1. Stop Negative Media Ads by Conservative Party in Canada
Stephen Harper and the Conservative Party of Canada are using donations and tax revenue to post negative, misleading attack ads. These ads are pervasive in all forms of the media including TV, internet and radio. They even take place outside of election periods.
Rather than promoting a positive agenda, they make fun in a derisive and false way their opponents. This should stop now as Canada and Canadians should and do hold themselves to a higher standard.
We the people of the United States of America, the land of the free and the home of the brave, are here together as one voice.
We stand together as Republicans, Democrats, Conservatives, Liberals, Libertarians, and Freedom Fighters. We come together from all different beliefs, races, and sexes but we all believe in America. We stand together as friends, we stand together as family, and we stand together as a country.
We ask that you not let the voice of the American people die, and that you restore the belief in our people, so that our great nation may inspire the world all over again. We work as firemen, nurses, cab drivers, teachers, cops, cooks, and customer services representatives. We work at schools, restaurants, and hospitals. We work for the city, for the state, and for the country.
It is our understanding that Republican Presidential candidate Congressman Ron Paul has achieved a plurality of delegates in a minimum of five states. We are asking as one voice that you make our republican convention fair by giving Dr. Ron Paul a speaking slot at the convention. The world has taken notice of this election.
Let us not become a joke to them, but rather an example of the integrity of our great nation. Let the convention showcase the two great leaders from our republican side, that one may emerge to contest Barack Obama. Let us showcase to the world, on the greatest of stages, what a republic looks like.
3. Mr Ghiz, you're cut off! Time to Go!
I think it is time that we as Islanders take a stand against this government and their strategies to reduce debt (Just to be clear — because Sheridan is not — the P.E.I. government is not implementing the HST so that Islanders may pay less in total taxes. Oh, no. Budget projections suggest the combined HST will bring in about $25 million a year in new taxes.)
I think we are making it harder and harder for the common Islander to make a very basic living in this province. The HST is coming in on basic needs. There are Islanders now who can't afford to feed families, but let's tax them higher and make it so that they cannot eat at all. There are breakfast programs in the schools because it was identified that there were children coming to school hungry. What is next? Dinner programs? And a CPI increase on other taxes? How many Islanders got a CPI increase on their pay?
And if we all have to cut ~3% each year, what will this look like for the common Islander? Will it mean that they turn the heat down even lower in their homes? Do they eventually freeze? Do we take more food from the table of families? Do providers come in to access medical services because they are so stressed due to the fact that they can no longer provide for their families? Do people become forced to choose to do without life saving medications because they have to pay tax instead? How long did it take the PEI government to create this deficit they talk about? And they want to eliminate it in three years. On who's back, do you think?
Time to send a strong message to this PEI government! We have a voice. Let's use it!!
4. WJJG is For Smart Shows Only
Not only did 2011 see the sudden death of Joe Gentile, but the removal of intelligent programming and music from weekdays (and even parts of the weekend).
It is totally unfair to get rid of Angry White Male, Job Talk, John DiVita's Morning Show, and other programming that made WJJG an amazing radio station.
Mancow should not be on at all. He is incoherent and his show does not belong on a community radio station like WJJG. Michael Savage should be aired in two hours or removed too, and sent back to WIND.
If you believe that WJJG should continue with original programming and music during weekdays, please sign this petition. This is an outrage and we need to keep whatever we have left of special radio stations like WJJG.
5. STOP THE PLANNED CHANGES TO THE DISABILITY LIVING ALLOWANCE
The UK Government plans to making drastic changes to the Disability Living Allowance including taking away many of the current travel concessions thus leaving many disabled UK Citizen's housebound.
Whilst we at the National Liberal Party would understand a "means" test to assist in stopping benefit fraud, we oppose the changes being put forward by the UK Government and would ask you to support us on getting these changes stopped.

Following this support from all over Australia. The Australian people are saying no to a carbon tax.
We are asking the Gillard Goverment to go to an Election on this.
7. Unify the NDP and LIBERAL PARTY OF CANADA
We are asking the leadership of the NDP and LIBERAL PARTY OF CANADA to seriously consider the unification of the parties for the well being of our country.
8. End Lib-Dem cooperation with the Coalition
A coalition is when two or more parties in government work together, either because of similar ideology or to achieve an elective majority, theoretically reaching compromises on important subjects to achieve a roughly even legislative record (issue #1 goes to party A, issue #2 goes to party B in exchange. It's not ideal, but both parties get something they want).
