We Support the Mackey Family: We Request the Board look into this Wrongful Termination of Employment

On April 5, 2017 the Hendrick Hudson School District terminated the employment of a lifelong community member who was employed as a custodian. The custodian, Donnie Mackey was out on FLMA leave recovering from open heart surgery at the time of his termination. Donnie was brought up on a bogus insubordination charge for sending a private text message to a trusted friend. He was fired over a private text messaged.
The district has taken away a lifelong community member’s livelihood.
We the undersigned are requesting the Board of Education to look into these disciplinary charges. We would like this to be corrected before there is a wrongful termination lawsuit against the district that ultimately the tax payers will shoulder.
