1. Make your Will mean something

In NSW, anyone can challenge your will. The Succession Act was introduced in 2006 and is now being reviewed by the NSW Department of Attorney General and Justice.

Wills mean nothing under this law. Family, ex-spouses and friends can challenge your Will which means your loved ones miss out and costs your estate thousands of dollars in legal fess trying to defend your wishes.

2. HELP MISSOURI PARENTS WITH DISOBEDIENT CHILDREN, CHANGE THE CYCLE!

HELP MISSOURI PARENTS WITH DISOBEDIENT CHILDREN, CHANGE THE CYCLE!

Parents are faced with impossible and unfair circumstances. If a child runs away, violates truancy, threatens or attacks their parent or parents the parent must in turn, continue a cycle of back/forth.
Our children’s defiance has grown out of control with disrespect and sometimes violence because the Missouri Dept of Social Services, Children’s Division has enabled this behavior at the cost of the parent.

A good parent goes above and beyond, doing whatever it takes to get their child inline; however, several parents are being faced with impossible unfair situations, while rearing or attempting to discipline their children. Some children believe they can fight their parents or run away and there is nothing the parents can do. Which at this point is very true. If a child runs away and the parent closes the door its neglect or abandonment, if the child isn’t attending school the parent can face criminal charges to include being placed in jail, etc.

*THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DICTATE THE RULES OF OUR HOUSEHOLDS, ESPECIALLY DEALING WITH DEFIANT CHILDREN! PETITION NOW, please sign.
Please take part in giving parents a voice and ask that the Missouri Officials over the Department of Social Services Children’s Division revise their goal to include better assistance for parents in need, rather than parents feeling threatened or numbed by these same goals set forth for the children.

For more information on the Missouri Dept of Social Services Children’s Division, Child Abuse and Neglect Goals go to: http://www.dss.mo.gov/re/pdf/can/cancy10.pdf

4. MINUSTAH should withdraw from Haiti

The MINUSTAH, well known as The United Nations Stabilisation Mission In Haiti, has been in operation since 2004. A year of political crisis, violence and corruption, led to the resignation of the President Jean Bertrand Aristide. But now they are seen like a threat to the human rights, and also to the Haitian People.

"Haiti is in great danger because among others of Cholera, of the poverty the marginalization and of the exploitation of its people " said the Nobel Peace Argentin Adolfo Pérez Esquivel in an interview with the Latino channel TeleSur.

Numerous incidents of rape and other forms of violence have been reported by victims of MINUSTAH... from the 16 years old girl in 2006 to the Haitian teenager (male) in 2011.

Three Nobel Peace, led by the Nobel Adolfo Pérez Esquivel from Argentine, hundreds of NGOs, legislators and personalities of more than forty countries sent to the Secretary General a letter released yesterday in which they requested the withdrawal of international troops of Haiti.

Join the fight if you believe in Peace and want to change the actual situation of Haiti.

5. Change The Winnipeg Jets Logo For The 2012/2013 Season

Since the NHL returned to Winnipeg for the 2011-2012 season, the topic for what the team's name should be called has become a hot topic for discussion. There has been a lot of history with the Winnipeg Jets from 1972 to 1996, so calling them anything else would have been a mistake. We are grateful that the True North Sports & Entertainment have decided to rename the team the Winnipeg Jets on June 24, 2011, but once we have learnt that they didn’t want to use the 1996 logo and update it, we believe that the current military logo was not right and a mistake. There is no disrespect for the military but it is not meant for a NHL logo. Many fans feel that this logo is too military for hockey and that there should only be one Canadian city that has a maple leaf on its logo. The logo does not have a modern look to it and many would describe it as unattractive.

Some of us were lucky enough to have watch Bobby Hull (the Golden Jet) play live in the Winnipeg Arena in the 1970’s. Some believe that the owners from the 1972 team decided to use the Jets name in honour of the Golden Jet who inspired us. In 1972, it had nothing to do with the Royal Canadian Air Forces in regards to the Jets name. The airplane in the left hand corner of the old logo represented the flowering of exploration and internationalism in the burgeoning age of affordable air travel, and the players that wore its jersey were part of an exciting fast skating, multi-national team that played a beautiful, tough, and creative brand of hockey. Some of the Jets alumni like Joe Daley and Ab McDonald have also been disappointed with the logo.

The Winnipeg Jets have a wonderful and meaningful history which should not be overlooked. We were the first North American team to beat the powerful Soviet National team, the first North American team to use Europeans, and the first North American team to play tournaments in Europe and Japan. For those of us that have been around to see these great players play in person at the Winnipeg Arena, it is no wonder why we honour the blue, red and white.