This coalition fails in both of those regards.
The Lib-Dems do not, and should not, have even a remotely similar political ideology to the Conservative Party. Similarly, the Tories have little to nothing in common with the Lib-Dems, and compromises on major issues have been non-existent. Instead, only a series of humiliating concessions have been made, and the Prime Minister has seen fit to lend his weight to sabotaging even these, as has been made clear with the referendum.
This is not a coalition, it is a Tory government masquerading as a coalition, pinning the blame for their actions on the Liberal Democrats whilst slowly eating their electoral base.
It is a state of affairs that cannot continue, and thus the Liberal Democrats must salvage what is left of their reputation and leave this ship of government before they are nailed to the mast. They do not deserve the criticisms aimed at them, and if they are to avoid decimation at the next election they must realise their mistake early, pull out, and assume a campaign of coordinated blocking of the government's supposed-reforms until concessions are made on major points of Lib-Dem policy and tangible results are produced as a result.
9. Rare Disorders Support from Canadian Political Parties
Rare disorders affect about 1 in 12 persons, or 2.7 million Canadians. These people are Canada’s most vulnerable citizens and need your support. We are requesting that the political parties of Canada answer the following three questions on rare diseases in Canada.
Your name will be sent along with this petition to the political parties of Canada.
10. Safe Distances between Ontario Residents and Industrial Wind Turbines
The Liberal Government have established 550 meter setbacks from the homes of Ontario residents without performing any health studies. Europe is calling for 1.5km to 5.0km setbacks to reduce the adverse health affects.
In Ontario there are over 110 residents who are experiencing adverse health affects from Industrial Wind Turbines and The Liberal Government continues to deny the adverse health affects and won’t even visit the homes of people impacted. Some homes have been abandoned and others bought out by Wind Developers after legal action.
People are sick all over the world from wind turbines and Ontario must also increase the distances to protect health and property values. Please sign our petition to increase wind turbine setback distances.
11. Support Fluffy's Law ( Bill 218 ) In Manitoba
Bill 218 or Fluffy’s Law is meant to provide landlords and their tenants with legislation to guide them in dealing with the often controversial topic of pet ownership in rental properties. There are numerous studies that show that owning a pet has measurable health benefits including increased physical fitness and lower incidents of depression. These benefits are especially pronounced in seniors who are most often tenants and frequently live alone.
The Winnipeg Humane Society has endorsed Bill 218 citing the growing number of pets that are surrendered each year due to a lack of pet-friendly rental properties in Manitoba.
Nearly each and every day our shelter faces the upset of owners turning over their pets due to a no-pet policy. Frankly I find it baffling that landlords are being so shortsighted and hard-headed on this issue. We have learned that in the 11 years Fluffy’s Law has taken effect in Ontario, only 1% of the 800,000 complaints received annually by their rental tribunal are pet related.
12. Dissolve the new Australian Parliament
The result of the Australian Federal election of 2010 was an absolute farce and a major insult to Democracy. A country that is proud of its ability to enforce a Government that is fair to all, has suffered for probably the first time in these circumstances.
The election determined that no political party was able to form a majority government. This meant that any independents were able to control who would take up office and form the Government. However, the four independents that was in this position decided to milk it all for what it is worth; big noting themselves in order to improve their careers and bank balance. (One example that should be noted is MP Tony Windsor, who was offered by Labor to take up the position of speaker in the House of Representatives, reflected in his decision to back Labor).
Another example that brings this to bear is the admission by two particular independents that if an election were to be re-held, the Coalition would almost assuredly win. This proves that those independent MP’s know that the census of the citizens of Australia WANT the Coalition to be in power as opposed to Labor. And by the independents backing Labor, is evidence of their inability to represent the people of this country, and also evidence of their personal agendas.
This petition will be a show of support that the Australian Democratic System needs to be overhauled to prevent this from happening again in future elections. But it also is a show of support for a re-election of Federal Government to take place to determine the party that the citizens of Australia want in power.
13. Build Australia's Broadband Future
Australia is in dire need of a New Broadband infrastructure as the current network is not adequate for home and business use. By not implementing the NBN you are holding back Australian businesses from achieving there best in a worldwide marketplace.
