melton Mowbray
The Co-op garage in Kings Road, Melton Mowbray is set to shut on Friday 12th March 2010 after the Midlands Co-Operative decided it could not keep it open, as reported in the Melton Times on Thursday 4th March 2010 (http://www.meltontimes.co.uk/news/Coop-shuts-popular-garage.6121503.jp).
The staff of the garage would like to continue trading on the site but if the Midlands Co-Operative close the site rather than transferring ownership as a going concern, they may not be able to obtain the appropriate VOSA approval to continue.
Many people I have spoken to are extremely disappointed by this very late breaking news and this petition is for people to show their support for the staff of the garage and encourage the Midlands Co-Operative to make all attempts to allow the garage to continue trading. I have been a loyal customer of the site since I moved to Melton 9 years ago and would be very sad to see the closure of the most reliable and trustworthy garage I have ever had the pleasure of using.
