1. Signing the petition to create laws and regulations asking those who raise money to fight cancer to declare what they will give in return in terms of reduction of cancer deaths and costs. Each project should provide an estimate supported by scientific arguments of the percentage of cancer death reduction the project expects to attain, how much the project costs, when the first results can be expected, and the plan to measure results on a sample population.

2. Making a contribution to improve transparency, accountability, and reduce spending that does not yield results by comparing research projects in the fight against cancer from all over the world.

3. Dedicating some of your time to create awareness by spreading the word about this document and its cause.

This document (available at www.UnitedToEndCancer.org/doc/100.pdf) has the objective to enlighten people how to make smart informed choices, by
• Analyzing together (provide any feed-back) the causes of premature deaths
• Identifying the top causes of premature deaths that can be PREVENTED.
• Studying how to save the highest number of lives with the lowest cost

For example, data from World Health Organization (see page 13) rank the mortality rate by cause of death, for the year 2008, from the highest (4.3 million death/year) to lowest (0.06 million death/year) in the following sequence: cancer, heart disease, accidents, respiratory infections, cerebrovascular disease, diarrhea, HIV/AIDS, respiratory disease, digestive diseases, tuberculosis, malaria, diabetes, was and civil conflict and Alzheimer-Parkinson-MS. Analyzing the first four causes of death: cancer, heart, malnutrition and accident, we have irrefutable data showing that early cancer detection can save lives in 90% to 98% of the cases. The money saved with a onetime surgery on a small tumor instead of the expensive prolonged painful chemotherapy treatments, could then be used to save lives from malnutrition which costs only $0.33 per person per day.

Instead cutting in half the number of premature deaths from heart disease is unlikely because its mortality has been already cut more than in half during the past 50 years and because we are not aware of new breakthroughs in this field. Similarly there are no known solutions to halve deaths from accidents unless one invests huge sums of money to improve viability and educating drivers in the world. Using a similar logic, I continue the analysis of how different early cancer diagnosis projects around the world should be compared and the most cost-effective funded in order to save more lives, reduce cancer costs that currently have reached $1.4 trillion/year and use the money saved to reduce malnutrition in the world.

This petition is proposing to create a bill and regulations that would save thousands of lives from premature cancer death by asking those who raises money to fight cancer, what they will provide in return in terms of reduction of cancer death and cost. (A separate request for funding and budget should address the issue to assist patients in their terminal phase or any other cancer project that is not targeted to reduce premature cancer death).

Cancer associations (or Government) who asks for money to fight cancer (or the Government that uses taxpayers dollars) should provide a link to a document describing the project that is aiming to reduce premature cancer death.

High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is known to be a contributor to obesity and a number of serious health ailments, but very few health experts and medical publications ever discuss the highly toxic substance hiding within a large percentage of HFCS — mercury.

This letter is in support of the more than more than 140 electronics workers in Korea who have developed cancer and other serious occupational diseases (more than 1/3 of whom have already died).

We will be presenting it to the Korean Government in order to support the court decision which ruled in favor of compensation for Samsung workers (but the government has filed an appeal in support of Samsung).

My baby sister was recently SUSPENDED from Lamar Middle School Lamar School District RE2, for wearing a "I <3 BOOBIES" bracelet, supporting breast cancer awareness among the younger crowd. She was sent home crying because they would not allow her to wear it.

Awareness means a lot to her and my entire family, if it wasn't for my mother being aware and getting checked last minute, her breast cancer would have been over looked and taken her life. She survived it, and we support the awareness in any which way possible.

Fact: Actonel and all other Bisphosphonates cause life threatening side effects, including deaths in Humans and Animals.

Fact: Actonel severe adverse side effects have been known and proven to occur, as early as, eight months in a patient, not to mention all other Bisphosphonates.

Fact: This Osteoporosis drug that breaks bones and cause cancer is combined and link to phosphorous/phosphonic, phosphonic acid and Phosphoric/phosphoric acid, along with formaldehyde, 1,4-dioxane, ethylene oxide and a host of other dangerous combined combination of drugs.

Like calcium, the bones need phosphorous to stay strong. However, ingesting Phosphonic acid/phosphorous or phosphoric acid in medication over time can cause phosphorous levels to climb too high. This will limit the amount of calcium the bones can absorb, which will lead to weak, breakable bones.

