I was honored to have handed a woman an almost brand new pair of Adidas in Redhook, Brooklyn while volunteering the other day. She was so happy.

GE not only contributes to the medical field, the first company to ever be assigned to its 50,000th patient, but also helps developing countries and war veterans. GE values creativity and imaginative thinking trying to improve the world one step at a time. GE makes environmentally friendly products, which are also energy efficient.
By exploring alternative energy sources and reducing gas emission by 30% this company is making great strides. The expansive growth in other countries also contributes to opening new jobs and markets to people in need. GE follows the principles in the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, meaning they believe in fair conduct of all workers and taking steps to make that happen by taking special precautions for its workers, making an environmentally safe and impact free work environment. GE is also the lead provider in advanced medical equipment, making them a necessity around the world.
GE, this year, has donated 2.1 million dollars to different organizations helping in Darfur. Overall, GE contributions to Africa exceed 20 million dollars. Each year, hundreds of employees from GE gather together to make communities better. These projects take place here in the U.S and over seas.
The employees reach over 1 million hours of volunteer work throughout the year, helping to once again better our communities. GE has started a Volunteers foundation, which works with local charity organizations and local communities. Recently GE has coordinated Paintfest, the largest volunteer effort ever underway.

3. Urine test for welfare checks
Like a lot of folks in this state I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.
In order to get that paycheck, I am requited to pass a random urine test, with which I have no problem.
4. RE-ELECT BLOOMBERG FOR FOR MAYOR OF NEW YORK BY REMOVING HIS TERM LIMITS

This petition is several years old. I started it in 2007 when I was speaking to people about trying to generate support to get bloomberg to run for a 3rd term. I was discouraged time and again by people telling me I was crazy and that, if anything, bloomberg would be making a run at the presidency. Turns out, I was a bit too early. I am ecstatic that bloomberg has decided he is interested in being our mayor.
I am interested in helping the bloomberg campaign, possibly obtaining a job helping the upcoming campaign. I would be happy to contribute this site to the official bloomberg campaign group. Otherwise, if they are not interested in this web address. I am open to other possiblities in working with , or possibly selling the domain to someone who is interested in owning and/or developing the site.
I am a life long new yorker, Columbia Law School graduate, and a former bankruptcy lawyer with Cadwalader Wickersham and Taft. I currently live in williamsburg, but I have lived in Canarsie, Staten Island, and at various locations over the west side of Manhattan. I have also lived in upstate New York in Binghamton , where I first attended College.

BLOOMBERG IS AN EXCELLENT MAYOR. New York City term limits prohibit him from running for a third or fourth term. As a result, we will be losing our greatest mayor in decades. New Yorkers should unite in a public referendum ballot initiative to repeal MAYORAL (and not city council member) term limits only for the next 2 terms so that Bloomberg can run for mayor 2 more times.
He is a very popular mayor and if he runs, he will likely get re-elected. The repeal will be only for the next two terms and subsequently will expire and term limits will go back into effect.
This petition is looking for support to bolster a hatchling campaign to gather signatures and petition the NYC clerk to put this issue on the ballot.
Your address is required because if this online petition is successful (30,000 signatures) we hope to mail you an official signature request form with a return address envelope postage paid which will be sent to the city clerk for verification.
I'm keeping this short and simple. We all know what's taking place right now as you read this, Canadian soldiers are SLAUGHTERING innocent people. Women, children, and men. These people are innocent and our soldiers, who were once peace keepers, are becoming as murderous as American troops.
How can we allow something like this? There were no terrorists in Canada! But there sure as hell will be if something isn't done. With every innocent person killed in Afghanistan, we create terrorists.
We have NO reason to be over there. I'm not saying this because I don't want peace in Afghanistan. I'm saying this because we're making things WORST by being there, not better. No peace can come from war.
Even the numbers say something's wrong :
10% of our money is being spent on helping the people there.
90% is being spent on weapons, tanks, etc.
$3,000,000,000 is being spent over there.
$300,000,000 of that is being spent on helping the people.
Lets not join America in being the bullies of the world.
Don't let our prime minister drag us into George Bush's mess. We're smarter than that, aren't we?

7. Stop the Slaughter, End the Pain

8. Save Font Contests on Neopets!
People, listen up! TNT (The Neopets Team) is being evil again and unless we do something about it, our font contests will be gone!

9. Leave St Helens House for training Adults and put your registry office in the Old Police Building
It is beyond belief that the St Helens House buidings are under threat of change of use. The concept of helping people who are less able to work or disabled in any way was founded in Derby at this address and has a good reputation of success helping those who help themselves advance or ready themselves for re-introduction into the workforce in Derby.
This will be a disasterous loss if the changes proposed by my Council take place in April 2004 and it is also preposterous that those working or training there had no idea, until it was let slip during a radio Derby broadcast. This building is also steeped in historical value and I challenge them that it is illegal to change the use of a listed building after it has received a preservation order. I beg the people of Derby to sign my petition to save this wonderfull historical building in its present form and use.
10. Bring x-men evolution back to the WB
A petition to bring x-men evolution back to the WB. we don't even know why it mysteriously dissapeared.

11. Stop the Hate! Domestic violence victims, and their children need support.
In this century we would like to see at least one mayor who does something about helping domestic violence victims, and their children.
You know what bettas are, dont you? They are those colorful fish with long fins you see in a small container in a PetStore. The size of the container they live in are only about the size and length of themselves! Now, picture YOU living in a small closet......thats about the same things bettas live in in petstores. Male bettas CAN NOT get along. Often people will bet on who's betta will win when they put the two together. Usually male bettas will fight until death, and sadly, usually both bettas die. Often female bettas get flushed down the toliet, or thrown in a trashcan. That is because they are not as beautiful as the males. Planet Radio 93.3 has recently canceled their Native Noise program in Jacksonville, FL, which would play all local music on the radio for two hours on a Sunday night. They have recently cancelled the program and have no intentions on bringing it back in the future. This could greatly affect the local music scene here in Jacksonville.
Without the support of a two hour show on the radio anymore, all the bands that are starting out in Jacksonville are going to suffer from a substantial lack of exposure. So to try and prevent the scene here from going down the tubes and drying up. If you could show your support for local music and sign this petition, the local music, here in Jacksonville, would be very grateful, as well as the fans that support local music.
