Many grandparents in the USA are being forbidden to see their grandchildren. A group here in Virginia want to change that and will do whatever it takes to get it done. We are seeking a law that will take into account what is in the child's best interest.
We are working on a petition to change what little rights Grandparents have in court in Virginia to much better ones. We have studied many other states grandparents right that are fabulous.
Our goal in our petition is to gain at least 2000 signatures. They will be hand delivered to the ones we can and mailed to the other Delegates and senators in Virginia. Then our group hopes to personally talk and hand deliver our petition to the Governor of Virginia.
We, the undersigned, call on the legislative body of Virginia to realize that grandparents in the State of Virginia need fair rights and treatment in regards to visitation and/or custody of their grandchild / grandchildren.
We are seeking a law that stands by itself, not hidden in another law.