Phosphorus acids/white phosphorus erode the teeth and gums, leaving cavities that fill with bacterial infection producing pus, weakening the jaw bone, sometimes until the jaw abscess, rots and falls out. Surgical removal of the afflicted jaw bones was sometimes necessary to save the patient’s life. Otherwise, death from organ failure would invariably result. It is possible to develop this condition many years after having stopped taking the dangerous bisphosphonates.

White phosphorus is known as yellow phosphorus, red and black phosphorus can be converted to white phosphorus by heating it under pressure. Osteonecrosis of the jaw is not the first, but is known, as the second dangerous severe epidemic of phossy jaw, which was known as the first epidemic of bone cancer in the upper jaw and the jawbone in the 1800's.

The most chronic phosphorus poisoning is osteomyelitis of the jaw bones.

Phossy jaw is a form of bone cancer caused by bisphosphonate. Since the 1800’s the old disease, namely phossy jaw, name has been change. Phossy jaw new name is osteonecrosis of the jaw, which is also caused by bisphosphonate that contains white phosphorous.

Fact: A so called, small trace of Actonel’s dangerous chemical mixture, which contains, White phosphorous/phosphonic, crospovidone/polyvinylpyrrolidone, which contains formaldehyde, Polyethylene glycol, which contains formaldehyde, 1,4-dioxane and ethylene oxide, as well as, titanium dioxide, mixed with other small traces of dangerous chemicals and contaminants that cause cancer are excessively, dangerous and a deadly explosive pill for humans and animals to ingested.

NOTED: When humans and animals Ingested one dose of Actonel into their bodies, they have ingested 2 doses of formaldehyde (a chemical that is known to cause cancer), a dose of 1,4dioxane (a contaminants that may cause cancer), a dose of ethylene oxide (cause cancer), a dose of Phosphorous (causes bone cancer, bones to break, phossy jaw and Osteonecrosis of the jaw) along, with more doses of other dangerous toxic chemicals, as well.

Actonel risedronate and all other bisphosphonates must be taken off the market immediately, until more proven studies have been done to make these drugs safe for the consumers.

Pancreatic cancer kills 7,000 Brits every year. It is the fifth biggest cancer killer in the UK and a mere 3% survive more than 18 months after diagnosis... those figures have not changed since 1970! It is time that they did.

A number of studies show that THC provides medical benefits for cancer and AIDS patients by increasing appetite and decreasing nausea. It has also been shown to assist some glaucoma patients by reducing pressure within the eye, and is used in the form of cannabis by a number of multiple sclerosis patients, who use it to alleviate neuropathic pain and spasticity. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is currently supporting further research into these uses.

In August 2009 a phase IV clinical trial by the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel was started to investigate the effects of THC on post-traumatic stress disorders. THC and other cannabinoid agonists have been shown to be beneficial both in open label studies, as well as in laboratory experiments with animals to ameliorate post-traumatic stress disorders.

Preliminary research on synthetic THC has been conducted on patients with Tourette syndrome, with results suggesting that it may help in reducing nervous tics and urges by a significant degree. Research on twelve patients showed that Marinol reduced tics with no significant adverse effects. A six-week controlled study on 24 patients showed that the patients taking dronabinol had a significant reduction in tic severity without serious adverse effects. More significant reduction in tic severity was reported with longer treatment. No detrimental effects on cognitive functioning and a trend towards improvement in cognitive functioning were reported during and after treatment.

Dronabinol's usefulness as a treatment for TS cannot be determined until/unless longer controlled studies on larger samples are undertaken. Research on THC has shown that Cannabinoid receptors are responsible for mediated inhibition of dopamine release in the retina. A growing number of people around the world and in Canada are ingesting Hemp Oil, THC, and curing themselves of life threatening Cancers and other diseases in weeks.

The Liverpool Care Pathway, (LCP), is in widespread use in the UK. It is flawed and dangerous. The Daily Telegraph has referred to it as the Death Pathway. There have been calls from victims families to have it banned. The old are particularly vulnerable because many of the so-called signs that are looked for to put a patient on the death pathway, such as frailty and declining mobility, are symptomatic of old-age in any case.

In fact, age is one of the factors also taken into consideration in putting the patient on the LCP! This petition is to call for its withdrawal. Every patient is an individual and deserves that individual consideration of their condition.