This team has meant so much to us and to our city. The Winnipeg Jets name represents a unique history with lots of great players who represented us and is recognized all over the world. An updated logo, jerseys, etc, would also provide plenty of new merchandising opportunities while still preserving our cherished heritage.

In closing, the Winnipeg Jets logo represents a lot of pride that we had with those early teams that carried our city’s name on their chests. The retro jerseys from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s have great meaning to us. This is largely because of our previous history. We would be missing a tremendous opportunity to re-establish a link to our storied past by not reviving the Winnipeg Jets logo and updating it. If the Winnipeg Jets never would have left Winnipeg, it would have probably had an updated logo today. It would only be fitting to continue the history of a franchise that was like no other.

7. Review administration of donation of Mr. Petros I. Tsiros to the Church of Cyprus

In 1984 Petros I. Tsiros passed away after making the biggest ever donation to the Church of Cyprus, a property donation believed to be worth by today’s value, of well over One Billion Euros (600 Million Cypriot Pounds), with the express written condition that the Church of Cyprus should use the profits from the sale and development of that land, for public charitable causes and every time such funds were used to announce that they originated from Petros I. Tsiros donation fund.

After thirty five or so years and hundreds of millions of proceeds from that donation, the people of Cyprus are still anxiously waiting for the first of such announcements and the handling of the donation has remained an enigma to many.

8. Give us a Referendum on Proportional Representation

The public are unhappy with the current voting system and the proposed AV system is too complicated and of little interest to the majority of the public as will be shown by today's low turn out. The public have become disenfranchised with politics and our patriotism has been shaken.

Many other countries with excellent governments and economies use Proportional Representation voting systems such as Party List Voting, e.g. Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Portugal and South Africa. It can be implemented simply with little if no additional costs. Other PR systems are still in use in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Germany on of the strongest economies in Europe. Voting turn out is getting lower and lower every election, the public are not happy with the current situation and revolts will become more common.

The public need to know and SEE their votes and opinions count, AV is not enough and people think you are not listening to them. They need honest politics where a coalition works together and is honest when they dislike or like the others policies. Please give us a referendum on PR so we can show you how we feel and listen to the results so we know you have our interests at heart.

9. EUROPE HAS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR MILLIONS OF STREET ANIMALS!

Right in the middle of Europe, millions of street animals are dying year in year out: in killing camps who call themselves animal shelters, or in “freedom” – of hunger, cold, diseases, poison.

Granted, you’ll find local laws forbidding the above – but often enough neither local authorities nor elements of the executive authorities do comply with the laws. Even the most barbarian cruelties to animals go without prosecution because it is not avenged, as a rule.

On December 1st, 2009 the treaty of Lisbon (so-called EU reformation treaty) became effective. The major agreement states that the Union and its member states have to take account of the well-being of the animals as feeling beings.

But the ratification of this treaty does not automatically imply the end of the brute widespread deaths.

This is why we need to suit the action to the word.

10. Charter Change

Those of us who so choose to be involved in our local city government should be afforded the right to do so. As business owners we pay city taxes, we support our schools and our local police, fire and emergency personnel.

The right to vote should be ours, we made a large investment in this city when we opened our business here and we hire a lot of it's workers. We should have the right to vote on the things that matter to our business as well.

The changes or the non changes that are made effect whether or not we stay or we relocate. The people who make the decisions for the city make the decisions with our future at stake as well. We should have our say in the progress and the direction that Pryor embarks on.

Quest Academy charter school sits on 4000 S in West Haven, UT. The speed limit in front of this school is 50 mph. This school is from K - 7 and within the next two years will go up to 9th grade. As this school grows as does the traffic problem.

Children, parents and caregivers are trying to cross the street, park and pull out of the parking lot and merge with the traffic already on that road. 50 mph is too fast of a speed lmit for any school let alone any business.

13. We Stand With David Pringle on raising the level of neglect awareness for children

Georgia is besieged by unwritten laws -- more mothers than fathers are granted custody of their children in the United States regardless if neglect is present or not. Children continue to suffer at varying levels that go with it — untreated infections, unsanitary conditions, mental and emotional abuse, and immoral influences. And the Federal government has done NOTHING to stop it.

More single mothers than fathers are in the news for killing their children. Fathers are having custody taken away despite hundreds of documents showing they are the primary caretaker for their children.

