2. Save Energy First

Home retrofit incentives; Three-year continuation of home retrofit incentive programs from 2012 through 2015.

The global economy is struggling and Canadian governments want to create jobs and build a foundation for growth. A three-year commitment to continue popular home retrofit incentive programs is an ideal first step, because it:

•Creates jobs immediately in all communities across Canada, reduces government deficits, and delivers long-term benefits for Canadian families including lower energy bills, reduced pollution, and healthier, more comfortable homes.

•Maintains the existing capacity and industry confidence required to build a solid foundation for private sector growth of Canada’s home energy marketplace

There are many advantages to renewing home retrofit incentive programs for an additional three years:

•create jobs -- now and over the long term -- in all communities across Canada
•help families save energy, lower their energy bills and protect the environment
•reduce government deficits because retrofit incentive programs generate two dollars in tax revenue for every dollar invested by the government
•stimulate the economy at no cost to government
•improve health and comfort of Canadian homes
•reduce pollution and health-care costs
•combat the underground cash economy in home renovation services
•protect families, communities and Canada’s economy from rising energy prices
•generate economic activity in the same communities where homeowners live, creating local jobs and business for tradespeople, contractors and suppliers
•support innovation and private sector investment in Canada’s home energy saving industry.

4. Against Telecom Namibia's New Payment Incentives: 3g-Evdo Product

The 3G-EVDO is an internet product Telecom Namibia introduced last year. This product package included: A free wireless internet device, Connection fee of N$ 185 once off, an internet subscription fee of N$289pm for 550MB. And the out of bundle fee was N$1.30/MB when free bundles werenexceeded, even thou Telecom Namibia did not charge for the out of bundle until August 2009.

From August 2009 the new payment incentives for the out of bundle bandwidth were introduces, with a fee per MB lowered, but no OPTIONS for the customers of the 3G-EVDO product. Every customer with this product is bound to a 24months contract. When customers complain about the new payment incentives, the common phrase of "you signed a contract or its in your contract" is thrown our way.

This phrase has become the legal back-up excuse to impose customer to what-ever decisions are made. Clause in the contract signed regarding the 3G-EVDO last year are not denied by customers, but OPTIONS in reference to new payment incentives are denied to the customers. In the first place when this product was introduced, it was introduced as 550MB for N$289pm, that's the main reason why so many of us rushed out to get it, it was affordable and it could fit in our monthly budgets. Now that affordability is taken away with the new incentives: We want options.

5. Retain rural GP zones

The Federal Government was risking the health of rural people with plans to remove incentives for doctors practising in our local communities, said member for McEwen Fran Bailey.

Fran said local doctors would lose their rural retention grants from July 1 and a Federal Government audit of doctors outside Melbourne had sparked fears of a mass exodus of GPs from country areas.

The local MP, who continues to work with our communities to deliver access to GP incentive programs, has launched an online petition to beat down the Government's latest attack on country living.

"We must oppose any plan from Health Minister Roxon to wipe out the hard-won incentives to attract and keep highly-trained GPs in our communities," Fran said.

"This ridiculous plan to rezone most of our communities from rural to inner regional would be a savage blow by Ms Roxon and her Government against quality of life in our communities.

"Families and the elderly would be further disadvantaged by a government that has has walked away from its responsibilities on local child care, local community empowerment projects once funded under Regional Partnerships Program, refuses to fund important small projects at our schools and shuns increasing the fortnightly pension."

Fran said the removal of GP incentives in our growing local communities was poor policy from the Federal Government.

"Our communities and rural doctors can see the disastrous effect that will comes from axing incentives. They fear a mass exodus of doctors into metropolitan areas and our communities will be left stranded, struggling to cope with an even greater shortage of GPs and hospitals run down by the Victorian Labor Government," Fran said.

"But Minister Roxon has underestimated our communities and we will embarrass her into ditching any plan that takes a swipe at our way of life."

6. REFORM of the DEPARTMENT of PROTECTIVE & FAMILY SERVICES

Petition for the Reform of the Department of Family and Protective Services.

This Petition has been drafted and put together for the Purpose of forcing those in Officials Positions to ADDRESS and Appropriately deal with the issues surrounding the ABUSE of Parents, Families, and their Children by the very Governmental Agency designed and originally established to protect children, help, aide, and serve Families in need.

TOO MANY innocent families have already been destroyed for the financial gains of this greedy self-suiting Governmental Agency and it is long past the time for this ABUSE to STOP.

After reading the Petition, we are confident that you will AGREE that these ARE very needed changes, whether or not you or your family has been personally affected by a case with CPS (Child Protective Services).

If there were no real need for these such changes, then this Petition would have never been prepared for "your" support.

Please proceed now to the Petition.

THANK YOU~!
