1. Change the way in which Penalty Charge Notices are issued across the UK 
Perhaps it is about time we changed how "parking enforcement" works. A completely new, friendly approach, not incentivised by money.
Each Council Ward can appoint its own group of "wardens", they may even be local volunteers, with the necessary powers to issue PCN's. Everyone in the ward will know who they are, and have their number to call if they have a problem. The point is however, that they will be welcoming, friendly sort of person, rather than the authoritarian set up we have now.
They will only issue tickets in the most extreme cases and will only issue a ticket as a last resort. The vast majority of PCN's issued currently are completely unnecessary and are purely issued to generate revenue - these would never get issued under this new arrangement.
I realise it may take some time to make these changes but they will be worth it if it encourages a more friendly local community.
In the UK at the moment you can steal and be fined less (or not at all), than the motorist who parks on the wrong line, displays the wrong permit, or just overstays his parking ticket. It is plainly very wrong and unfair.

2. Help Support Our Freedom Of Choice
The Declaration of Independence states:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
However, on January 2, 2010, after being signed into law by Governor Bev Perdue on May 19, 2009, North Carolina Session Law 2009-27 went into effect, banning smoking statewide in all bars and restaurants in North Carolina, as well as in government buildings and vehicles.
According to the bill, it is the intent of the General Assembly to protect the health of individuals in public places and places of employment and riding in State government vehicles from the risks related to secondhand smoke.
While NC SESSION LAW 2009-27 HOUSE BILL 2 is intended to protect smokers and non-smokers from the effects of secondhand smoke, this bill infringes on the personal rights and freedom of choice for business owners and their customers.
Although violation of this bill does not hold a criminal charge, the $200 per day fine for business owners that do not comply (in order to appeal to their loyal smoking clientele) will drastically hurt business profits in an already suffering economy. Customers in violation will also face a hefty fine of up to $50, which is a steep cover charge. Many smokers that are not ready to be “forced” to quit will opt to find forms of entertainment in an alternate environment, rather than supporting a discriminating non-smoking atmosphere and being made to feel like an outcast. It is very apparent that a number of the small businesses that work to make America what it is, are going to have a tough battle to even keep their doors open.
While it is completely understandable that non-smokers should have the right to gather in public locations and not be involuntarily exposed to secondhand smoke, it should also be understandable that smokers should be allowed the same right to assemble in locations clearly marked as smoker-friendly establishments.
It is critical that these decisions are allowed to be made by the business owners and customers that support them, rather than the government. It is the owner’s responsibility to serve their customers to the best of their ability. The income that they generate (or do not generate) directly affects their livelihood as well as state revenue via taxes needed to support government affairs.
Taken from Section 1 of the 14th Amendment: “No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States”
NC SESSION LAW 2009-27 HOUSE BILL 2 clearly conflicts with the above reference, by not allowing business owners to cater to the clientele of their choice.
Rights of choice are often not missed until they are gone, and rights that are not frequently used may not be missed at all by those that are not using them. However, a right of choice is one of the greatest attributes of this country. The right to choose to bear arms, the right to choose to speak freely, the right to choose to assemble, and so forth, may not be used by all of us, but a loss of any of these rights would be detrimental to all of us.
The 18th Amendment abolished our right to manufacture, sale, or transport intoxicating liquors within, the importation thereof into, or the exportation thereof from the United States and all territory subject to the jurisdiction thereof for beverage purposes. We stood up for our rights then, and repealed it with the 21st Amendment. Thanks to our alliance, we now have the right to responsibly enjoy a beverage of our choice.
The elimination of the right for a business owner to operate under their own business model, and cater to the customers of their choice is being taken away with NC SESSION LAW 2009-27 HOUSE BILL 2. This is an unconstitutional act, and I ask your help in saving this right, even if it is one that you do not use.

3. Comcast! We miss KBS World programs! Add MKtv!
As of November 1st, 2009 WMBC ended its broadcast of KBS World on digital channel 63.5. This service was free and only required a digital tuner connected to a television to be viewed within the metro NY/NJ area.
Two local cable companies-- Time Warner and Cablevision both offer a channel called MKtv which broadcasts many KBS World programs which are entertaining, educational, and family-friendly most of which offer english subtitles for non-Korean speakers.

