Owhiro Bay Residents Association wants Wellington City Council Environment Committee not to approve a motion allowing camping at Happy Valley Park.
Community consultation and public meetings have indicated there is no community support for camping at Happy Valley Park. The community is small, has no facilities and already supports one freedom camping area and a landfill.
We, the undersigned, call on Wellington City Council's Environment Committee on Thursday 26 November to reject any motion that supports the establishment of a campground at Happy Valley Park in line with the recommendation made by the subcommittee on 12 November 2015.