The Labor Government has said The NBN will be Australia’s first national wholesale-only open access, high speed broadband platform. They will use Fibre Optic Cables which will replace the Old existing Copper Telstra Network. Labor has pledged to set up online consultations with GPs, allowing regional patients to see a doctor without leaving their home, while NBN Co chief Mike Quigley revealed last week that the NBN would be capable of internet speeds of up to 1Gbps, 100 times faster than originally believed.
The Coalition has proposed investing in a combination of technologies, including fibre optic, cable and wireless, to bring a minimum speed of 12Mbps to 97% of Australians. $1 billion public grant funding and additional, undisclosed private funding for building a wireless network for rural and regional areas
$1 billion on building a metropolitan wireless network focussed on outer metropolitan areas. Rural and Regional Areas would miss out on Fiber Optic and only be provided with Wireless or Satellite Access.
14. Cancellation of Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleveland Show
Family Guy is NO LONGER FUNNY! American Dad has never been. And the Cleveland Show should never have been started. It is Offensive. The Offensive Sarah Palin's family joke. Peter's horse breeder and stewie eating cereal with Horse Sperm. Bonnie being pregnant from 1999 until 2008. Meg being the butt of every joke and abused, made fun of, kicked around. etc. etc.
There is nothing funny in American Dad to begin with. NOTHING! The Cleveland Show is a sloppy, piece of garbage thrown together so stereotypically and racist it should never have aired in the first place.
15. The Forestry 5 ( CEP ) Calls for an Election On Forestry Issues
Canada's largest forestry union calling on the Liberal Party of Canada to defeat the Conservative government if there is no clear support for the forestry industry.
OTTAWA, June 14 /CNW Telbec/ - Canada's 300,000 forestry workers and their families are facing the most severe crisis since the Great Depression. "The Conservative Party has given us nothing but rumours of help, and phantom promises." says Dave Coles, President of the Communication Energy and Paperworkers Union (CEP), which represents 60,000 forestry workers.
CEP Meeting with Jim Flaherty, Federal Finance Minister
OTTAWA (June 3, 2009).
Call them the Forestry Five-union leaders who came from across the country to confront the Minister of Finance. The Forestry Five had his full attention for two dramatic reasons-the first was an old fashioned and very effective occupation of 7 Conservative MPs and Ministers constituency offices.
The leaders flying the green CEP flag were Dave Coles, President of CEP, and Gaétan Ménard, Secretary Treasurer of CEP, along with VPs Bob Huget, Ervan Cronk, and Jim Britton. The Forestry Five met with Finance Minister Jim Flaherty, Jean-Pierre Blackburn, Minister of National Revenue, and six Parliamentary staffers.
16. No Confidence In Westminster
Our "politicians" and "business" leaders are criminals and criminals are not going to pass laws against themselves.
17. Demand Alan Ferguson apologise for Genocide denial
On March 18 2009, Alan Ferguson, Australian Liberal Senator for South Australia criticized the Hon Michael Atkinson for stating that "The nationalist Turks led by Mustafa Kemal's forces and their frenzied followers began to persecute them through beatings, murder, forced marches and labour, theft of their properties and livelihood, rape, torture and deportations."
Alan Ferguson goes on, in reference to the above comment, to say "We can all rewrite history" calling the issue "debatable" and stating that the Pontic Greeks and Armenians are "trying to put today's moral judgement on events that took place 100 years ago."
18. Don't endorse RINO Specter for Re-election
Whereas, Arlen Specter has failed to support many of the core values held by most Republicans;
and whereas, Arlen Specter failed to support former President Ronald Reagan’s appointment of Robert Bork to the U.S. Supreme Court;
and whereas, Arlen Specter supports controversial liberal judges,
and whereas, liberal Arlen Specter supported President Clinton with his outlandish “not proven” vote
and whereas, Arlen Specter at supports liberal Democrats over Conservative Republicans for re-election,
and whereas, liberal Arlen Specter has NOT been a dependable supporter of President George W. Bush and has many times undermined the policies of President Bush,
and Whereas, Arlen Specter has defied the will of the Republican State committee,
and whereas, Senator Specter has voted for 6 major tax increases, including 3 that were the largest in history at the time of their passage. In addition, he has been rated as the second worst Republican Senator by the fiscal watchdog group, Citizens Against Government Waste
whereas, Arlen Specter support the 753 Billion Obama Pork "stimulus" package,
whereas, Arlen Specter supports the "Employee Free Choice Act" and opposes voluntary unionism and consistantly votes against Right to Work legislation,
Marriage is a sacred gift, sanctioned by God Himself. As such, marriage must be held in the highest regard, kept safe from those who would sully the institution.
