Our country needs to be more aware of and look into the uses of industrial hemp for our economy. There are so many benefits from it and the different components that the hemp plant offers.
The seeds become oil used in soap, cosmetics, paints, varnishes, and even biodiesel; which can eliminate our country's dependency on foreign oil.
The fibers from the hemp plant can be used for textiles, clothing, canvas, rope, paper, and composite fibers; eliminating the use for fiberglass.
The hurds of the hemp plants can be used for paper, animal bedding, oil absorbent, chemicals, plastics and fuels. Hemp has a growing cycle of 12-14 weeks to create the substances needed for all of these products in our economy whereas you wait hundreds of years just to chop down a tree for these things.
