It has been stated that a retail business is being considered for the corner of Faith and Crescent Road, slightly before the city limits of Faith, NC.
This intersection is heavily traveled as it brings the eastern, south-eastern parts of the county thru the Faith area on their way to and from Salisbury.
This area cannot handle the amount of traffic a retail business may produce in addition to this being zoned residential housing/homes!
We, the residents of Faith and Crescent Road, DO NOT want any retail business to be placed on the said property.
We feel our reasons are just therefore presenting this petition to voice our disagreement for this proposal. Below you will see many of our concerns not including the ones we are unaware of.
1) Retail businesses should be located in a business area - A TOWN! Not in a residential area.
2) A retail business will need lighting. We have children and family as we are in a residential area! Why would we want the bright lighting of a parking lot shining in our homes all night long?
3) The increase of traffic in an area hard to get into or out of will be dangerous to all who travel this area.
4) Litter and trash will increase greatly.
5) The increase of noise for this residential/family area will be tremendous.