As it stands, anyone who falls into the clutches of the proponents of LCP and ticks all the boxes will be given assisted passage into the next world care of the NHS. This will apply particularly to the elderly who are, in any case, already suffering from that most terminal of all conditions - Old-Age! This will apply even contrary to the expressed wishes of patient and family, as this family has discovered.

According to Dr Peter Hargreaves, Consultant in Palliative Medicine, P. H. Millard, Emeritus Professor of Geriatrics University of London and others, in the year 2007-2008 alone, 16.5 per cent of deaths came about after terminal sedation through the, quote, disturbing blanket application of the Liverpool Care Pathway being rolled out across the NHS in the UK.

Currently, an estimated 20,000 patients have their lives taken each year while receiving care under the LCP which also prohibits administering artificial nutrition and hydration to those assessed as dying and states that doing so is ethically indefensible and, in the case of patients lacking capacity, is prohibited under the Mental Health Act.

To my comments that my mothers life was taken at Caterham Dene Hospital where LCP is in use, the NMC responded that I am, quote, at liberty to contact the police.

My mother was robbed of her life through application of the Liverpool Care Pathway. NMC registrants at Caterham Dene Hospital, even by the standards set out by that flawed measure of who is and who is not at Deaths door, were far too zealous in the liberal helpings of morphine they doled out to my mother. The PCT were actually required to set in place new practices at the Dene in regard to analgesics and their use on ward.

Following widespread application of the LCP, relatives of many hospital, nursing home and residential care patients have watched in horror as their loved ones are kept under sedation and food and fluids are withdrawn. Does the NMC therefore assert that, in like fashion, these relatives are, quote, at liberty to contact the police and that this is their advice to them? They make no reply.

The critic of the LCP mentioned above, Peter Millard Emeritus Professor of Geriatrics, warns that there is a risk that elderly people with chronic conditions and disorders may be easily dismissed as dying when that may not, indeed, be the case. Certain media have even compared the LCP with euthanasia. Euthanasia is still against the law in this land. Perhaps, then, the advice of the NMC does stand in good stead and these relatives should be, quote, at liberty to contact the police. And is that their advice to them? The NMC makes no reply.

The Liverpool Care Pathway was a tool designed to be used with patients already diagnosed to be terminally ill; it was never a diagnostic tool per se to determine a terminal condition. It was designed at the Marie Curie Hospice in Liverpool specifically for the terminally diagnosed patient and to recognise when a point had been reached that death was near or imminent so as to provide as peaceful and gentle path from this world as might be provided. These patients were already diagnosed to be dying from cancer; the Pathway was not the tool used to make that diagnosis, but a means - a 'pathway' to follow - to determine that point.

A culture of death is pervading the NHS in the UK. A dark shadow is stalking our hospitals and care homes. The right to death is becoming paramount over the right to life. The LCP is providing a newfound legitimacy and cover to an unspoken policy that has, actually, been in place for decades! Will the NMC, if it will do nothing more, not add its voice to that of Dr. Peter Hargreaves and others and raise a hue and cry to get this Care Pathway rolled back and removed? Will the Care Quality Commission, the new body set in place to investigate such matters not step in?

The NMC have stated that any further correspondence will be filed, but not answered. Then, let it go on record that the NMC were asked to add their voice to denounce this scandal and declined to do so. Posterity will look back in anger and horror!

An afterword:

The Department of Health committed to investing 286 million pounds over the two years to 2011 to support implementation of this End of Life Care Strategy. That is 286 million pounds spent to assist people on their path to the next world while denying the necessary funding to keep them alive and well in this!

A Daily Mail on-line article outlines how we in the UK have the worst cancer survival rate in the western world. Doctors in our local surgeries, hospitals and health care centres are providing us with treatments based on our illness, our age, our families. The Daily Mail article explains how doctors tend to late-diagnose older patients or provide them with less beneficial treatments. The elderly are routinely denied surgery or drugs.

It is a duty incumbent upon every medical person to protect life and to do no harm. And yet, through the LCP, there is a policy set in place at Caterham Dene - and across the NHS - to make no great effort to intervene to preserve life, to let them go and even to help them on their way.

So much of the public purse to spend on death, so little to spend on life. There is something very wrong here. The elderly, suffering from the most terminal of all illnesses - OLD-AGE - are on the sharp end of this cutting-edge of end-of-life policies. A culture of death really is pervading the NHS in the UK. A dark shadow is stalking our hospitals and care homes. The right to death is becoming paramount over the right to life!