Both of these providers are not offered in my town of residence. I am within the Comcast coverage area and I am sure that I am not the only one that want MKtv to be added to Comcast.
4. Start Doing Something for The Earth
This petition is to support the stand of eco-friendly activities/programmes like e.g recycling programme, BYOB campaigns, to be carried out and to encourage factories to stop releasing harmful gas emissions to the air, instead, they could release the harmful gas emissions towards the ground,as so to not pollute the air; causing respiratory problems for us and also to think of the well-being of the earth.
We ought to do start doing something now because this is our planet, we are earthlings of this planet, we bear the responsibility to take good care of the earth.
“Support Our Port” is committed to a multi-use Oshawa harbour for recreation and industry – bringing the greatest benefits to the city, and the people of Oshawa.
This would include the construction of an ethanol facility in the port of Oshawa to create jobs, support the local economy, and support farmers and the environment.
Producing ethanol in the Oshawa port would use local corn. It would be a source of greener, more environmentally-friendly energy and would inject millions of dollars into the city’s economy through new taxes.
6. Cleaner more ozone friendly energy sources
I know that it is very much need that we start taking more action to help save our ozone layer if we dont do something about this we will have global warming on our hands and everyone will be dead. I propose that we start using more ozone friendly resourses as power instead of fossil fuel. These resourses could include wind power, water power, clean electric power but it sould not be limited to these three. I really think we NEED to do this because if we dont then global warming will kill us all.
I want to live to see many more days without having to worry about this and i think that we sould really start thinking about the big picture: Can we go on doing what we are doing and not have this happen in the possible near future. I hope you take this as seriously as I do because I want are children to have a future.
7. Muscovy Ducks to be designated as a Florida native species
We, the undersigned, are calling for the abolition of cruelty to Muscovy Ducks in the State of Florida and asking that they are designated as a Florida Native species.
One of the main reasons the Muscovy duck was brought here several hundred years ago, was to help keep down the mosquito and bug population. There are billions of insects on an acre of land, and the Muscovy ducks are worth their weight in gold at eating mosquitoes and insects; including mosquito larva. They also eat flies, maggots and roaches.
Muscovies do not cause pollution in the water and do not cause algae... they eat it, they do not cause it.
The Muscovy duck is very friendly and loved by many people who take the time to get to know them. There are a lot of lies spread about these ducks. These ducks are not aggressive towards human beings in any way.
They also do not carry diseases. As any living person or creature, ducks can occasionally get ill, just as any bird of fowl can, this does not mean they carry diseases. They are also very clean and take from 3 to 10 baths a day. Their droppings are soft and wash down with a hose very easy, and is also very good fertilizer.
The Muscovy has the nicest character of any of the breeds with a pronounced sense of humour/ very intelligent and head of any escape committee !

**** Trappers do NOT relocate. They KILL. They drug them, maim them, and then gas them. Do not believe the ducks are being sent elsewhere
**** Muscovies are not a health hazard. Yes, they may poop on the driveway, but with a little care and patience and a working garden hose, the mess is cleaned up. There has never been a proven incidence where a duck has spread any disease. This is a myth.
**** They are environmentally helpful. They rid our yard of many insects including; mosquitoes and spiders. They also rid out yards of snakes, and small rodents.
**** They've been here in
Florida longer than we have! They settled here over 100 years ago.

We want these friendly ducks to be protected. We want to stop the abuse and killings of the Muscovy Ducks. We want to stop the trappers from abusing and killing the Muscovy Ducks.
We want the Muscovy Ducks to be declared native and be protected.
Egrets have only been here for about 50 years and they are protected, yet the Muscovy has been here for hundreds of years and is not protected. We are asking for the Muscovy Ducks to be a native species in the state of Florida.

8. Make the WWE more family friendly
This is a petition addressed to Vince McMahon CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, SpikeTV, and UPN networks. I have been watching Wrestling for the last 25 years of my life and I have watched it slowly go from a sport, to sports entertainment, to playboy TV. There are so many women on that show that dress in little or nothing that my young children can't even watch wrestling with me anymore. It used to be a weekly ritual where my family would sit down in front of the TV every Monday and Thursday nights to watch wrestling together but when the girls started parading around in lengerie I had no other choice but to stop letting my children watch. This has nothing to do with degrading women or that I think that the WWE is being sexist but they could try to tone it down for their younger veiwers who look up to the athletes on their shows and like to watch them. I am just a concerned Mom who just doesn't believe that my children should be watching shows like that because they are very young and impressionable and even the WWE needs to set a good example.
9. Save The Gorillas, stop mining Coltan!
This petition is to make major companies stop killing and destroying the gorilla habitiat for coltan, and also to create gorilla-friendly products.
Recent price rises of this ore has lead to wide scale unregulated mining of it in the forests of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the same forests that were home to 86% of the worlds eastern lowland gorillas.
The forests are being destroyed and gorillas are being killed and snared for 'bushmeat' to feed the hundreds of miners and to sell at markets. Recent reports indicate that up to 90% of eastern lowland gorillas may have been killed in the last 3 years. Fears are that without immediate political action, they may be headed towards an inescapable extinction.