14. Laws and regulations related to inheritance changed IMMEDIATELY and RETROSPECTIVELY

Listed are the points raised with Ministry of Justice on 21/05/10:

1. The Wishes of Alan Edward Hindley regarding his estate are to be put in order and adhered to. (The will submitted is a forgery, signatures too).
2. A fully transparent and comprehensive investigation in to all matters relating to AEH’s demise and the mishandling of his estate (must include all parties involved at the time and since).
3. Investigations must be overseen by Government at ministerial level.
4. The law must penalise ALL those parties who have aided and abetted Wendy Hindley.
5. Laws must be changed now so that a Last Will and Testament is followed to the letter.
6. A person’s Human Rights to continue after death: If someone abuses the trust by misappropriating a persons belongings or wealth it is an offence; this stops after your final breath.
7. Severe penalties put into place so that abusers of executorships are punished by the state (criminal offence as well as civil).
8. Forgery of Wills to have appropriate Laws and very severe penalties, which are enforced by the state.
9. Changes to the inheritance laws to be retrospective.
10. Ministry of Justice to hold executors responsible.
11. Solicitors and other parties are now taking money under false pretences when they draft a will and do not advise their clients that executors can and do act as they wish; therefore they do not adhere to the deceased wishes and will. A will can be said to be not of merchantable quality because it is not fit for its purpose. The Law Society and solicitors to immediately stop advertising their services for drafting a will under the pretext that when they draft wills, they are resolute. (At present this is blatant misrepresentation because they know it is not so). Any will can be ‘broken’ within minutes should the executors wish it. Therefore it contravenes normal consumer laws.
12. Create a Central Bureau where wills can be deposited should people wish.

AOB
• Police – Are not answerable to anybody and nobody takes responsibility allowing corruption to take place at all levels – Police State!? Incompetent and/or corrupt officers must be brought to book. The same must be said for those members of the IPCC.

• IPCC – Are NOT independent (police officers investigating their own colleagues cannot possibly make them independent). This needs to be changed to fit its description.

• Bristol Probate Office - needs scrutiny; it has proved itself obstructive and unethical at the very least.

• Undertaker, Coroner and Doctor involved, also need close scrutiny.

16. Properly Regulate Alcohol Sales and Brown Bagging

This is our present city ordinance.

It shall be unlawful for a convenience store, service station or other type of retail establishment holding a permit authorizing the sale of beer and light wine for off-premises consumption to:

(1) To sell beer or light wine to any person between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Monday through Saturday, and between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
(2) To permit consumption of beer or light wine on the premises of the store or retail establishment.
(3) To sell, give or furnish beer or light wine to any person visibly intoxicated or to any insane person, or to any habitual drunkard, or to any person under the age of twenty (21) years.
(4) To permit on the premises any lewd, immoral, or improper entertainment, or conduct or practices.
(5) To permit or suffer gambling or the operation of games of chance upon the licensed premises unless otherwise allowed by the Mississippi Gaming Act.
(6) To receive, possess or sell on the premises any beverage of any kind or character containing more than five (5) percent alcohol by weight.
(7) To display or sell beer or light wine from an ice tub or similar container, other than a mechanical refrigeration unit.

This is our present city ordinance. There are some people in our community that would like to change the ordinance due to the fact they say we are losing much needed sales tax revenue to the county and Louisiana, where beer and light wine can be purchased all day, every day.

17. Boycott Casinos - Support Local Businesses & Green Jobs

Dear Friend,

The leadership on Beacon Hill is attempting to open the door to predatory gambling in Massachusetts. They have refused to conduct a proper study of the pros and cons of their proposals. The House passed its casino bill without holding public hearings.

They claim casinos will create jobs. But the facts show that casinos are jobs killers and community-busters. They drain so much money from the local economy that they kill 1.5 jobs for every one they create. And they saddle us with social problems that cost taxpayers $3 dollars for every $1 dollar in tax revenue.

Casinos are not part of the solution. We can create more jobs by investing in the energy-efficient green economy of the future. Casino jobs create addictions. Green jobs give us reliable energy, clean up the air, improve nutrition, reduce chronic disease, health costs, and avert the threat of climate change.

Sign our petition to ask the Massachusetts legislature to say NO to casino gambling.

18. YES to McDonald's Ocean Dr Port Macquarie

Amongst our Port management team we have 300 years of McDonald’s experience. Our people are at the heart of our business and as a nationally accredited training organisation we strive to provide all of our people with the flexibility they require at different life stages, as well as training and skills that will serve them well wherever their future decisions take them.

We do, however, take the issue seriously. Since the early 2000s McDonald’s has not only looked to provide choice - including healthier options - but to improve the nutritional value of all menu items. Examples include a change to low sugar (less than 5%) buns in 2004 and the change to a vegetable oil blend in 2004 which removed 9000 tonnes of saturated fat from the food industry. The subsequent move to a next generation canola oil blend removed more than 415 tonnes of trans fat from the Australian food supply.

Stripping away the misconceptions, we are a family restaurant that provides food and non-alcoholic beverages in a safe and comfortable environment.

As part of our development application to council planning experts, we have included independent traffic and acoustic reports which we encourage those in the community who have concerns about these issues to view.