Retinoblastoma is a life-threatening eye cancer which develops in children from birth to around six years. The condition is often diagnosed late when the tumour/s have had time to grow extensively within the eye.

In the UK it is treatable but, often, more aggressive treatments are needed - in many cases the treatment used for these large tumours is to remove the whole eye (enucleation) sometimes with follow-up chemotherapy.

Children go on to endure invasive check-ups, initially under general anaesthetic, throughout childhood. Many children face the challenges of living with an artificial eye. The result of late diagnosis for many children is loss or partial loss of vision.

An early diagnosis would lead to a greater choice of treatment options for many children and more aggressive treatments may not be necessary.

The signs of retinoblastoma can be spotted by a parent. If a parent was aware of the significance of these signs they could seek medical help sooner, reducing the chance of the child losing an eye and therefore saving some sight.

There is currently no information provided by the NHS for parents, such as the Birth to Five book, NHS Direct online or the PCHR (red book), which alerts parents that there may be a serious problem with their child’s eyes.

There are a number of signs of retinoblastoma, amongst these are;
A white/yellow/orange reflex in the pupil/s, which may be noticed in artificial light or in flash photography.
A squint
A change to the colour of the iris in one eye.
A red and swollen eye with or without the presence of infection
An absence of ‘red eye’ in one eye in a photo.
Deterioration in vision.

Unlike other serious childhood illnesses, there may be no other obvious symptoms that the child has cancer. Only awareness of the signs will prompt the parent to seek help.

It is possible for a GP to do a simple, non invasive, red reflex test to identify abnormalities in the retina and make a referral if found. Equally a red reflex test can be used to rule out serious illness if no abnormality is present and concerned parents can be reassured.

We propose simple changes to NHS information for parents, which would also alert the parent to other serious eye conditions such as Nystagmus, Cataract and Coat’s Disease as well as retinoblastoma (childhood eye cancer) and give them the confidence to approach their GP with their concerns.

In a survey conducted by the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust in May 2011 with 1,001 parents of children under 6 years old, over 70% said they would like more information to be available. Now we need your support to help make this happen.

NHS publications are highly valued by parents, and, of those surveyed, 75% of parents said they would look for information about serious eye conditions in these documents.

A Telecommunication company is proposing to build a 35 metre hight monople antenna directly in front of high density residential area.

In their proposal, they claim that this type of antenna is best suited to a non residential area. This base station is more powerful than the others situated around our suburb. Should this go ahead, our suburb will be surrounded by a cluster of mobile phone station bases.

We are concerned about the long term effects of EMEs, and that these will add more EMEs that are already being emitted from other sources in our area.

Dr. Olle Johansson, testifying by teleconference from Sweden, told the Canada’s Parliamentary Standing Committee in April 2010 that Canada’s Safety Code 6 is “completely out of date and obsolete” in terms of protecting people from “prolonged low-intensity exposures” to microwave radiation from cellphones, cell towers and masts, Wi-Fi, and smart meters.

The safety level in Safety Code 6 is some 6,000 times less stringent than the safety level advocated in The BioInitiative Report, which was released in 2007 by the University of Albany and includes about 2,000 expert international research studies (such as those done by Dr. Johansson) on electromagnetic radiation (EMR), electromagnetic fields (EMFs), and brain tumours, leukemia, and other illnesses.

The co-editor of The BioInitiative Report recently told Harper’s (May 2010), “If EMFs function both as a carcinogen and a neurotoxin, then it’s not just brain tumours and brain cancers” that could result; “it’s also testicular cancer, breast cancer, leukemia, lymphoma, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and a range of cognitive and behavioural problems.”

UK's Dr. Goldsworthy told the Parliamentary Committee that microwave radiation disrupts bird migration and “probably causes colony collapse disorder in bees.” Recent research from Europe has shown that bees exposed to EMR from cell towers made 21% less honeycomb and more than one-third of bees, taken a half-mile from the hive, couldn’t navigate back home.

Several European governments are already moving to prohibit Wi-Fi in government buildings and on campuses, and the Austrian Medical Association is lobbying for a ban of all Wi-Fi systems in schools, citing the danger to children’s thinner skulls and developing nervous systems.”

