After reviewing this video and hearing his remarks that the subject of sexual abuse should be kept in the therapy room and the subject should be kept privately, I am a survivor and I am outraged.

It's people like he that do not want the truth coming out and believe me there are more and more of us out there than people who deny us think.

that Senator Gary Humphries engaged in acts contrary to the Commonwealth of Australia laws relating to the Racial Discrimination Act (1975) and its 1995 amendment the Racial Hatred Act by tabling a petition in the Senate calling for a moratorium on Muslims migrating to Australia and seeking a review of immigration policy to be undertaken to ensure priority is given to Christians.

4. I PROTEST (No to Human Rights Violations in Kashmir)

In Kashmir since 1989 more than 70,000 casualties and 8,000 + documented enforced disappearances have occurred all in the guise of draconian laws such as the Armed Forces Special Powers Act, AFSPA, which grants Indian paramilitary and police forces license to detain, shoot, and torture at will with virtual protection from being prosecuted by civilian courts and international bodies.

Yet, the international community and its media remains silent on documented civilian killings as well as fake encounter killings. The murders of several Kashmiri youth this past month by security forces clearly exhibits the widespread and systematic practice of shoot-to-kill strategies conducted by the state security apparatuses of India. Soldiers and state security forces are able to use bullets to combat stones and slogans under the protection of Indian security legislation.

Please help join the people from all over the world to put an end to this apathy. “ I Protest” is one such group that believes in Human Rights and Dignity for all. Let the powers to be know that you stand against Human Right Violations and will not be a party to it. Not on our watch today or ever… We as inhabitants of this world will not rest till Human Dignity is respected and honored everywhere. We refuse to be a silenced majority and demand the Government of India to stop and urge our respective representatives to act on our behalf and put an end to such outrageous crimes…please sign and pass on this petition to everyone you know. Every signature counts. Say NO TO HUMAN RIGHT VIOLATIONS.

5. Message In The Music: restrict and ban overtly sexual and violent lyrics over the daytime airways

This is STAND’s campaign wager to enact the FCC to restrict and ban overtly sexual and violent lyrics over the daytime airways. Stand’s concern is for the impact that the message in our music is having on America’s youth.

The United States Supreme Court has three criteria for material to be considered obscene. An obscenity cannot be aired for any reason at any time, and has no protection under free speech laws.

1. It must insight lust in the average individual.
2. It must illustrate sexual conduct.
3.It must be bereft of any intellectual value, as in it is not artistic, scientific, literary, or political. It must be obscene for the sake of obscenity.

To compromise the values of freedom of speech, and society's need for censorship, the FCC rules allow indecent content to be aired between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. local time. This time period is known as the 'safe harbor'.

Singing and music have always played an important role in learning and the communication of culture. Children learn from what their role models do and say. According to Susan Buttross, MD, and chief of child development and behavioral pediatrics at University of Mississippi Medical Center in an article by Web MD stated, “With any type of repeated media exposure, a desensitization can occur that makes dysfunction seem normal.”

6. Ban access to FaceBook site in Holy cities of Mecca and Medina

Freedom of speech is a right, but this right is not befitting of irrationality. It should be treated like any other right afforded by civil liberties: with responsibility. And when it is abused, an apology or some form of resolution is required.

Facebook's policy makes it clear that obscene content and the triggering of hate material toward any group, individual, or religion will be banned and removed. Last year, Facebook was quick to honour requests by Italian authorities to shut down a page dedicated to Massimo Tartaglia, the man who allegedly punched Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi at a political rally in Milan. While No such urgency found its way to the controversy behind the Removal of Group who call for drawing Images/Photos of Our Beloved Prophet.

According to its own terms, conditions, and precedents, Facebook should have removed the group much earlier which they didn't and this has raised huge anger and a great disappointment among every descent men and women.

9. Keep Free Speech in the University of Calgary

The University of Calgary recently attempted to censor and intimidate a group of its own students who wished to engage in a civil expression of their ideas by placing a pictorial display in a public area of campus.

Such lawful expression is guaranteed by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and is in keeping with the University’s own mission to “seek truth and disseminate knowledge.” Now that the University’s censorship and intimidation tactics have failed, it has decided to maliciously charge and prosecute the same students for trespassing. Ironically, the University has no institutional definition of offensive images and no rules for how to display sensitive material. The University’s actions are arbitrary and discriminatory.

The purpose of universities is to provide a safe environment in which students and faculty can freely explore various ideas and opinions in the pursuit of truth. This can only be done in an atmosphere of liberty and tolerance of all lawful expression. The University of Calgary has not only failed to adhere to standards set down by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and by its own mission statement, but has set aside the long-established tradition of Academic Freedom.