A litter free environment is something we’re passionate about and we take every opportunity to remind our customers of the need to dispose of their litter thoughtfully. We also have a Litter Patrol Program in place which is a structured, regular task for our crew, and involves them picking up all litter from the restaurant grounds and its vicinity.

We fully intend to remain an engaged and proactive neighbour, and hope to receive your continued support moving forward.

19. Append the Usage Permissions for the Niles, MI Community Skate Park

Currently the usage rules for the Niles Community Skate Park prohibit the use of bicycles within the skate park. These rules effectively leave community BMX bicyclists with no venue to participate in their chosen sport; save for potential trespass and/or possible public property damage.

A preliminary conversation held with the Niles Board of Parks and Recreation yielded positive input and has lead to this formation of a public petition to address the request for a skate park rules change. Our effort is to allow rules to be changed to allow the use of bicycles within the skate park.

20. Coronial Juridiction for still-born babies

The Coroner cannot investigate any deaths of babies in utero - stillborn babies. No matter the circumstances or gestational age, a baby in one moment is not eligible for a Coronial Inquest and, a moment later (once a breath is taken), he or she is. Impact to parents, families and society is the same for a baby that is capable of independent life no matter whether a breath is taken. The Coroner's influence and powers is needed just the same: to investigate; to hold accountable; to bring awareness; to change. It is the institution that shines light on deaths of an unusual or concerning nature and recommends changes so these events don’t happen in the future.

Importantly, the number of stillbirth deaths has not changed, despite improvement in medical practice and technology, since the 1980s. And 30-35% of babies born still are said to have died of ‘causes unknown’. The Coroner’s Court can potentially help understand these deaths and ultimately motivate change.

So we seek a change to the Coroner’s Act so that these babies’ deaths can be under the jurisdiction of the Coroner’s Court.

24. PAFF (People Against Female Feticide)

Female Feticide is the act of killing a female fetus. A fetus is an unborn child within a womb of a mother. This is also called "child destruction".

Female Feticide is done because the parents do not want a duaghter. A daughter is considered worthless, useless, and very costly.

Sex-selective abortions were rare before the late 20th century, becasue of the diffuculty of determining the sex of the fetus before birth, but ultra sound has made such selection easier.

It is estimated that a killing of a female fetus occurs every 93 mins.

In Punjab, India about 130 aborted fuetuses are discovered every month. They are usually discovered in jars, hidden amongest the trees or bushes.

During a Miss India contest in 2008, one of the contestants was asked her opinon on female feticide, she responded by saying "I think it is the fastest method of reducing the indian population. I think that female feticide will bring goodness to India to reduce dust, pollution, and corruption in the future".

In the Guru Granthe Shiab (the Sikh Holy book) it is written "We are born of women. We are conceived in the womb of women. We are engaged and married to women. We make friendship with women and the lineage contined because of women. When one women dies, we take another one. We are bound the world through women. Why should we talk ill of her, who gives birth to kings? The man is born from women: there is none without her."

28. Citizens Against the Seven-Period School Day in NEISD

We the students of NEISD, in order to enhance our education, believe that the A/B schedule should be retained, and not switched to a seven-period day. As it is now, we have four periods a day, alternating classes every other day. Eight classes, each 90 minutes long.

If it were switched, we would go to seven periods every day, each roughly 45 minutes long. This would eliminate the eighth class, making it more difficult to take electives related to future occupational interests. In addition, shortening the classes would increase the homework load each day, which would lead to a decrease in interest and a lower homework completion rate. This increased homework would force students to stay awake late at night to complete work due the next day. Students would have less time to study in class and at home, and general performance would fall. This would not be very beneficial in moving towards our goal of becoming a "Distinguished Campus," and having a 95% attendance rate.

Finally, with more periods each day, there would be less time for passing between classes. As it is, going from the top floor of one building, across campus, and up to the top floor of the other building cuts the current eight minutes close. If it were shortened, there would be many more tardies, resulting in more students reaching the tardy limit and getting in trouble even further.

29. Preservation of Bushland at Edith Cowan University

Edith Cowan University management have no plans to maintain the majority of bushland areas on the university grounds. It is likely that these areas will be flattened for future development.

Why is this important?
- ECU campuses are known for their iconic Australian bushland surroundings.
- There are currently no intentions to preserve extensive areas of existing bushland at ECU Joondalup campus.
- Urbanisation is a major contributing factor toward climate change, clearing native bushland areas will promote an environmentally irresponsible image for ECU in this respect.
- The bushland areas support a range of native wildlife.
- The surrounding bushland at ECU provide a positive and relaxing learning environment for students.
- These areas are valued by the community outside of ECU.

Ensure the continued existence of bushland areas at all Edith Cowan University campuses by signing the online petition for protected Edith Cowan University bushland areas.