According the the National Center for Policy Analysis, "no region of the United States has a higher divorce rate than the Bible Belt. Nearly half of all marriages break up, but the divorce rates in these southern states are roughly 50 percent above the national average."
According to George Barna Research Group, Massachusetts has the lowest divorce rate among all 50 states, a reliably progressive state.
9 of the 10 lowest divorce rates are in the Northeast states.
The Associated Press, using data supplied by the US Census Bureau, found that the highest divorce rates are to be found in the Bible Belt. The AP report stated that "the divorce rates in these conservative states are roughly 50 percent above the national average of 4.2 per thousand people."
(Boston Globe, Oct 31, 2004)
By banning marriage for those citizens that describe themselves as conservative, we will drastically stem our nation's divorce rate and thus, protect the sanctity of this most holy of covenants.
Stephane Dion and the Liberal Party of Canada are proposing a Carbon Tax that will raise the tax you pay on everything.
21. Immediately axe Troy Buswell as WA Liberal Party Leader!
Troy Buswell admitted to "sniffing the chair" of a female at a meeting. He was described as making sexual noises, and writhing around in mock pleasure after completing this humilating act in front of this female colleague and others.
He has previously snapped a bra of a female in a work environment.
His mysoginistic, disgusting behaviour towards women SHOULD NOT be tolerated. This is the man who MAY be elected to lead our state and be in charge of policy affecting women. He shows a lack of respect, complete immaturity, and deaming, sexualising behaviour towards women. How would he handle domestic violence policy? How would he handle sexual harrassment policy when he has admitted to being a perpertrator!
THIS MAN NEEDS TO BE AXED IMMEDIATELY.
22. Petition to Senator John McCain
Tell Senator McCain to support conservative principles.
Not Ted Kennedy and Barack Obama.
23. Demand Rite Aid Corporation CEO to get congress and the President to enact HR 676
Today in America companies distort the legislation process with contributions and lobbyists.
Therefore in order to get action done needed for the people, we the people need to take our petition to some of the companies that give money to legislators and the President of the United States.
24. Make SRS Available on Medicare
At present neither of the major parties running for the 2007 Election have any policy relating to been committed to continuing and/or extending the Medicare benefits available to transgender people undergoing gender re-assignment.
The only political party that supports this are the Greens. As much as this is majorly supported it however makes no difference unless they hold a balance of power.
It's up to groups such as the Greens along with affiliated groups to try to implement change by having these changes supported by the government of the day. Neither major party has any concrete policies in place to address GLBT issues such as SRS and its time they did.
This Petition is to support the right for TG people to undergo SRS through the Medicare sytem.
In alot of cases TG's go through life unable to afford the cost of correcting a genetic error and rarely get the support they need. It's time this changed.
25. We demand this progressive agenda
The Republican party through history from about 1920 has hampered the progress of America. They have conducted nonproductive witch hunts, stifled economic compassion for the less fortunate, flouted the rule of law, and have gotten us into a needless war based upon lies, for oil.
26. Free David Hicks
David Hicks is being held against the Geneva convention, without a fair trial or hard evidence against him.
27. Australia should sign the Kyoto agreement
The climate is changing and we need to be aware of what is going to happen in our future and find ways to prevent it because it's not a case of If it happens but When it happens.
More floods are predicted, intense storms, heat waves and storms. A rise of 1.4 to 5.8 degrees Celsius is expected throughout the globe in the next 100 years.
John Howard has refused to sign up to Kyoto untill all the other countries do. Reports show that if we don’t act now, the world will face a depression worse than that of 1930.
We do need to act now, we need Australia to cut its greenhouse gas emissions and we need to do this by signing on to Kyoto.
28. Urge U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer to Run for President of the United States in 2008
This is a petition to urge the Honorable Barbara Boxer to run for the office of President of the United States of America in the 2008 U.S. presidential election.
Barbara Boxer is one of the greatest American politicians today. She has steadfastly stood up for the core progressive values of liberty, equality, justice, compassion and truth, even when she has had to stand alone and face overwhelming odds.