The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre offers treatment and care to 60% of Scotland's population. During a difficult time, the staff at The Beatson provide excellent support to patients.

However, parking enforcers are hounding those unfamiliar with the area and its parking, adding additional stress to those already dealing with a very emotional and difficult time. These fines are completely unfair and plain money grabbing.

Chief Executive Tom Divers claims lack of managed parking regimes and commuters taking advantage of free hospital parking have led to the introduction of parking charges. Surely this is the lazy and unintelligent option?

This petition hopes to make NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde rethink the parking charges at The Beatson, so patients can at least have their treatment without the worry of a fine when they leave the building.

The fluoridation of water in the City of Red Deer should be decided via plebiscite during the 2013 election to let the citizens decide the issue in a democratic process and in the process, do so at least cost.

This petition is for the people to speak directly about fluoridation of water.

Speaking with a couple of the current City Councilors about the topic, fluoridation in municipal water is a divisive issue and a reasonable approach to such an issue is to have it decided directly by the people – not by special interest groups, not by special interest Councilors, not by corporations or by persons with vested interests.

Municipal water has undergone a fluoridation process for many, many years and taking time to better understand the process and the concerns. It is not a detrimental do or die situation. We can, at low cost, decide the issue via plebiscite during the 2013 Municipal Election.

In the meantime, speak with your Dentist, Doctor, Hygienist, call the University of Alberta Dental School, and research the topic via the Internet to be prepared with your YES/NO response come 2013.

Smoking causes many life threatening illnesses such as lung cancer and heart disease. Also, for every two hours you spend in a smoke-filled environment, you are inhaling the equivalent of one pack of cigarettes in secondhand smoke.

Furthermore, when non-smokers are exposed to secondhand smoke it is called involuntary smoking or passive smoking. Non-smokers who breathe in secondhand smoke take in nicotine and other toxic chemicals just like smokers do. The more secondhand smoke you are exposed to, the higher the level of these harmful chemicals in your body.

Lastly, about 3,400 lung cancer deaths in non-smoking adults are caused by secondhand smoke. Smokers not only kill themsleves, but murder others who do not smoke too.

People should have the right to choose whether or not to be exposed to fluoride. Unfortunately many of us were never given that choice. Today it is almost impossible to escape fluoride. It is in the fountain pop at the drive thru, at your local coffee shop, bottled and draft beer, you get the idea. At home we cook, shower and bath in it, its ridiculous!

Now the thing you might find interesting is where does the fluoride come from? The fluoride used in our drinking water is an industrial waste product from the aluminum and phosphate fertilizer industry. It is an unprocessed contaminated waste with a number of toxins, particularly arsenic. This type of fluoride has never Been Tested for safety and effectiveness. However it has been very effective as rat poison and cockroach powder.

So why do we put this in our water? The answer is simple, money. But not money for us, or our community, money for the corporations. By promoting it as a some kind of dental miracle they are able to eliminate their waste and make a profit at the same time. But does it benefit our teeth? New evidence suggests that fluoridation is either unnecessary or doesn't work. Cavities have declined at similarly impressive rates throughout the entire western, industrialized world over the past half century where there was no fluoridation.

Fluoride is not meant to be swallowed, if you look on your tooth paste it will advise you to contact poison control if accidentally swallowed. Why is it okay to drink it then? Neuroblastoma is one of the most aggressive forms of childhood cancer; after domestic accidents, cancer is the second most frequent cause of death in children.

It is the single most common type of cancer in infants and the 3rd most common type of cancer in children. However, very few people have ever heard of it and most do not know the signs and symptoms.

This means that although symptoms may have been present in the child for some time, in over 75% of children, the diagnosis is not made until the disease has metastasized and reached stage IV, the final stage. Prognosis for this group is very grim, offering a 30% chance of survival.

In contrast, children diagnosed in the early stages have up to a 95% chance of survival.

Treating a child who has stage IV neuroblastoma costs an average of $976,860 in the first year alone. 600-1000 kids a year are diagnosed with neuroblastoma in the US every year.

Since Friday foods and vegetables with a radioactive level of 10 times or more the EU approved limit have been allowed to be imported into Germany.

Foodwatch and the Environmental Institute (Munich) are very critical of this development. The German public and their children should be protected from cancer causing radioactive ingestion at all costs.

