There have been many incidents of cosmetic damage to resident's vehicles. Students are extremely angry and upset to come and find their vehicles have experienced damaged.
The Village parking lot, is the only resident parking lot without any video camera surveillance, which makes many students very unsafe.
An average student has to pay for tuition, room and board, a parking permit, books, supplies, etc. why must students worry about existing or future car repairs? Eastern Michigan University should provide The Village Resident Complex with video surveillance for safety of students and monitoring for our vehicles.
We, the undersigned, call on the Eastern Michigan University Public Safety Department to place video surveillance in The Village Resident Complex parking lots.
We are going to have pride in what we stand for, and ensure that something must be done. We want comfort and assurance that we are safe and our vehicles are safe at all times, with the help of video surveillance.