Insofar as the University of Calgary is a publicly-funded institution, it has also broken the public trust of all Albertans.

Manifesto from
Internet users and bloggers
who support rights and freedom of expression on the Internet
29 May 2008

Subject: A call for accountability from Thepthai Senpong and Thailand's Democrat Party, and a call for all netizens to safeguard our rights and freedom of expression on the Internet

Reference is made to the disclosure made by Thepthai Senpong, the Democrat Party’s Assistant Secretary-General, of 29 websites that are allegedly “dangerous websites” that have lèse majesté content. He demanded that government and the Minister of Information and Communication Technology take action against such websites. This story has been widely reported in the news media.

We, the undersigned, would like to express our stance on this issue as follows:

1. We believe that the right and freedom of expression, especially the expression of diverse viewpoints that differ from the establishment’s views, must be respected and protected.

Every democratic society that wishes to see peace and harmony must fully support and protect its people’s freedom of speech. Mutual respect and understanding is one of the most crucial ingredients of peace in a society in which members are different and diverse. The only way we can learn to move toward such goal of mutual respect and understanding is by fostering an environment in which everyone feels free to express his or her opinions fully and responsibly.

The door that leads us toward mutual respect and understanding will slam shut as soon as our mouths and hearts are silenced.

2. We disagree with using the monarchy as a tool to achieve political goals.

Most of the websites and blogs that Thepthai identified are not full of content or information that can be considered offensive to the monarchy. Many websites present information that are academic in nature, full of supporting data and rationale. Thepthai’s indiscriminating allegation that lumped all these websites into one category is therefore a gross error that resulted from the lack of thorough fact-checking, an easy way of putting pressure to silence differing opinions without regard to due process, a way of using the monarchy as a political tool to destroy political opponents, and instigate harmful discordance among Thai people. All of these points show an alarming lack of the democratic spirit.

14. Will You Show Up to the Free Speech Rally?

Never before in our nation's history have the civil liberties of Canadians been under such an assault as they are today.

Every day that we continue to live under the tyranny of the Human Rights Commissions and the other soft totalitarian organs of illiberal regimes is another day where the cost of removing their yoke will be that much higher - either for us, for our children, or for our grandchildren.

Canadians have never been much of a political or contentious people. We'd prefer to compromise and get along than to raise too much flak. That's just our nature.

Like any people, however, we have our limits. But unless we channel our frustration into real action and start to push back against the strong fascist elements currently assailing our country, the soft totalitarians of today will be the hard ones tomorrow.

Don't look to the next guy to do something about it. That's the approach that got us in this mess in the first place - people passing the buck instead of picking it up.

It's YOUR responsibility to stand up NOW and be counted. Because if you don't stand up now and do something, write something, or say something, the cost of recapturing our precious and eroded freedoms in the future will take more than just a pen.

And one more thing...this Rally is not just a "one-off". Our opponents are not going away so you can't either. The key here is VIGILANCE and TENACITY. Because if you don't have these traits or learn them quickly, you can kiss away our freedoms right now.

You know that line in our national anthem that says "Glorious, Strong, and Free"? It will be nothing more than a quaint punch line of a once free and proud people unless you do something to protect it and KEEP protecting it.

So if you please, sign below and indicate your endorsement AND participation in the rally.

Because, just like the song says we're supposed to do:

"We stand on guard for thee."

15. A Free Dominion Against the HRCs

1. Our purpose is to:

a) Offer moral support to Mark Steyn, Ezra Levant, and all prior victims of the so-called Canadian Human Rights Commissions;

b) Generate momentum and media attention to the plight of Canadians under the current oppressive "human rights" regimes;

c) Serve as a launching point for future action against the HRCs;

and

d) Create a sense of authentic Canadian unity in the fight for freedom of speech.

2. Get the word out! Use your e-mail lists, blog about it, talk it up on the discussion boards.

3. International support is most welcome. Since freedom of speech is being attacked in all Western countries, it is important that everyone is involved in its defense.

16. Keep Texas' Ten Commandments

Texas' capitol building grounds in Austin has a monument depicting the Ten Commandments on it -- on public property.

The Supreme Court will "rule" whether or not this is legal or not (more than likely, if Alabama & Roy Moore are a reminder, it will be "illegal"), so I've come up with an idea: students and concerned citizens who cherish our republican form of government who live in and around Ellis County, Texas (Waxahachie-county seat) must band together to fight for our U.S. Constitutional rights of free speech and the free exercise thereof.

There is nothing in the U.S. Constitution that prohibits a state from displaying a Ten Commandments monument, just as there is not a restriction barring construction workers from having portable bathrooms in public.

This petition serves as a voice for those who believe that this is a free speech issue.