Patients in Swindon have to endure a 70-mile round trip to Oxford for radiotherapy. This is a stressful journey, particularly when coping with the effects of cancer treatment.

The people of Swindon want a radiotherapy unit to be created at the Great Western Hospital.

Feedback from a public meeting held in 2005 gave a clear indication of a locally unmet need around the provision of information and support for cancer patients and their carers and also for the wider general public on issues such as screening and cancer awareness.

In pursuit of this goal a Working Party comprising representatives from NHS Bolton - the Primary Care Trust, the Royal Bolton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Macmillan Cancer Support, cancer patients and carers have been developing a business case for the proposed centre and have received the first Architect’s drawings of how the Centre might look. At the point at which the final meeting in the Feasibility Study being undertaken by Macmillan was due to have taken place, NHS Bolton withdrew their support of the project.

Whilst we remain hopeful of a successful bid to Macmillan for building costs and several years running costs, the project is dependent on assurances of having the running costs picked up once their pump-priming comes to an end, which is where NHS Bolton would come in; as Commissioners of our local Health Services and decision makers on how the budget for such is spent, it would fall to them to pick up these costs.

Cancer will indiscriminately touch the lives of 1 in 3 people; of the several thousand local people referred for suspected cancer last year alone, 1430 people received a cancer diagnosis at the Royal Bolton Hospital. Nothing can change the devastating impact of a cancer diagnosis but much can be done to support and empower patients and their families throughout the journey With the number of people being diagnosed on the increase, plus improvements in treatment and screening, there are a growing number of people who could potentially benefit from this facility, not to mention the advantages of such a resource to the wider general public.

Formaldehyde is a toxic carcinogenic poison, and it is found in many textile products in the Australian market place. Even in "all natural" cotton products.

There needs to be some sort of regulations on this toxic poison, manufacturers of products should be required to at least label their products as containing formaldehyde, particularly due to the fact that there are many people who are allergic to this chemical, as well as many cancer sufferers who unknowingly expose themselves to this carcinogen on a daily basis.

Article in the Newcastle herald Monday Feb 7th 2011 .. reads that the hunter region is experiencing a crisis in cancer treatment services and that 30 people with just 2 types of cancers died last year in the hunter alone before even being able to see a cancer specialist.

Waiting times to see specialist and start chemotherapy are so extreme that two men responsible for the regions cancer service have gone public. The region only has about 55% of what is needed to cater to people with these needs. further more the hunter hasn't met the 2 week waiting time benchmarks for over 10 years n it has increased to waiting over 7 weeks last year alone and people are loosing their lives before being able to get treatments.

There is a very good chance that asbestos is present in homes built between the 1950s and the early 1980s. It may also be found in homes built before or after these dates. If it is in poor condition, gets damaged or releases fibres in any way, you and other residents are at risk. If you carry out DIY on asbestos products, you are putting yourself in danger.

Many have already lost their lives or suffering from mesothelioma, a cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. We can't undo the damage already done, but many are risking their lives by removing and disposing of asbestos to escape the high fees to get a qualified asbestos removal company.

It is a proven fact that mesothelioma is caused by asbestos and i propose the government offer grants for removal and safe disposal of it. It was the government that allowed the use of asbestos, it is there responsibility to dispose of this

It is a must to have a free or reduced rate disposal plan.

The Coalition for Alternatives to Pesticides- Newfoundland and Labrador hopes you will support a province wide ban on cosmetic pesticide use in Newfoundland and Labrador. New Brunswick, PEI, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec and dozens of municipalities in Canada have banned lawn care pesticides but our provincial government still permits their sale and use. The government of Alberta has banned weed-and-feed because levels of this product in waterways are approaching dangerous levels.

- Known to cause childhood cancers, reproductive and neurological problems and fatalities in children, pesticides pose a risk to health that far outweighs the look of a nice lawn.

- You may be unaware that you are being exposed to a poison, particularly if you live in an urban area. Even if you do not use pesticides, your neighbour or landlord may be doing so.

- Cosmetic pesticides are unnecessary. There are many organic lawn care methods that are easy to implement and do not involve large amounts of chemicals entering the air and water.

Smoking can cause many diseases such as lung cancer and tuberculosis. People should be able to smoke, but not in public places. Smoking can even harm innocent people that DON'T smoke because the smoke can get in the innocent people's lungs.