When numerous reports of voting irregularities and fraud in the 2004 U.S. presidential election in the pivotal State of Ohio started to emerge on weblogs and 'dissident' websites, when the mainstream media utterly failed to report, let alone investigate those stories, and the State and Federal Governments tried as hard as they could to cover up the truth of what had happened, it was Barbara Boxer who became the sole member of the U.S. Senate to demand accountability from the Republican establishment by signing a Congressional objection to the certification of Ohio's Electoral College votes on January 6, 2005 and articulating those concerns before a national audience.
When Condoleezza Rice was expecting a smooth and triumphant passage through the Senate Foreign Relations Committee's confirmation hearings on her nomination to become U.S. Secretary of State, it was Barbara Boxer who challenged her outright to admit to misleading the nation, while taking part in the political campaign to sell the Bush Administration's criminal intent to invade Iraq, and advocating the use of torture against detainees.
When George W. Bush asked the U.S. Congress to authorize his long premeditated invasion and occupation of Iraq, Barbara Boxer was one of the few proud members of the Senate to perceive his true agenda, and oppose granting him such authority. She has consistently spoken out against the war, while at the same time working to ensure that the sacrifice of our brave men and women in uniform is being duly honored and rewarded.
Barbara Boxer has been a champion of women's rights, environmental protection, job creation, fiscal responsibility, medical research, educational opportunities for all, and has unfailingly stood up for the poor and the vulnerable.
Barbara Boxer has made mistakes, no doubt, but she has been willing to recognize and acknowledge her mistakes, and to do what she can to correct them. That is the mark of a true progressive.
It is therefore a privilege for us to ask the Honorable Barbara Boxer to run for the office of President of the United States of America in the 2008 U.S. presidential election, and to make the following pledge:
29. Do not force a new Canadian election!
Dear Honourable Stephen Harper and associate Members of Parliament;
As stated in the Globe and Mail, on Thursday April 28th, 2005, the honourable Stephen Harper will move to bring a no-confidence vote against the liberal government in the following month. Such an action has dire consequences for both Canadian Democracy, and the faith one has in Canadian Politics.
Although this faith has been repeatedly shattered, given the claims of corruption brought forth in regards to the sponsership scandal and the Gomery inquiry, forcing an election prior to the release of the report would undermine Canadian's ability to judge for themselves whether the Liberal government has lost the 'moral authority' to govern. While there is much anger with the Liberal Government, in Quebec and throughout Canada, for the sake of democracy, Canadians must be able to judge for themselves the scope of the injustice of the sponsership scandal. As a result, an election should not be forced until the Gomery Report has been produced.
Secondly, such an election would be a waste of both time that lawmakers could spend doing their job, as well as of the taxpayers money. Millions were lost in the sponsership scandal, but just how many more millions would be lost in an election that would produce near-identical results as the previous one. It is highly doubtful that given the divided support of Canadians an election would result in anything other than another minority government. As a result, it would be likley that such an election would produce a conservative or liberal minority government to be toppled once again a year or so after its formation. In other words, the question must arise, "Why must an election be held now?"
It is obvious that the Conservative Party's answer to this is that the liberal government has lost all moral authority to govern. However, this sponsership scandal is hardly new to this minority government, as it was equally an issue in the previous federal election of 2004. The only change is the production of the Gomery report revealing the details of the scandal. And that is exactly why the federal election should wait until at the very least the entire report has been released. Let the Canadian people see for themselves the details of the corruption first hand. There should be no reason for the Canadian people to have to rely on the media's point of view of the Gomery inquiry. It should be released to the public PRIOR to any move for a federal election.
Finally, in June 2004, the Canadian people expressed their wish to have a divided parliament. There was no clear majority, which proves to the legistlature that the Canadian people are divided. The Canadian elected the LIBERAL party as GOVERNING party, the CONSERVATIVE party as OPPOSITION, and both the NEW DEMOCRATIC PARTY and PARTI BLOC QUEBECOIS as significant but smaller OPPOSITION parties. Therefore, each of these parties should work towards comprimises which BEST REFLECT the WILL of the Canadian People. A Minority Parliament is an expression of the Canadain People's desire for comprimise.
30. Call to Peter King to stand as Independent candidate for Federal seat of Wentworth
Peter King has been the Liberal Party sitting member of the Australian House of Representives for the Sydney seat of Wentworth since 2001. Despite his outstanding performance and the support of the residents, he failed to gain Liberal Party pre-selection for the upcoming elections.
This is a call for Peter King to stand as an Independent so he can continue to represent the people of Wentworth.
